Saiyoko looked at all of her pups scampering around - the twins playing as usual, and Brutus and Lena by themselves. She looked around for Markus with a soft and gentle smile. She had a family now, and everything was definitely okay. A wonderful mate and beautiful pups - all of them.
Kaito pranced around, chasing a moth, and waiting for his sister to join in. It kept getting away from him whenever he raised his paw to hit it. Getting quite frustrated he began to bark at it, "Come down here!" uncaring of the noise he was making while doing so.
Lena jumped when Kaito started barking at the bug, but continued her rest under the tree, a little discouraged that no one would approach her, and wary of Brutus' gaze were he to look at her.

Markus smiled at the whole family. "We definitely have the ultimate family don't we?"
Yui giggled a bit. "Let me try." She jumped up into the air and caught it before landing on the ground. "U mph wf?" (translation: You want it?)
Brutus stretched out a bit bored by his family. He couldn't understand his family at all. He was trying to be a good example of an obedient boy, but it was like it wasn't working.

Nuzzling her mate, Saiyoko said gently, "I couldn't ask for anything less." Then, she took her eyes to Brutus stretched beside them and licked the top of his head. She hoped he'd always be there beside them. It seemed her other children were already wandering astray.
"Awwh, no fair you're a girl!" He complained and put on a fake pouty face. Then, he grinned at her, "If you don't! Or...I could race ya for it!!" Yipping happily with his tail swinging in the air, he jumped around her - always just in sight.
Peeking her eyes open, the first thing Lena spotted was her father's white paws and she smiled very softly; it was almost nonexistent.

Markus nodded his head in agreement. "And me too. It's nice to actually have a family. I just hope it stays like this for a while and doesn't disappear." He seemed a bit gloomy, but he didn't want a repeat of the past happening. If anything at least Brutus seemed like he would be able to fight if the family got threatened by violent wolves.

Yui spit the moth out. "Well here's your chance." She then darted after Kaito hopping to have a shot at catching the moth again, but she didn't want to be too much of a showoff so she didn't go as hard as she could of.

Brutus looked up at his mother. "Say mom, what was your family like?" He had heard his dad's side of the story and how it had all been taken away from him when he was just a pup, but he had never really heard anything about his mom.

"It is," Saiyoko agreed, then added in a sad undertone, "Especially with what happened with Nava and Umi's pack... shaking her head, she smiled once again at all of her children. "But, I don't plan on going anywhere." She smiled at Brutus sadly, the pain clear in her eyes. "I was part of a pack that got..disbanded. But...you won't let that happen to us, will you Brutus?"

Kaito flailed his limbs across the ground, having the time of his life with his twin. "Wait...where are we racing to?" he slowed a bit, looking back at her, surprised to see her so close behind.

Lena, while timidly, looked much more confident. While she did feel like a fish out of water, she realized it might be a good thing. Turning to her father, keeping what Asher said in mind, she asked, "Hey, daddy? Is anyone else from your side of the family, like me?" she glanced at her fur color. She had an apology to give to Brutus, but he was busy with their mother for the moment. While she still seemed a little upset about being different, itwas as if a war was waging within herself at the thought. She wanted to fit in, but didn't this give her a chance to do something more? Unlike Kaito, maybe she should get all the attention because of it. But that didn't matter. What mattered was that maybe, she wasn't alone. Just like Brutus had said. She glanced fearfully at him again, waiting for her chance to reconcile with her brother, wondering what he would say to her this time, scared of it, but....It had to be done.

(Are we RPing like they're still pups/childrens, or adults here? For Lena, I'm making her an adult, because otherwise her conversation wouldn't have happened.)

(That's fine by me truthfully)

Brutus watched Saiyoko's expression. He felt bad for her, but wanted her to be happy since he knew how to get some of her past family together. "I will. I'll make sure it doesn't happen." He crossed his paws almost like he was trying to swear on it. "I swear on that for sure. After all what good would I be anyways?"

