I just spent hours of my life in the Eterna forest turning Eevee into Leafeon. (you can do it without a stone in platinum. pm me and I'll tell you how to get eevee)

But I do need a stone to turn my @#$@#$ Budew into a Rosealia and then a roserade...

I was just wonderin what you guys liked better. (I think I'm gonna kick Budew to the curb.)

Roserade has to be my least favourite grass-type evolution.
They have some good moves, but they're just too easily killed :/

It FINALLLY evolved into Rosealia.

biggrin Guess what?

I evolved it while making it fight a Rosealia 4 levels below it. (my budew-24, the wild rosealia-20).

I think I'm still gonna kick Rosealia to the curb.... After I stop being lazy and I get my luxor back, and lvl it up, I'm going to teach it 'cut' so I don't need Rosealia anymore.

Well, here's something to keep in mind. Leafeon is more physically inclined while Roserade is more of a special attacker.

Roserade is a tier higher, and has, at least, in my opinion, a slightly more versatile move pool, however, Leafeon is faster, and taking into account base stats, I think with the right moveset, Leafeon can outdamage Roserade.

Defensively, same thing. Roserade does not want to take physical hits, while special attacks make Leafeon very, very sad.

Actually Garrin, I disagree. I have a Leafeon in Platinum, and I find it to be perfectly, amazingly capable in both special and normal attacks.

And...mine evolved in seconds. ;___;

I just leveled it up outside of the forest so it would grow faster, and then when it got to level before the one required, I flew on over to Eterna Forest and BAM! Leafeon.

She (Or he, can't remember right now.) had/has the highest stats of the Pokemon on my team, which was really impressive, since it was about 2 or 3 levels below a few of my others.

Leafeon is DEFINITELY better than Roserade. Believe me. <3

I usually evolve mine at level 7. It kicks butt at Roark's gym

I think I like Roserade more (for an entirely stupid reason).

Roserade totally looks just like my 9th grade science teacher, who was basically the best teacher ever. And she was a botany geek, so it's even more fitting.

Leafeon is pretty, though.

(Basically, I'm useless when it come to the usefulness of Pokémon. My team consists of ones that can get me through the entire game without having to go to a PC, not ones that would be good in competitive battling.)

Base stats on Leafeon: Hp: 65 Attack: 110 Def: 130 Sp. Atk: 60 Sp. Def: 65 Speed: 95

Base stats on Roserade: Hp: 60 Attack: 70 Defense: 55 Sp. Atk: 125 Sp. Def: 105 Speed: 90

Base 60 is... not that great, as far as an attack stat goes. Sure, it's enough to handle stuff it wouldn't have much trouble handling anyway, but when you need it to take a chunk out of something that can take a few hits, a base 60 just isn't going to cut it. Don't get me wrong. A Leaf Blade from a Leafeon will make a lot of guys cringe, save those that have a 4x resistance to it, but it's not giong to deliver, say, an Energy Ball as well as Roserade (Or most other Grass types for that matter) by any stretch of imagination.

So this could mean you got REALLY good IVs on your Eevee. Also, what are your other Pokemon, because, keep in mind, base 100 and over would be considered above average.

You're perfectly entitled to your opinion and preference, but I woudln't go so far as to say that Leafeon is that much better. But then again, that's just me.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like Leafeon was sooooooo much better. >.< I know that they both have their pros and cons.

They both have the same major weakness, which is fire. But I'd say that Leafeon would survive longer in a fight against a fire Pokemon that a Roserade. My Leafeon has survived a fire blast before. I think the enemy Pokemon was about the same level, too. But I've used my Ponyta against a Roserade of the same level and it's a one hit K.O. Its high special attack and special defense aren't too useful when it's knocked out. <.<

I just think that, in the long run, Leafeon is the more useful and resilient one. It seems to have more strengths than weaknesses.
