I was curious where people get their books exactly. Right now I like to get mine at the library because I'm broke, but I also like to get them off of Amazon with free shipping and Half-Priced books because there's good stuff there too. I'm particular about the kind of library I prefer, which is medium to small. Too big and I get lost. I also steal books from my new husband mrgreen

I get a large amount of my books from the public library.
Although, I am starting to get really obsessed with buying used classics from bookstores. I have quite a big pile of those I need to start... sweatdrop

I get most of my books from charity shops, it's good for three reasons, 1: You get books for a fraction of the price, 2: You find books that maybe you wouldn't have considered before and can afford to take a risk, and 3: I'ts for a good cause! Other then that, there's a really good, quirky, little, used bookstore tucked right out the way of everything, that is always fun to browse in (quite cheap too !). And then there is of course Amazon and Ebay, though I have lost a couple of books from Amazon from private sellers.

I used to get all my books from the store until I noticed I don't read many books twice. From then on, I've stuck to borrowing books from the library unless it is really necessary to buy it from the store (especially when the library doesn't have it and I am determined to read it.) Unfortunately, none of my friends are bookworms so I can't borrow books from them. = =

I work in a book store so I buy a lot of my books. I also save up money from tips, birthdays, and christmas for library book sales.
I borrow from my cousin
I buy from half price stores, and online if I am already buying for something else.
I ask for books for gifts

I buy books through Amazon and bookstores.
I also am a member of paperbackswap.com. I love being able to swap out my old books & get a different set of books back.

I get most of my books now from the public library and some from my school library, but I got to say my school's selection in fantasy is really pathetic. I had a better selection in Junior High. Thankfully school's library is working on it. sweatdrop

I buy almost all of mine, because I like collecting books.
I get mine about anywhere, really. Some I buy at regular bookstores, and some I order used online or get from used bookstores. I normally prefer to buy new or like-new ones, though, because it bothers me when spines are creased or pages are written on, etc. (Not to mention used books that carry strange smells with them. xD)
I also occasionally go to the library, for books I'm not sure whether I'll like or not. Normally when I get something from the library, I end up buying my own copy soon afterwards anyway, though. My room is basically slowly turning into a library.

I buy books most of the time because the public library is quite far from my house and the books in the school library are usually old. If there are new ones there will be this 'booking' system and therefore i'm unable to borrow them.
So, I always choose the books carefully because they are getting more expensive by the day. Anyway, my study is slowly becoming a mini library.

Bookstore, I live in a college town so their are plenty of places to pick some up. Sometimes I have to surf the web for specific ones.

I get my books form the bookstore, my mom, grandma and my aunt(who gets the editor/review copies of books). Also some of my friends lend me books but most of them lend books from me. I haven't been to the library in years but I do frequent used bookstores or online used bookstores, mostly for out of print or hard to find books. Books are always high on my list of Birthday/Christmas gifts and I always get Barnes and Noble gift cards.

I love amazon.com but I also love some of the deals and bargains you can find in stores.
At our college bookstore, I always check the english section, even though I'm not taking english classes, but because sometimes they have used books for cheap.
Just this semester I picked up a copy of Fahrenheit 451 for a few bucks.
