This is starting now, so if you were too late to write something for the short story duel, this is something else you might enjoy.

Basically, it's a way to get some of us to actually work on a novel instead of shelfing things. Each participant will submit a chapter of their story a week.

If they miss the deadline the rest of the guild can think of something embarrassing for them to do as punishment.

Yes, if I miss my deadline you can make guild leader do something stupid (as if I don't already lol)

Also if you'd rather just read and comment on the stories without writing anything yourself, I know we would love that.

Please follow the guidelines in terms of posting critique.

I am most tempted to take part in this 'novel off' - this could be the boot in the arse I need to get my writing going again and develop some of my ideas.

Just wondering (and, please, forgive me if this has been raised elsewhere that I have missed) - how long is this 'novel off' running for? Or do you just keep going till your story has run its course? Also, are we aiming for any particular minimum/maximum lenght for chapters or just however much you need to convey what you want?

Exactly. It's supposed to run as long as you need it to. I was planning a personal goal of September 13th - because that date has been stuck in my head for two months - but you can take all year if you want ^_^ It's totally up to you.

And people are more than welcome to join whenever they're ready. You don't need to start on the official date, just jump on in when you feel up to it. heart

I might start next week with drawing my manga bits.
Though I warn you, they'll be sketches. I just tried only blob&sketching a single page, took 4 hours, and still didn't finish. emo There wasn't even more than 2 panels in it.
