While all quests in here are active in the sense that I'm actively saving/have saved gold to pay for all of them, this first post will feature the one that I am currently intending to enter into custom slots (though there might be others that I wind up getting first in the case of a specifically desired colorist opening slots, plotting oportunities, etc.).

Blessed of Flame

Based on an OC concept, where-in creatures favored by the Mother and Heart of Flame, N'avice'dzhara, are granted the coloration and mystical markings of the Ancient Phoenix.

Most of the references are other pets I've gotten with this coloration, though the last one is the original picture that all this started from. XD

Unlike some of the other pet themes I tend to "collect", the pets in this group all have different names.

Colors Desired
Eyes: Bright Purple
Horn: Charcoal gray with translucent rainbow sheen. (similar to a pearl or opal)
Faceplates: Rainbow (see refs)
Inner Ear: Yellow/Red/Orange Flame-ish

Main Body: Bright yellow with some orange/red tints that make the whole look reminiscent of flames. Legs from middle-down are plain charcoal gray, as is the majority of the muzzle.

Back Scales: Charcoal gray with translucent rainbow sheen. (similar to a pearl or opal)
Under-eye Scales: Rainbow (see refs)
Neck Plates: White with a soft gray touch, like white ash, with a fade pale yellow toward the very edges. (The edge of each individual plate, not just where the plates meet the main body.)
Belly Plates: Same as neck plates.
Leg Scales: Charcoal gray with translucent rainbow sheen. (similar to a pearl or opal)
Hooves: White.

Eyebrow: Rainbow
Cheekfur: Rainbow
Eartip Tufts: Red Flame-ish
Mane: Charcoal gray with rainbow streaks.
Tail: Charcoal gray to about 1/3 of the way down, then rainbow for another 1/3, then the charcoal with the rainbow sheen on the rest of tufty-poof.
Fetlocks: Charcoal gray fading into rainbow at the edges.


Pattern/s: Shoulder and hip markings like what is seen in the ref images, and the markings on the ear of the Chocogriff (Kheelee) if they'll fit. Would prefer some approximation of the markings on the wings to be on the Kirin's wings, also.

Edits: Open wings, matching the main body on the "arm" / first row of feathers, charcoal gray with the translucent colors on the second row, and the bright rainbow colors on the primary feather row.

Of Death, Reminicse

Slot won, waiting on completion. :3

This OC is basically a death god... or rather the beast form of said death god. Macabre is not good nor evil, nor malevolent, nor volatile, and only violent with due cause. He is beautiful... repulsive... fascinating... terrifying... inexorable. He is death and the ultimate representation of the appeal, and fearfulness, of the unknown.

As far as his place in Aerithe, he was wild born but when his be-winged mother saw his deformed wings and hoof she abandoned him, thinking it would be difficult to take care of him and that he likely had other less obvious defects. But he didn't, and he survived mostly on his own for a while. However he got caught by some humans who didn't want to destroy him because he was, after all, a Kirin. When he grew up otherwise healthy and didn't seem to have any more difficulty walking with his oddly shaped hoof than any other Kirin they decided to try and train him for battle, though he didn't take to his handlers well. One night the coastal town he was being held at got struck by a very severe storm and it opened a gap in his enclosure and he ran for it, and now he's wandering around more Kirin friendly lands trying to figure out how to be a proper Kirin again. o.0 But yeah... he's omnivorous out of practicality, but he prefers meat by far, and while he's not honestly a Kirkani I suppose he might fall into the category simply because he'll not pass up a free carrion dinner just because the corpse used to be a Kirin. His past may not lend any love toward other Kirindae to his attitudes, but the only Kirin he honestly wants to kill is his mother... as far as everyone else is concerned, he is relatively indifferent unless given a reason to be otherwise.

Main Body: White with a dark nebulous swirl pattern. (Details below.)

Back Scales: White, with gold edging (on the individual scales), on the areas that aren't covered by the nebula swirl.
Under-eye Scales: White with pale gold wash. (If visible.)

