This thread is used to create characters for either side of the RP. Post here when you have an idea for a character, using the profile skeleton, and one of our helpful GMs and Lieutenants will assist in tearing your profile to shreds bettering it.

Eve Profile Skeletons.

This is the skeleton that all players wishing to play an Eve must use:

Character Name: (Please keep it realistic, or I will beat you senseless.

IF YOU HAVE A JAPANESE NAME, YOU HAVE A JAPANESE CHARACTER. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION. THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY OF EXCEPTION. DO NOT DREAM OF IT. DO NOT THINK OF IT. I AM A HARSH, HARSH MAN.)
Gender: (Joe, even YOU cannot screw this up if you want to be accepted.)
Age: (Please keep this fairly young - it's really for the sake of the narrative, so it's not a requirement. Old men don't quite work so smoothly, though.)
Race: (For pity's sake, ONLY HUMAN RACES. Anything else will be ignored with extreme prejudice.)
Physical Description: (Durh. Be detailed - I especially want distinguishing details from other characters so I can visualize them. Be it an odd hairstyle, specific piercings, a missing left arm - I don't care, as long as it's realistic. Just make sure that it's individual.)
Personality: (Easy enough. Again, enough detail that I could write for them if I needed to.)
Biography: (Be realistic. I want to avoid military histories if possible, but that's not a requirement - feel free to go with it anyhow, if you must. Please understand that you ARE NOT FROM THE FUTURE. You are from the present. You are going to be oddly thrown into this mix.)
Skills: (Realistic things. They'll come in handy, I'm sure...)
Weapons: (Most to all Adam-team or Eve weapons are melee. Those that are not are thrown in one way or another. Included in this area are weapons that you summon for yourself, if that is your Sigil ability (as per Lionel).)
Sigil Abilities: (You start with a fairly reasonable power. Check out what other players have (it will be listed under their profiles) and follow suit. Powers will be added on later on.)
Other: (Anything I forgot? Put 'er down.)

Tonas
Character Name: Joneleth (Jon) Maxwell
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Race: British
Physical Description: Thin, but muscled slightly, broad shoulders, brownish blonde hair, green eyes and chiseled features. Jon's hair is relatively loose and below shoulder length, however it is kept in a short tail by a thin wrap. Though he has some facial hair, he has a bushy goatee along with his long sideburns, making him appear very rugged. His bangs fall on either side of his face, covering neither of his eyes and frame his visage perfectly.
Personality: An amorous but good-hearted individual who cares about the common good of all people, however only after considering what is in it for him. Despite his often immature ulterior motives, he knows exactly the right thing to say in almost any situation, his charm is undeniable, though he tends to move a bit quickly and often tends to over-step his bounds when speaking to women in particular.
Biography: Attending Rosewater Academy for Gifted Students in London, Joneleth was among the brightest and most talented of all the young men attending the university. His only flaw was his carefree attitude. He honestly was bored with the studies that were presented to him. He always had so much time to kill that he decided to pursue the sport of fencing and began to understand and appreciate the feel and grace that a sword represented. His movements were well executed and planned several attacks ahead of his opponent. If one were to look into Jon's eyes, he could see an observer watching himself, and another observer watching that observer, critiquing each movement and watching every motion that is made.
He unfortunately, as with all men, has a more difficult time with women and understanding emotions. His pursuits were not completely fruitless, as many young women were more than happy to oblige to his constant and calculated maneuvers in wooing them, however more often than not, his bed was occupied only by himself.
Skills: He is highly intelligent, calculated and thoughtful in both swordsmanship and strategy. He knows how to move very quickly and fight with passion, though he has a low endurance and tires slightly faster than most individuals.
Weapons: An antique rapier that is a replica of an officer's blade of some forgotten war. He has possessed this blade since he was 18 as a graduation gift after finishing at Rosewater Academy for Gifted Students by his father. It has been seven years since his parents were caught in a tragic fire and died in the ruins of their former home. To Jon, the sword has come to represent the mortality of life and the messenger of his own feelings.
Sigil Abilities:Time Manipulation (Explanation: Jon is able to temporarily stop time in an area around his body. To further explain, he stops all living things within range by interfering with their sense of time. This makes him unable to stop things such as bullets or missile attacks that have already been set in motion, but it will freeze any who are within range completely for the duration that he wills it. The longer the time, the more people within range and the larger the area that he is controlling, the greater the strain that is placed on his heart. The more difficult challenge that is placed on his heart, the closer he comes to passing out, or dying.
Other: Jon came to America to pursue new business opportunities for his father's old steel company only two years after his death. He never imagined he'd be staying this long or have all that has occurred transpire.

