So my family and I were flying back from my (most likely) older sister's wedding. She lent be 2 books and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which I have watched 3 times.
On the plan, seated behind my parents, was a woman, a business-type, reading a Twilight book!
Poor thing.
When the plans starts lifting of the air, she is reading. She is about 20-30+ pages or so in. I also noticed it wasn't the first book, meaning she was suffering more than I imagined.
She closes the book and doesn't read the book until the last five minutes of the flight. She had this neutral, sad or unfathomable expression on her face.
I was tempted to say "Oh, you poor thing. I feel your pain." or "You look smart, why hang out with Stephanie?" but she was busy talking to the little blond boy behind me.
So yeah, discuss.

I hate planes. Wish I could take some heavy sleeping pills, but those freak me out. Kind of.
You should've passed her a book and said " Here. This'll make you feel a bit better. " Or something.

I'd give her a cookie, a pat on the back, and write her a list of book recommendations. Usually when I come across a twilight fan/reader I question their reasoning, taste and then ask them what is appealing about the series. And of course, I counter whatever reasons they have for reading it with common sense.
Perhaps the poor woman had to read it? You know, for an article or market research or something?

Awww... I would've handed her some Mind Soap and maybe an Anne Rice book. And maybe a bad of Circus Peanuts, man do I love those things! Eh... Sorry, that was a little random. sweatdrop

I've been through that experience before.
I was flying from LA to Boston and a woman sat next to me (I was already reading Dracula on the plane) and she whipped out her Twilight book and read it the whole flight.
Probably better you didn't say anything, you could have risked upsetting an actual fan and causing a scene, she may have just been upset with the section of the book. But I have that same expression on my face when I read anything.

The Unholy Shadow It seems as if this book has no limits in who it can taint. Agreed. However, there some fans who are not extremist, hence we must spare the moderates.

Not in my opinion, anyway.
