This is a set of questions I feel need to be answered.
First off, how early would you reserve your hotel for Sakura Con?
Second, do you pre-register or do you pay at the door?
How do you normally get to Sakura Con?
What are your favorite places to eat?
How many people do you normally go with?
If you are new to Sakura Con just say what you expect to be doing. ^_^
Only got to go one year, but as a Seattle native, I'll try to help.
"First off, how early would you reserve your hotel for Sakura Con?"
As early as you can. Though you can get some good deals the week of, you don't want to get stuck out in the cold. Of course, you could also contact friends who live nearby. An hour commute isn't unreasonable around here.
"Second, do you pre-register or do you pay at the door?"
For the love of all that is good, pre-reg if you can! It is cheeper, the lines will be shorter and you don't have to worry about picking a day to go, just pre-reg for the whole con.
"How do you normally get to Sakura Con?"
If you are from out of town, get a hotel and walk. If your hotel is farther away, take the bus.
If you are a native, take the bus. Carpool if you have to drive. Seattle traffic can be brutal.
"What are your favorite places to eat?"
Eat breakfast before you leave, pack a lunch. Then all you have to worry about is Dinner. There are tons of places to eat if you are willing to walk around a bit or take a bus. Westlake has a good foodcourt, as does Seattle Center. Seattle Center is my favorite, you can hit the food court, which has a bit of everything, or the classic fast food joints in the area. If you like to make food and have access to a kitchen, Pike's Place Market is a great place to get fresh stuff, and has great snacks too.
"How many people do you normally go with?"
I would never go alone to a con. The year I went there were four or five of us, but I was on staff so I don't know if that really counts. Never walk around in Seattle alone during the day unless you know where you are going. And never EVER EVER walk around after dark by yourself. Trust me.