Redirected here temporarily while I work out a few more quirks here and there with the author.

Name: 蘇續恬
Pinyin: Su Xu Tian
English Equivalent: Xutian Su
Meaning: Eternal Calm/Peace
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Race: Chinese
Physical Description: Xu stands about 5 feet and 7.5 inches, and weighing about 130 pounds. He is thin and wry, from a combination of studying and lack of physical activity. His hair is parted towards his right, with bangs that hang over the corner of his forehead. The back goes halfway down his neck. His hair is a really dark black, so much that it can almost “blend” into the night sky. He has a pair of silver glasses which he wears for being near-sighted. Even after "sigil influence", he still continues to wear his glasses, for it reminds him that he was once still “normal.”
Personality: Xu is very bright, meaning he learns and is able to “grasp” things incredibly fast. He puts a high value of life and is usually unwilling to end any, even the opponent's. He will fight and passionately so too, but will not or at least try to avoid killing someone. He also carries a deep love for his brothers, whom are still over in China. He tries to look calm (even if he isn't) and has a weak spot for the young and less-fortunate.
Biography: Xu was born in China. His family included his parents, and two younger brothers. Xu's father runs a small business, while his mother usually stayed at home and did housework. Having two younger brothers, Xu tried to make himself an ideal older brother, and role model. Thus during his school years he had made few friends and generally spent all his time studying or otherwise doing schoolwork. Once he was 15, he went to America as an international student. After finishing high school there, he decided to further his education by going to university. His dad sends over money monthly, though it is just barely enough to cover Xu's tuition and board. He met Mike Felt when he was just moving into his apartment. Mike offered to help him unload and to call him if Xu ever needed anything. Xu, however, never took him up on that offer. It has been 3 years since then. Mike sent Xu an invitation to the party and Xu, thinking of how coldly he treated Mike before, accepted. He was late that day to the party (arriving at about the same time the Thief did).
Skills: Xu inherited his love for gardening from his mother. Since she was at home most of the time, she took up gardening as a way to pass the time. Xu learned how to tend his mother's crops and pretty soon he started to garden too. However, unlike her mother, Xu took it one step further. He began taking biology and chemistry classes to further his knowledge of plant and animal life. He also developed a love for exotic plants and flora, favoring them over his mother's crops. Xu is also very artistic, carrying around a journal to sketch down anything he considers “appealing” or interesting.
Weapon: Snake Vine; a vine bearing resemblance to a snake in shape (thus the name). It has limited intelligence and Xu consider it his “masterpiece.” Its head bears resemblance to a snakes head, but instead of fangs it has a serration of curved thorns that inject a extremely potent neurotoxin (which paralyzes the victim but does not kills them) into foes when bitten. The Snake Vine also lacks eyes, therefore it is blind and must be directed mentally by Xu. The length of the Vine is inconstant, for it constantly grows/”ungrows” to adapt to the circumstances. The two share a telepathic link, able to discern each others location and status at any given time. The Snake Vine has regenerative abilities and will usually regrow when damaged. The only exception to this is for when its burned. Once burned the Vine will either retreat underground or into Xu's bag to recover. The Snake Vine can also “divide” itself by creating multiple heads, to a maximum amount of 6. Each head can be directed to do varying tasks. It is deceptively strong, able to easily pull a full-grown man to the ground with one head. However, it would take at least two to constrain (as in to stop mobility) an average Host.
Sigil Abilities: Nature Based: Generally control/manipulation of flora and insects. Specific abilities are as follows:
Bio-personification: Xu can also animate plants and trees, meaning give them a certain degree of intelligence and the ability to become mobile. This takes energy a substantial amount of his energy and he would be somewhat exhausted after animating. The general rule for this technique is that the bigger and more complex the plant is, the more energy it is going to consume. Animated plants will stay so for 10~15 minutes, until Xu runs out of energy or falls unconscious, which ever comes first.
Bio-mutation: Xu can create artificial bio-life from drawing his energy from the “well” and then implanting the energy into an existing creature. By artificial, I mean not natural. That means if an organism can do something that it usually can't do (animation aside), that would usually mean that it has been mutated by Xu's energy. The Snake Vine is an example of Bio-mutation. However, unlike the Snake Vine, Bio-mutated creatures will usually die/wilt shortly after mutation, due to the imbalance of genes and DNA. The rule here is the more extravagant the mutation, the more energy required and thus the more energy spent.
Other: Xu is pronounced more like Shu instead of Su
Xu carries around a light, soft yellow “messenger” bag wherever he goes. The bag contains a book on biology, his journal (which he draws in during free time), his phone, music player, the Snake Vine (when it is dormant), and a few bags of seeds. The seeds are mainly fruit seeds, for when in emergency he can use to grow some fruit trees for food. While he could just summon a fruit tree, he finds it consumes less energy to just accelerate the growth of a seed. The time it takes a accelerated seed to grow into a fruit bearing tree is about 5 minutes.
Xu also has a pet cat and bird, given to him by by his mother when he went over to America.

