I'm a fan of Atlus games. I recently got Knights in the Nightmare, I like that one a lot.

Only get Trauma Center DS if you have something else to play. It's extremely frustrating. >< I actually hate it, TBH.
Anyway, it depends what you're into and what you don't have. I think everyone should have Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros., Tetris DS, Pokemon D/P or Platinum, TWEWY, Elite Beat Agents, Clubhouse Games and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney or Hotel Dusk (whichever attracts you more).
Also, you might want to consider getting Chrono Trigger DS. It's a really good game, although you could have had it on the SNES.