Belly Plates: Same.
Leg Scales: Same.
Hooves: Same.

Eyebrow: White.
Cheekfur: White.
Eartip Tufts: White.

Teeth (Stallion Only): Bone color-ish.

Pattern/s: The previously mentioned dark nebula swirl pattern. The area it covers can more or less be seen on the reference pictures I made for the kitsusagi version of this character that I plan to get at some point, show below. A color reference for it is also below. I suppose parts of it would be bio-luminescent in keeping with the nebula theme. Anywhere the Nebula pattern covers is literally supposed to be covered; leg plates, belly plates, whatever. It begins right behind/under his mane and would end just before the tail, probably the last of it reaching the couple of scales from his back that extend over the tail base but not actually coloring the hair there.

Edits: Well, as seen in the references, he would have a skull mask of sorts, essentially that of a very large cat, which is bone colored. (Tiger skull image now included with references to help with the design.)
The spiked collar and bracelets would still be spiked, though some broken chain bits attached to a half-ring sticking off the back of the cuffs (not on the collar). Chains that look reasonable to hold down a large stallion, but not anything overly large either.
I'd like the wrap on his tail along the upward arching part, wrapped 3-4 times in consecutive rings at the beginning (just under the scales at the base of the tail) and at the end (just before the poof at the end curls out to hang down). As with the chains, I don't want it really thing or really thick; use your best judgment.
I want the clawed beads in his mane-braid, and the little hoop earrings in his ears (or the visible one, rather). Those are all gold.
PAWS. PAWS ARE AWESOME. The mutant foot now has an example! It's a lot heavier and club-like, with one of the claws shaped more for weight-bearing than scratching.
I think the shoulder arms could be feasible when seen as a pair of deformed dragon-wing arms. They can start off on the base of the larger folded wings, if you'd rather do it that way, but there would be little of the wing webbing left, and I'd like the end to have the same sort of enlarged look with stubby sort of "finger" bits... perhaps not something he could really grasp with like in the refs, but that might be usable to hook around small bits of branches to pull leaves down or pull fruit off a tree. (Also in ref image with the foot now! Yay!)
I would like a pair of kudu horns rather than the regular one; a little bit shorter that the ones shown in the pictures, though.
Other details: I hope between the kitsusagi references and the newer, more Kirin friendly references the poor colorist who gets pegged with this can figure it out. Doesn't have to be perfect. He'd only have one tail, by the way; kitsusagi come with three tails, that's why he has that many in the picture.
I was wondering if there would be any real issue with him having not quite a foot of height at the shoulder over the average stallion? He's going to be pretty anti-social for the most part and wouldn't really be taking part in any rutting competitions, after all... XD;

Shadow of Fears

This one is part cosplay and part OC... he's a fan OC from Kingdom Hearts, one of the giant Darkside Heartless, but he's intelligent and when he feels like it, deceptive. Usually he speaks in a sort of telepathic way and melts into the shadows as a part of them... as that isn't particularly suitable for a Kirin, he's just going to be the quiet type and very good at stalking in the night and in deep shadows, probably sticking to thick forests for his hunting. He's the only Kirin I intend to get at this point that will be an honest Kirkani (though if he produces offspring they'll probably pick up on it). He'll eat whatever meat he finds, but he actually enjoys preying on other Kirin... unless they catch his attention as either a good potential mate or a good source of amusement. He usually hunts other Kirin by tricks and deception rather than the more common methods he employs to track down less intelligent prey.

Edits: Darkside wings, mane and tail styled similarly to the examples, and the Hollow Heart necklace. And, right, the glowing eyes.
Other details: As this Darkside is not going to have a familiar just yet, the Hollow Heart will be empty. When/if he gets one it will serve as a climbing toy and/or perch of sorts for it. Not that it will matter to the artwork. XD And no... I don't expect the large area in the middle of his body to have the large empty heart shape area. That just wouldn't look right on a Kirin.