Here's my character profile! I'm thinking this character would be an EVE. Gms please see if there is anything that needs to be improved or otherwise changed. I'll check back tomorrow, getting late over here xp .

Alright...FIRST! I'm going to apologize now for the epicly MONSTROUS Profile I have made for the Eves. This profile also makes assumptions about the history of the world after 2009, but not in any relation to the Host-Eves Conflict itself. sweatdrop Alright, boys and girls, here it is...

Character Name: Scott Kohler
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Race: Human (big surprise...)
Ethnicity: Anglo-Germanic-Norwegian, American Nationality
Physical Description: Tall, around 6' 5" (feet and inches), weighs 240 lbs. Well-built, imposingly large man, very muscular. Notable Greco-Roman style triangular taper with torso. Hard, sharp nose and thick, high cheek bones. Strong, grimacing face. Looks MUCH older, thanks to seemingly (but not abnormally) aged face. Hard blue eyes. Long-limbed, stands straight and tall. If this man walked through a crowd, they'd clear out of the way for their own safety. Brown-black hair, very short and close-cut. Has a deep, loud, but not gravelly voice, and has no accent to speak of, despite heavy Scandinavian and Germanic cultural roots, the result of 5 years of self-improvement. His most distinguishing features, however, are his war scars: he has a massive cannon fragment wound on his left side, stretching from his left hip to his shoulder. It is long, thick scar, that luckily healed with no damage to his muscular system. Another mark is a large nicking scar on his forehead, running from above his right eyebrow, along his hairline to a bit above his right ear. This wound is his most obvious one, yet has grown faint after 4 years.

See the hyper-link for an excellent picture of him. He's the guy on the right. http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/950253/prototype/images/prototype-20090521110937691.html?page=mediaFull

Personality: Surprisingly, he is something of a deceptively kind and, to children and dogs, sweet. He possesses a vast wealth of patience and sincerety for a 9 year Marine veteran, 8 of which which were spent as a non-comissioned officer. He actually became a Gunnery Sergeant only one year ago, and still bears tremendous urges to go back to his "Alpha Boys". His military efforts in the near-disasterous invasion of North Korea in 2012, up to its final conclusion with the reunification under South Korean rule in the face of the Chinese economic collapse (thanks to Western businessmen returning to Pro-West territory exclusively) led to quick rise in the ranks, and is a great leader of men. He has earned the Soldier's Honor Medal and the Bronze Star. He is a brave, determined man, who is glad to pay any price for his friends, comrades, and loved ones. Unfortunately, a string of bad girlfriends has left him seemingly cold and distant to any women who would wish to pursue him. His family is large and extensive, and he keeps in great contact with them. He is seen as the "Big Brother" of the easily 30+ children of the Kohler clan, and is well-known as "being good with the kids". He has only two real loves in his life: Sasha, oddly a Russian-bred German Shepherd dog, and Red, a Hungarian-bred Viszla (Viszlas ARE Hungarian, so this is not odd in the least). They alone seem to show off his tender, loving side, and are his loyal companions.
This does not mean he is a utterly cold, heartless man, but rather that initial interaction is difficult to begin. However, once you work past his cool shell, you will find no better friend or more understanding a listener. Has a VERY definite moral compass, balanced by absolute patriotism. Though perfectly willing to kill for his country, his morals and beliefs are UNQUESTIONABLE. He knows right and wrong, but knows when to ignore his conscience...

