I know, with HGSS coming up, I feel stupid for even asking...
But what was your Platinum in-game team? :3
Mine was:
Empoleon
Staraptor
Gardevoir
Toxicroak
Tangrowth
Electivire
Feel free to post movesets, ect.

Bam!
They're not EV trained and their movesets are riddled with HMs, but whatevs they get the job done.
Also, I think my Rotom is in Fridge Form. I can't remember.
Anyway, you know, I am adamantly against choosing my HG/SS teams. I planned out my DPPt teams, but something in my heart wants me to just play HG/SS spontaneously, like I did ten years ago with GSC. There was no team planning then.
However, I totally want to use a Steelix, Kingdra, Slowking, and all the other Pokémon I could never use because I had no way to do trade evolutions back then. :|
Also, I suppose this would be a "post your teams!" thread, which technically isn't allowed. But I'll allow it because you're awesome and I just added the additional element of discussion of team planning fads/HGSS teams. ;3 See guys? if I like you enough, I cut you lots of slack!

Leafeon should get more respect... :/ I really like him. x_x;
It's cool to see more people that wanna do things spontaneously like I do. xD
I also don't EV train my in-games. x_x; It takes off some of the seriousness and I feel like the game can be more fun. :3
Let's cross our fingers for that trading glitch. xD

Leafeon is really fun to use. I should try my hand at Glaceon sometime, but ehhhh. 
And there's no way I could EV train my in-game team, either. I'm much too concerned with leveling up enough so I don't get my a** beat by the next Gymleader. I can't take extra time to make sure what I'm grinding on will give me the correct EVs (and if not, to backtrack to a place with Pokémon that DO give the right EVs).
Oh stars yes. Trade glitching, come back tooo meeeeee.

I don't have a Plat team [yet.....?], and I don't know what I want for HG/SS yet, aside from Chikorita and.... .... gonk OH NOES I DUN KNOW WHO I WANTED FOR THE SILVER PACK ANYMORE. ;-; I think it was Totodile, because I have a female Cynda on my Diamond. Who came out when I wanted a male, of course. XD
I do have one and a half boxes full of Pokemon I plan on trading over, though. 3nodding Most are all level one, which I think should add some fairness. I think I'll also train over the in-game baby [Happiny/Riolu] and my Leafeon/Glaceon, as I haven't done anything with them other than evolve them. [They're sitting in a box entitled "babies/eggs", under lv. 10. XD;]
I also never EV train. Seems too... I wanna say difficult, but it's mostly just knowing the Pokemon, right? [But I really don't have the time to memorize what 493 pokemon give in the way of stats, nor the time to download/make a list. And I'm not going outside to use the internet just to check for points.] It's also not really fair, if you run into some random stranger, or, if the Pokemon were real, to them. I know it sounds really cheesy/stupid, but I don't think it'd be nice to not want a Pokemon just because of its nature, its stats, or whatever. Because, if they were in the real world, we honestly wouldn't care about that, and stick to anime/manga style training. Not Golduck-hunting.
Feel free to make fun of me for it. XP
I think Tippy should post her Government thread, because now I'm intrigued. Though, it sounds familiar. Did there used to be one similar to it before?

And there wasn't a government theory thread in the past. I've just been toying with the idea of making one, since my main RP deals a lot in the politics/government side of the Pokémon world, and I'm kinda curious as to what everyone else things about that sort of thing.

Yeah, I think a while back, someone made a post like that. I remember wanted to throw in my two cents, but couldn't be bothered because it'd be tl;dr like the other posts in said thread.

....well. Less hillbilly, but you know. xD My team usually ends up being the first five I catch. xD 'cept the Riolu was given to me. I have no idea who got bumped for that. Might've been either the Bidoof or the Kricketune. One of the two Pokemon that I forgot in DayCare. Or maybe it was Staraptor? Yea, it was him! ...I actually have no idea what's in my Diamond team at this exact moment. /space cadet. Orite, Crobat was my flier.

@Staraptor discussion: He is pretty badass. I was sad that I had to take him out. @Person with Tropius in their team: I run one too! 4laugh Too bad an Ice Beam does in most cool Pokemon. :V @melikefood: Everyone talks about RD teams, but never Hail/Sunny Day teams.
