Ok, so this movie isn't exactly historically ACCURATE, but hey.. who cares.
(also, I had no idea, but this movie is supposedly a remake of an older movie called Inglorious Bastards.. though don't call me out on that.)

Plot: "In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers."

Acting: As always, Quentin Tarentino is keen to find the best actor for each role. Brad Pitts' performance was both awesome and hilarious. Brad Pitt plays an army Lieutenant by the name of Aldo Raine, a Hillbilly Jew from Tennessee. He leads his group of "Basterds" on a James Bond-style mission to annihilate the fuhrer.
I have to say, however, my favorite actor overall was the actor named Cristoph Waltz, who plays a German Colonel and #1 Jew hunter in all of the 3rd Reich. His performance was amazing, seeing as his portrayal of a scheming hate-monger was so perfect you could not help but think.. damn... that guy IS a Nazi.

Final Thoughts:
Although at times the conversations held between two characters could seem to run on and on and on (ex. Pulp Fiction), this kind of thing is to be expected from Tarentinos' movies. In my opinion, the whole goal of this movie was to say "what if WWII really ended like this", and it did a damn good job of portraying an alternate reality.

If you are a Tarentino fan, I highly recommend seeing this movie. So what if it isn't historically accurate, this guy knows how to make history fun.

No. That pretty much sums it up. Short straight and to the point. I like it.