Biography: Scott Kohler has a relatively simple childhood. In fact, beyond being lower-rich class, there wasn't much that was remarkable to it. He was raised in Missoula, Montana, a relatively large city of Montana. Precisely why, or indeed how, a large clan of German/Scandinavian ranchers and businessmen wound up there is something of a family legend, having much to do with the family's arrival in America back in 1780. From there, they traveled west, stopping and starting for decades at a time. Finally, the clan, which had swelled with the addition of a notably English family (a very bizarre addition, had it not been for the fact that the English lad seeking the hand of one beauty of the clan not been handsome, rich, and VERY well-meaning) in 1860 the Kohler clan, over 160 strong, made their final migration out of Indianapolis to escape the Civil War. They reached their destination in 1864, thanks primarily to a deliberately slow pace and careful dodging of winter snows. The clan has lived in the area ever since. Scott comes from the central Kohler family itself, and it was expected that he would become a well to do rancher in the central areas of Montana. However, Scott was never one to go the easy route. The Rocky Mountains became his playground, his family dogs his constant companions. At the age of 15, he brought his own two German Shephards on a soul-finding journey into Glacier National park. Whatever he found there, as he does not speak of it readily, convinced him that, somehow, serving his beautiful country was the way to go. At age 17, after finally finishing high school a year early, he departed for the US Marines, determined to see his excellent swimming and survival skills (As well as well-developed marksmanship) be put to use. His family Men, as they were called, didn't like the sound of their up and coming scion dissappearing into the madness of the War on Terror, but decided to let him suffer his own choices. Within 3 years, he'd earned the Soldier's Honor Medal. A Bronze star and commision to Sergeant followed 2 years later. He was transferred to Korea in 2010 as part of a massive build-up to frighten off possible North Korean activity. In 2012, South Korea was invaded again. In the ensuing 3 years of vicious war, he quickly earned a recommendation for the Navy Cross after leading 12 men into NK territory to rescue 3 downed Naval Aviators in a brand-new type of carrier-borne strike bomber. Interestingly, they had discovered the location of the NK nuclear arsenal, and Kohler's efforts led directly to the total destruction of the WMDs.

It was during this heroic operation that he, for the most part, discovered his unique abilities. All of his powers were uncovered during those 3 mad weeks, and afterwards the Adam team, utterly against the wishes of the Marine Corps, basically kidnapped him and ran for dear life to their current base. Offered the possibility of protecting his country, he accepted tenuosly, on the condition that his state of lockdown be lifted. The Marines have since pressed charges, but the case is currently stuck inside the workings of Congress, too busy with capitalizing on the crash of Communist China to worry about a little war with Eves and Hosts.

Skills: Lots of military abilities. He posesses excellent first-aid abilities. Very survivable, can survive for months if necessary in isolated conditions. Good at setting traps, very smart and quick thinking. Has excellent moral judgement, and great intuition. Not skilled in quickly making friends, and awful with romantic interests.

Weapons: Forbidden to use his own firearms, he primarily carries knives and explosives. Grenades, such as smoke, frag, high-explosive, and napalm. Mostly, these are used for support.

Sigil Abilities: Missiles (He HATES big attack names, and NEVER announces them) is easily deflected, but low in short term energy cost-good for attacking enemy defenses, but relatively weak. CAN be definitely defeated. Able to be POURED on enemies, but not for a great length of time. Very basic, simple to use, and great support weapon, as long as he keeps his eyes on the enemy. Mirrors or other means of "sight beyond sight" can also be used, so long as he can SEE the target, he can manually guide them to a target. This makes them FAR slower, and much more draining to him. However, this extra input makes them a bit more powerful, and they are slow enough to be completely silent. Dogs and animals or others with HIGHLY enhanced hearing can hear them, but otherwise, very stealthy. Are limited to ABOUT 100 yards, 180-200 on guided mode. Easily deflected, but designed to wear shields and defenses down. Block at your own risk. Can fire basically endless amounts of weaker missiles as long as he spaces it out, but should he use heavier ones, about 50 or so within 3 minutes before a 2 minute cool-down. He is VERY vulnerable to attack during usage of heavy missiles.

Next, he has the Shotgun blasts. VERY powerful at close range, but not likely to hit anything at medium range (Short equalling 10 or less, medium around 30-35 feet), somewhat draining, but easily recovered from. GREAT when used in melee. Difficult, but not impossible to block. Good for breaking defenses, but better for blowing enemies apart. Block at your own risk even more so. He gets about 20 or so before he has to rest for at least 10 minutes

Beam shot, the massively accurate, VERY powerful sniper attack. Range is 300 yards easy, 400 if concentrated on. VERY draining to him, He can only fire about 5 or so at first withing 3 minutes before being effectively rendered too exhausted to fight for another 10 minutes or so. You're better off dodging this one, as it's designed with the hopes that you'll TRY to block it-devastating to any stationary object, armor, shields, or otherwise. Very fast, but easily traced to his position, allowing somebody to follow its path to him. Dead straight, MUST be directly seen by him to work. DO NOT TRY TO BLOCK. Very dangerous for him to use, as it makes a physical straing on his body that, while not permanent, clearly hurts him.

