Pokemon Gaming Guild Rules
1. You must play or be a fan of the Pokemon franchise.
Normally this shouldn't be an issue as I don't even know why you would want to join a Pokemon Guild if you have no interest in anything Pokemon related (be it the video games, trading card game, television show or anything else related to the franchise) but just as a means to cover up any possible loopholes, you must be a fan.
Quote:
Constant anti-Pokemon slander will be viewed as spam and will be subject to our "three strikes and you're out" rule. More or less, this form of banning will result from a maximum of two (2) warnings and if you persist beyond that, you will be booted from the guild for being a repeat offender.
2. Follow the Gaia Online's Terms of Service (ToS)
This should also go without saying as well; If you break any rules outlined on the Gaia Interactive / Gaia Online Terms of Service.
Quote:
Any violations against Gaia Online's TOS will be strict grounds for your instant banning from Pokemon Gaming and possibly even being reported to a Site Moderator.
3. No advertising of anything outside of the Pokemon Gaming Guild.
I figured this would go without saying, but as we've managed to become a gathering place of quite a few members in our time of existence, I know the temptations of advertising for your other guilds/groups grows with us; just remember, advertising in your signatures is fine and fully acceptable. However any blatant threads/posts advertising/promoting/recruiting for anything else outside of the Pokemon Gaming Guild is NOT allowed without prior permission from one of this guild's four captains. We reserve the right to delete any such threads/post without prior notice.

Constantly advertising of other guilds/threads/sites or for anything else not approved by any of the four captains of Pokemon Gaming will be viewed as spam and will be subject to our "three strikes and you're out" rule. More or less, this form of banning will result from a maximum of two (2) warnings and if you persist beyond that, you will be booted from the guild for being a repeat offender.
4. No flaming or any other verbal abuse of any kind.
If you just must "flame," be smart about it and don't do it excessively. However, we do not tolerate any type of discriminatory slurs, and the excessive use of such derogatory language will result in the revoking of your membership to the guild.

Constant flaming or use of derogatory language will be viewed as griefing/trolling and will be subject to our "three strikes and you're out" rule. More or less, this form of banning will result from a maximum of two (2) warnings and if you persist beyond that, you will be booted from the guild for being a repeat offender.
5. Do not spam our forums.
This especially goes for announcements and stickies. Your post/spam will just get deleted, and it's really a pain having to clean all that up. Just to be clear, DON'T BUMP IN OUR MAIN GUILD FORUM! It's really pointless, but if you just must post such nonsense, keep it in the Chatterbox subforum. Also to note, although not going to be strictly enforced unless it becomes excessive, please make sure you post your threads in theor appropriate subforums, else they will be viewed as spamming for trades/battles/whatever.

If you have something to say, feel free to say it but one word posts that do not have anything relative to add to any given conversation will be viewed as spam and will be subject to our "three strikes and you're out" rule. More or less, this form of banning will result from a maximum of two (2) warnings and if you persist beyond that, you will be booted from the guild for being a repeat offender.
6. If at all possible, keep the profanity level down.
Sure, we all hack, spit, and curse, but there are young ones roaming around. So, do your best to keep your posts clean. We understand if you slip every once and awhile, but some members may find certain words offensive.
Quote:
Offenses made against this rule will be viewed on a case by case basis and most offenses will not be counted against you. However, if we ask you to stop the use of such offensive language and you defiantly persist, we reserve the right to view such actions as insubordination and will be subject to our "three strikes and you're out" rule. More or less, this form of banning will result from a maximum of two (2) warnings and if you persist beyond that, you will be booted from the guild for being a repeat offender.
7. Keep all posts and threads PG-13.
I believe this has already been covered by the whole "Follow Gaia Online's TOS" rule, but figured it deserved a second mention. We do have young ones roaming around afterall.

8. Don't be an idiot.
We all joke around, but please know your limits and take into consideration and respect the fact that everyone has their own limits as well. A joke can quickly turn into a feud, and I'm sure neither the crew or any of the members want to be putting out fires by the end of the day.

If we feel something has gone too far or far too long and ask you to stop and you defiantly persist, such actions will be viewed as griefing/trolling/insubordination and will be subject to our "three strikes and you're out" rule. More or less, this form of banning will result from a maximum of two (2) warnings and if you persist beyond that, you will be booted from the guild for being a repeat offender.
9. Use good grammar.
Now, this will not be strictly enforced, but we do wish to promote good grammar and spelling. Please do not use 1337 or any other form of "haxx0rrs" language; it really is a pain to read and it ultimately will count as spam. So please, keep it clear and understandable to the best of your ability. We post to talk and be heard and being able to understand what each other is saying is key in such a format.
