"We know things are bad, but recently they've been getting worse. I don't know about you, but so long as I have to put up with all of this, I'd like to do it as comfortably as possible. I don't quite know what's going on around here, I don't know who's involved at any rate, but we have to do something. Somewhere out there though, whoever they might be, people are striving to make our lives worse, and we have to fight back against them.
What I ask of you, anyone who will listen to me, is for you to go the extra mile. It's hard, I know it's hard, but if we don't stick together and try to make life livable for everyone here... Well I don't know what's going to happen. Let's face it, if bad conditions were going to change things, things would have changed back when they started forcing candidates to share alcoves, and riders to share weyrs.
I know you all have chores and duties to see to already, but if you have an extra moment I ask that you spend it helping someone else. Building is harder than destroying, and helping is harder than hindering. I know there's probably a more dramatic way to put that, but I've never been much good at drama. More simply, just do the best at whatever it is you do. I know we've not got much to work with in the kitchens, but do whatever you can to avoid waste. There seem to be a lot of burned bread and so on lately, I'd like to think that's just due to listlessness born of our situation but... well, keep an eye on the food if you're working in the kitchens. Come to that, wherever you're working, keep an eye on things. If you see anything off going on, tell me and I'll see it's investigated and sorted out one way or another.
So there it is. I want to make this place as comfortable as possible, but to make a difference I need help from as many people as possible. Spread the word, the more people know about this the better. Even if you don't think you can do much, one small gesture of kindness could be enough to improve another person's day. We can only hope that basic goodness has survived in these hard times, and that our message of cooperation spreads outwards.
We need change, but we must go about seeking it in the right manner. I ask any of you in positions to speak with our leaders to do so. I have no doubt they know of our concerns, but highlighting them can't be a bad idea. If I can, I plan to speak with them myself, and ask them what their plans for the future are. If we know where we're heading, the road ahead will seem a lot easier, and it will be easier to know what we need to do to reach a better future.
That's all I have to say to you right now, but if you have anything you want to ask me, or if there is anything I can do for you please don't hesitate to ask me. United we stand friends, and united we can make a difference."((Please feel free to post here with any characters you'd like to join up! I'm happy to just assume they've joined, or to RP it out with you, either way! Also, any activist members who want to try to pull in more people through convincing RP feel free! ^w^ Basically what the IDL is all about is working your hardest, and helping others where you can. They also want to halt the sabotage that has been going on of late. Their ultimate hope is that the Weyr's leaders will notice that this group has formed and decide that they really do need to do something about the crowding issues, and the sabotage issues.)) Mm... A'ras and Cavaruth , would be Neutral right now. He will wait to see what the group does - He'd need a reason to step closer to Sympathizer. Veyes would sympathize with this group. You could possibly convince him to become an Activist in RP.

Rinfala and Arioth are sympathizers--Rinfala's speaking out serves the purpose of both ILA and IDL. Zara and Fuxith are also sympathizers.

Kallista and Astarteth will be supporters, Jessan is neutral, and Zhaylan is indifferent. If you need a hold contact, you may use Jamusyn. I will add the links later.

I suppose E'rik's managed to get himself into a position where he's agreed to do a few good turns for others. May as well add him to the list, though he would probably die laughing if he saw anyone had signed him up for one of these things. cool
