This night time club and day time cafe has been preserved for over 200 years.
Very little has changed, from the items on the menu, to the pounding music, to the people themselves.

Dana sat a table and looked around. "That boy has to show up, or I'm leaving." She said to herself as she sipped her soda.

It wasn't long after Dana spoke that a man joined her. He was devilishly handsome, white-haired and green-eyed, serene and broad-shouldered.
Gage.
"Hello, Aunt." He said simply. Laying a cloth bag against the table, he pushed it towards Dana and said, "I want my mother back." Dana would do it, wouldn't she? Afterall, Mimicry was her sister. That had to count for something.

"Now Gage, you know I can't bring a human back to life without some kind of sacrifice. Everyone agreed that I wouldn't bring people back because of it. You know my father allowed it, because I was different then him because of my mother's DNA." Dana thought about it a minute then sighed. "If you find me something big, then I can try to bring her back."

"Something big? Like what?" Of course Dana would be difficult. Then suddenly, a thought came to him. Something big and very valuable. Leaning over the table, he said, "What if I knew something you didn't."
"What if I knew who killed Avarice."

Offering his hand, Gage said, "Give me your word, Dana. If I tell you, promise me you'll resurrect mother. Even Avarice, I don't care. Please."

Staring into Dana's eyes, he said, "Bones." He didn't have to go into further detail, really. Bones had been Avarice's apprentice. Avarice practically tortured the poor boy, removing a large portion of his back for the pursuit of curiosity.

"Bones is human, he should be dead!" Dana stood up in rage and almost threw something. "Bones should be dead, human he was, I could smell it on him!!!"

"He was," Gage said, "But Avarice changed him. You think being ripped apart repeatedly by Avarice wouldn't change him? You know grandpa didn't use his scalpels unless absolutely necessary." Avarice always enjoyed such pleasures, the feeling of flesh ripping beneath his claws. "Besides," Gage added, "You think Bones didn't want to get back at you both?"

"You promised on the basis of information," Gage said. "I told you who killed Avarice. Bring. My. Mother. Back." He wasn't sure where Bones was anyways. Last he heard, he'd left town with Reks. Seems like everybody had been leaving town.

Shay sat at the bar counter, still wearing her lab coat as she sipped the drink in front of her. two of her fellow doctors had been here with her.. but Jack had to take lanni home. the woman had lost a patient today.. and had gone into a drinking binge. sighing tiredly she set down the glass, pulling money from her lab coat and droping it on the bar. Jack said he would come back, but she couldnt wait for him.. when she felt like this, she needed to move. standing she thanked the bartender, heading for the door.
Just as she tried to exit, Jack was sliding his arm over her shoulders and leading her back to the bar. " come on chick'dee, nothing good out there at the moment." he helped her take a seat, then sat in the one next to her and ordered a drink. after a moment he glanced to the side, his blue eyes grim. " Lanni will be fine. i told you not to try to walk home alone, not tonight atleast.." Shay nodded quietly, accepting the drink handed to her. she learned a long time ago to listen to Jack's advice.
