Ok, so as a general rule of thumb, I absolutely suck at drawing. But then every now and then I surprise myself by drawing something, well, not great, but that sucks slightly less than usual.

I was mucking around in photoshop and was quite pleased with the results of my idle doodling. This image was a rare success on 2 fronts. Firstly, a slightly less sucky drawing by me. Secondly, a slightly less sucky drawing by me of one of only about 4 half decent photos of me in existence.

It's only a rough sketchy outline/line drawing. I will hopefully (bouyed by its success thus far) continue to work on it and will keep you posted.

Meanwhile, comments? opinions? You can view it here: Arnoria's self-portrait

It does not suck, it looks like it captures features pretty well, and that is very hard to achieve you are getting used to a tablet.

There are a couple things I find for tips I can give.

Try to clean up the lines by going onto another layer, decreasing the opacity of the first layer, and tracing in solid flat black brush on the second layer.
When you do this, you can also add more detail into your picture and zoom in to get precise lines that don't look sketchy.

Different size brushes is probably a good thing to experiment with
That helps for a good contour drawing in CG.

hopefully that sounded like it was in English.
From what I've discovered from people online is that CG line art has a big emphasis on crispness.
Alas, I haven't perfected that yet.
