So I'm going to roll a new Ally toon on a new server (Stormreaver), and I need to make a heal class. My problem is I don't know whether to chose a Priest, Pally, or Shammy? I love all three, and I play all three well, somebody help me decide! sweatdrop
The only thing I do know, if I go Priest I'm going for a human for the high spirit, Pally will be a dwarf for amazing dual spex, and Shamz well, will obviously be a Draenei. mrgreen
Feedback welcome!
Maybe we could argue about which class gives the best heals too! blaugh

I love shaman, but when it come to healing preists and pladadins rule... I bet a paly 5 levels higher than me on a preist....so, you get the idea.

I've got 4 priests, and 2 of them can heal, 1 of them in raids. So, I voted for priests XD
It all depends on HOW you want to heal anyway, and how fast you're willing to die *s*
My boyfriend has a paladin he once healed raids with, and although his Flash Heal was fast and very good, his healing over time was horrible. So I guess fast and massive healing would be for palas, while healing over time, and the protection of group/raid members would be mostly for priests.
They both have very nice buffs, so there's nothing to argue about there, not one is better than the other. It all just depends on what is needed...
IMHO, spend all points and glyphs related to Inner Fire you can grab, it's very useful, and makes you live longer overall.

I'd go with priest. They're really good healers and have strong defensive spells.

Acrella Maybe we could argue about which class gives the best heals too! blaugh I read that completely wrong. Clearly I need to get some sleep.
I'd vote for shaman or paladin myself.

I knew the time would come when I'd be asked if I'd do Druid.. and the truth is.. I just can't. I've got two Druids and I get so bored leveling them that I can't stick to it very long. One day I'll push myself through it, but.. not this time. crying

Paladin..
Tried levelling a priest... I just couldn't. Hated it. Never levelled a shammy but I know a few good ones and they're damn good at healing.
But the paladin... got a def soft spot for the pally healer.

I know how you feel about Druids. Took me foorreevverrr to level mine to 20. It just takes a lot of patience (which a lot of people don't have when it comes to leveling xp ). My Druid has healed for raids like Kara, Gruul's, the Eye, and they're really good healers. Plus, they don't die so easily. But if you want a group healer, go with the priest. If you want a single target healer (and an easier character to level up) go with palandin or shaman.

If you can't stand leveling druids, you'll love paladins. I got so much accomplished while leveling my paladin. Finished up my second semester of school during the course of time it took to level my paladin basically, boring chem and paper intensive classes, tons of books to read.. during class and the homework I leveled a paladin.
If you didn't get the point of me saying that..
PALADINS ARE SO ******** BORING TO LEVEL. EVEN WHEN YOU'RE LEVEL 61 AND HAVE ALL OF THE DAMAGE ABILITIES. IT DOESN'T MATTER. YOU'LL WANT TO GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT. THERE IS NO THOUGHT INVOLVED WITH LEVELING A PALADIN. gonk
Priests are worse now, don't know about shamans but they suck until 30.
Maybe I just hate leveling~

Leveling sucks no matter what class you're playing.
End game though, it depends on what you want to do with it. Do you want to PVP or PVE? Do you want to raid heal or MT/single target heal? In my opinion priests are probably the most dynamic with 2 totally different healing trees.

If you want to do more raid healing, where you don't have to concentrate on the tank too much, I'd say go Shaman. Its fun to watch as your Chain Heals hit people in fun little patterns across the room. When you work with another raid healing shaman its really fun to watch what kinds of patterns you make healing people in the raids with him/her. But thats just me. Especially the nice little upgrades their giving Shamans in this next patch.
Priest are great healers, none the less - I'm leveling one atm as a dps/tank healer. Paladins are uber healers when it comes to over healing and keeping the tank at full health. My boyfriend plays a paladin and he never really ooms and he loves when he crits 23-26k heals in 25man raids.
With all three classes that you mentioned, you can't really go wrong with any of them. As long as you do your research on that particular class and how to heal with them, it'll be easy :3
