I mostly write about the darker, more violent side of love. I've never been one for the fairy-tale romance and happily-ever-after endings. My love stories and poems are beautiful in a painful, abusive way.

Yeahh..... I know. I'm creepy like that. sweatdrop

I started writing at a really bad time in my life, so I'm very dark and gothic. Recently there has been an aspect of hope added to my writing, but its still very dark. I like morals, all of my stories have a moral to them. But sometimes the lessons we have to learn aren't good, you know.

Ooh! I'm the same way. Except I've been writing since seventh grade but most of my skills developed when my life turned to hell two years ago. sad

But I like people who write the dark and gothic stuff. It's more interesting that way! mrgreen

If anyone says Twilight to me, they'll loose MORE than just their legs! D; I seriously HATE those books! I'm sorry if anyone likes them here, but they're just SO overrated! Meyer RUNIED gothic romance AND vampires! Now you can't even mention vampires without someone screaming TWILIGHT!

I started writing pretty much since I started reading which was at the age or three. Really young but it was my form of stress relif. I experimented with a lot of different type of writing including the dark kind of stuff but I found what I liked writing about the most was fantasy/adventure type of stuff.
I have happy ending in my stories because I know that life isn't always a happy ending and usually never is but I would like to write them. If that makes sence at all. I have a lot of different things in my books though. There is action, adventure, a little romance, and other things. I think the perfect book can balance all of those things together.

On the subject of Twilight I have a firend here that sent me a pm that says that the author, Meyer, was being sued by someone for plegurising her book, called the Nocturn. The Nocturn was published in 2006 I beleive and she posted stuff on the internet before publishing it but if you looked at the excerpts they had from the Nocturn and Breaking Dawn it was like oh my god what a b***h!! They were very similar. That makes me sick!!

I used to write fantasy/adventure. I had like this long book with all these different parts that I wrote in second grade. I wish I still had it. sad

Did Meyer really do that?! surprised OHEMGEE! xD That's epic! Well, it's bullshit too, but it's super funny. I guess she started running out of her own material to use with all those stupid sequels. xD

Thank you! You just made my day! 4laugh

A lot of what I write is the result of assignments given to me by my vocal teacher.
I'm given a piece of music to work on and once I've learned the song she asks me to write a story based on the song in order to make it mean more to me.
Since I predominantly sing sad songs about love, I usually write tragic love stories. A lot of them are about unrequited love and I've written at least one about someone mourning her deceased lover. There was another one about a dying person's encounter with Death where he's thinking about how beautiful she is. In one a girl is reading a letter written to her detailing why her lover left her.
I don't usually do happy pieces.

Gurren Lagann is a huge insperation on me and my writing. The show is full of golden quotes, one liner gems, and dramatic, inspirational speeches.
like this one:
Quote:

Mark my words! This drill will open a hole in the universe! And that hole will be a path for those behind us! The dreams of those who've fallen! The hopes of those who'll follow! Those two sets of dreams weave together in a double helix! Drilling a path towards tomorrow! And that's Tengen Toppa! That's Gurren Lagann!! My drill...IS THE DRILL THAT CREATES THE HEAVENS!!!

((The show is largely about the symbolism of drills))

And quotes from Dragonball(Z,GT) inspire me as well like:
Quote:

You may have invaded my mind and my body, but there's one thing a Saiyan always keeps...his pride!!!

And this bit from Capitan planet
Quote:
The power is yours!!!!

With me, I prefer sci-fi, fiction, and fantasy. But really, I'll write anything, it just depends on what mood I'm in at the moment. Some of my stuff will be sorta psychotic and all over the place, and some will be really meaningful, and some will be happy and kinda funny. I dunno. I'll give feedback on anything though, 'cause all writing's good to read when it's well written, regardless of genre.

On the Twilight thing, I don't actually mind the books themselves. Nor do i actually mind the characters. (Although, sparkly vampires is kinda stupid.) The thing that pisses me off is all the hype about the books. They'd be ok if it weren't for the whole mention vampires and get a reaction like: OMG EDWARDISSMEXYHOTTDIEBELLA!!!!
