With Dark and Stalker - Arseus and Celestial AngelPadding through the darkness of the forest, the thick canopy blocked Angel's view of the stars. With a heavy sigh, she replayed what Zack said in her head over and over - 'Sorry. you just get a little shaken up when the pup of the wolf you loved's pup is missing.. A scowl touched her features. Is this what Heartbreak was?

Arseus sighed with relief. His work was done, and he could finally come back to other wolves. Being a god is so inconvenient sometimes. He grinned, hoping to pester Hades until he cried, which he knew would be a huge task, but he was so up to it! Feel my godly wrath, punk! He grinned as he vanished with a Pop. Arseus reappeared in a thick forest with a heavy canopy, where the night sky was shrouded with leaves. He began to run towards the territory of his frienemy. But he stopped as he thought he heard someone else walking.

Angel sighed, too caught up in her thoughts to hear, or care, about anything. She began to talk to her mother, the Goddess Selene, hoping to get some answers from Earth, while Selene was the moon. "Why do we let them suffer? If I'm so darn angelic, why can't I help him? Because, Angel. You can't even help yourself." Though almost no one ever came to this part of the forest, she kept her light and gentle voice quiet. She didn't want to give up on Zack - she couldn't. She had to help him get rid of the memories for him, but...."Ugh!" She shrieked, scaring away some birds. Snapping a twig in her mouth to calm down, she continued on her search for an answer - thinking nothing of herself as always.

Arseus heard a shriek, and perked up. He ran towards it, panting. Had something terrible happened? He heard a loud snap, and quickened his pace. He ran, until he saw Angel. He stopped, and looked at her. She had a broken stick. Did she shriek like that? He tipped his head and walked closer to her. "Was it you that made that scream?" He asked. "Are you alright?"

Angel continued to walk, until she felt another strong presence upon her. Stopping in her tracks, she swiveled her head around to the side with the twig still hanging from the side of her mouth. "Oh...I'm sorry, did it bother you?" She hoped that it didn't sound sarcastic, "I didn't think anyone came to this part of the forest..." Then, his next question downcast her eyes for a moment as she contemplated what to say. He was her superior as a god, so she said, "As okay as I can be, I suppose."

Arseus shook his head. "No, I just heard a shriek and thought it might be someone in trouble. I just came here because... well, the winds are fickle." He smiled, but he frowned as she said it was "As okay as I can be, I suppose." That doesn't sound very reassuring... "Are you sure? You look a little... Sad. I'll listen, if you want to talk..."

"I see." Then, he encouraged her to talk to him, "Oh, no" she shook her head modestly - being selfless again, "It's okay; I don't want to bother you with that." In truth, she was dying to talk to someone. But she was more embarrassed to have him see a frustrated side of her, "I'm just...frustrated is all." She mumbled, turning to leave and continue on her way.

"No, really. It won't bother me, I promise." His eyes twinkled with truth as he walked beside her. "I'm a God, I'm sure I can help you. I want to hear you. We all get frustrated. Venting helps. Along with food." He smiled.

It surprised her when Arseus came to her side, eyes twinkling. She would have smiled under other circumstances, but the soft scowl remained on her lips for the moment - she did feel herself perk when he said he wanted to help her. "Okay..." She tried to smile, but it quickly faded into the gentle frown again, "It's just that I can't help someone close to me. No matter what I do. And now I feel betrayed." Feeling herself get flustered again, she shook out her fur, "He's too stuck on someone he can never have and won't realize it's time to move on and......." She stopped suddenly, coming to a realization. She also had just described herself. She could never have Zack because he could never move on. It was harder, clearly, than it looked to get over someone.

Arseus didn't know who she was talking about. I need to meet all the knew wolves... He realized. He pushed the thought away. "Well, you need to show him - Assuming it's a "he" - that there is someone he can love, that who he lost would want him to move on, and be happy. No one should have to live alone, everyone can love again, and everything happens for a reason." He realized that in all his years as a God... He still hadn't found his love. the thought brought a small frown to his face. He blinked, hoping he wouldn't tear up. It was harder than it looked to find that one that was right for you.

"I've tried. And some of those reasons are because Hades can't keep his demons in hell where they belong!" She was referring harshly to Ashy's father, as she stomped her paw as she brought it down along the path. He was worse than a demon. A harsh huff flew from her nostrils, as embarrassment washed over her again. She'd gotten upset again - which was so unlike her. "I've tried" She repeated, "But was pushed harshly away and betrayed." After a moment of silence, "Arseus? Have you found someone you can love?"

Arseus tipped his head in a slight moment of confusion. "What does Hades have to do with this?" He quickly said "Not everyone is the same, and not everyone will betray you, Angel."To change the subject. Then she asked the awkward question. "Well...Er... Not yet. I want to make sure she's the one I want for the rest of my time, which is... a lot, so immortal is good, and those are hard enough to come by as it is..." He laughed nervously and made excuses.

Angel's eyes were hard when she forced herself not to growl. Though grit teeth, "Er...nothing. Directly." To his next response, she hesitated, "I know, but...it...hurt, is all." She sighed, "So now I'm flustered, and just going to be done with him. Being an Angel is harder than Mother said it'd be. Heh...too bad I've got a lot more time ahead of me." She wondered how eternity would feel on her if things like this kept up. "Yeah, I know." She smiled at him, "It can be hard to find someone..."

"Alright..." Arseus said to the Hades comment. She's really got it out for him... "All wounds heal over time. Being careful not to re-open them is the hard part. And doing that can mean getting away." Arseus looked deeply at her. "Just take a break, poof, give yourself a vacation. Alone time can mend. I would know." He smiled back at her. "It can. But in the end, isn't it all worth it?"

"Heh...well, I've got a lot of time ahead of me to let this one heal." At least, she hoped. But talking to him made her feel better. Like he said. She was starting to trust him a little more. "I wish I could do that.." She trailed off - still drawn in by his deep penetrating gaze. "But I have to watch over everything and everyone. Such is the life of an Angel" She slumped, feigning it to look like a stretch, before she continued to walk beside him. "I wouldn't know. I haven't reached an 'end' yet..."