EMP attack. Blows out shields, defenses, electronics, and vehicles for a short time, and has a powerful suppressive effect for about 10 minutes on all such abilities. NON-SELECTIVE, it's like blowing a nuke; hurts EVERYBODY. Range is 50 yards as a optimal range, 60 yards and beyond is not affected unless it's connected by say wires, in which case pulse blows out everything connected to affected electrical device. He is TOTALLY helpless afterwards, for at least 10 minutes unable to move. After 1 hour, he'll be up to normal speed, but no powers for 5 hours.

Other: Hates anything to do with Rock music. Weight-lifts a lot, runs a lot, and generally does anything physical. Loves to play with his dogs. Hates sauerkraut, and could become violent if jokes about it are applied to it. Eats ravenously but politely whenever possible. Can sleep through an artillerly barrage, but awakens at a pin-drop. The world's most wired man. Feels very lonely but never owns up to it, and wants to have a significant other who happens to care about him for who he is, and not his muscles, looks, and honor of medals. Is easily confused by any form of high math-it wasn't his strong point in High School.

Please! Take your time with this! It's massive, but I pride myself on well-crafted, VERY detailed profiles and subsequent Rping. Thanks guys!

Mmkay, we're running pretty well, but we kinda run into a snag with the way he comes upon his powers.

See, Adam-team teleported in very recently. Only after that were Sigil-powers becoming prevalent. Most of the people - no, all of them so far - got their powers from a Sigil detonation at a party they attended. While there are other ways to get those powers, they would involve exposure to this radiation, so unless at some point he lived nearby, that's probably not what happened. Sorry. XI I guess I need to make it more clear that you need to read the prologues.

Other than that... probably no grenades, that gets a little in the realm of too powerful. I'm also a little uncomfortable with some of the powers on reconsideration, but they're close - perhaps the more powerful ones, as well as requiring a huge amount of his stamina, also require some degree of charging? A passive sort of thing, but required nonetheless. What do you think?

Oh. Okay...the Sigil stuff comes from radiation....or the party detonation...I see...where did this event occur? I have NO problem changing so small a detail! biggrin

Powers...okay, no grenades then! Strike them from the record.

Charging sounds excellent. Which specific ones do you mean? The EMP and Beamshot attacks make perfect sense here. Any others?

I'm eager to please, you see. Just tell me exactly what you think is wrong with it, and I'll be glad to discuss it!

I dunno what the Gms would like to do with your powers but for the party-detonation/arrival of the thief, check here:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=15887295
You should give that a good read, as it is not only very exciting but also gives you a slight background of the Adam Team and the thief, Eves etc. etc.
Other than that, read some of the stickies. Ones that seem to have the most info seem to be "Welcome to the War (Intro)", 411, and the Sigils: Eve Abilities. Other then those topics, you might also want to check out the Project: GENome thread, for some background Host info.

One last thing I would also point out (in case anyone missed it)is that the Adam Team came from the future, and the Adam/Eve Vs Hosts/Thief/??? Conflict is largely unknown (thus the name "The Hidden War"). So the government would be either oblivious to the fact and/or at least PRETEND to be.

....Thanks Shinku! No...I've read those, but somehow missed the idea that the Eves were made only by the party. I was under the impression that the Eves were the gov't's answer to the Adam/Hosts...hmmm...

Okay...THIRD TIME doing this...Eves are fighting Hosts...Adam, gov't controlled, fight the Thief? SOMEBODY! PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS SO MY CHARACTER APPLIES TO THE RIGHT FORCE! I'm REALLY confused! Forgive my newbishness...
PostPosted: Fri Sep 25, 2009 5:16 pm

Ok I'll try summing it up

1. In the future a time-warping thing (forgot what it was called) was developed.
2. The Thief (no idea who/what he is) comes and steals it from the manufacturer, along with a couple of sigils (in material form , they look like floating pictographs)
3. Adam Team comes and try to apprehend the Thief
4. The Thief uses the device to move him and Adam team back in time
5. Present time; a party is taking place where MOST of the going-to-be Eves are attending
5. The Thief and Adam Team crash the party (literally). They cause all sorts of mayhem and eventually The Thief unleashes the sigil, which causes an explosion
6. The explosion gives all the regular people there powers similar to Adam Team; These people are called Eves.
7. The Eves team up with the Adam Team, in hopes of stopping the Thief from his grand plan.

Thats the story of the Eves and Adam Team.

THERE WE GO! Thank you, Shinku, you are AMAZING! I'd give you a high-five and twenty bucks for clearing that up for me. I see...so the Hosts are on the Thief's side, I see. Adam and Eves are all together. Very well, I understand now! That solves my major issue. Thanks again! Sorry, GMs, for cluttering the thread so! gonk