Yui skidded to a sudden stop smacking into Katio by accident. "Oof!" She shook her head a sec trying to clear it up. "Well...I honestly don't know I was just chasing you for fun to see where you would end up truthfully." She chuckled a bit nervous to look so stupid in front of her twin.

Markus looked over at Lena and listened to her. He didn't want to make her upset so he spook with a calm tone. "Well my dad was a green wolf. He did have the pattern on my fur, but only the markings were white. As for my mother she was white except for the tip of her tail and her front paws which were a yellowish green color." For a moment he did feel a bit sad, but nonetheless he smiled cheerfully at Lena. "They were both really admirable moonlits and very strong till the end."

Siayoko smiled brightly at the nobility of her son, and glanced at her mate; they were so alike, those two, and she couldn't be more proud of them. "I know you will, my son. You will keep all our dreams alive" Caught off guard however by his question, she stood up and walked over to him, looking seriously in his eyes. "My dear Brutus. You are full of good, full of worth, whatever you choose to do. You are worth something to me, to this family. Just by being a part of it. And I love you, very much." It was clear in her eyes that she knew everything would be okay, everything was okay, and although it was an illusion and a dream that her family was perfect and would stay that way, it was one she chose to believe, will all her heart, "I believe in you."

"Whaaa!" Although he struggled for balance, Kaito still slammed to the ground, and laughed, bouncing back up to his paws. In hearing her response, he gave a good-natured laugh, "See sister? I've already got the girls chasing me!" he ran in a circle around her for a moment, playfully bumping into her, "Let's race to the river then!"

Hearing a bit of what Brutus had said at the end, she wanted to reconcile with him even more. Was it because of her he felt like he was worth nothing? Still, her mother was handling it for the moment, so she chose to listen to her father, quite intently. She did notice, however, how sad he seemed at being asked, "They've gotta be to have raised such a good papa." she smiled brightly, feeling empowered that her grandmother had similar markings, and not so alone and outcasted in her family. "Thanks Daddy." she smiled, and for the first time, felt like she belonged, feeling like a daddy's girl, she rushed over to nuzzle him.

Brutus kind of knew he was being a bit idealistic, but still he wanted to try to do the best he could. "Thanks. I will try my best." He looked over towards his dad and Lena then towards his two twins taking it all in. "I just hope we're right on that."

Yui yelped a bit in surprise of the sudden turn of events. "Ok then...this should prove rather interesting." She crouched down then darted off hoping her brother would prove an even match.

Markus nuzzled Lena back. "You're welcome and thank you too." He was glad that Lena was beginning to seem to be a bit more cheerful. It made him feel like he was a good parent for once since he had never really been the best with children when he used to be in his old pack.

She patted her little boy on the head gently with a motherly smile. "Brutus. It is okay to dream." her voice was stern, but still light and airy, before she glanced at her mate and little girl. She glanced back at Brutus, having a feeling like Lena wanted to talk to him, and trotted over to her Mate. "She's right you know. You are a good papa. And a good mate."

Frowning at how she didn't respond to his womanizing comment, he pouted, just a little. Then, he crouched, and also took off, wondering if her starting boost would help her win.

"Always, Daddy." She knew that she had to introduce Asher to them...eventually. She only hoped it wouldn't break mom's heart - but, hey. That was something to consider for another day, wasn't it? She would be happy, right? She was so lost in her thoughts for a moment that she didn't notice when Brutus was free to talk. When she did, she glanced at him, once again wondering how she was going to be received. A ball of anxiety knotted in her stomach, and she almost didn't want to go through with it. But she knew that she had an apology to give to him. Maybe one to her parents, too. It's not like she'd blamed anyone for her fur color, but it just felt like...she should apologize. "Um, Brutus...?" she started, the shyness and timidity plain in her voice. Before he could answer or before she could chicken out, she blurted, "I'm sorry." and sat with her eyes pointed to the ground, ears pinned back and tail curled around her legs.

Markus smiled proudly. "Why thanks and so are you." He watched the two as they were trying to make up. He had faith in his two kids that they would be able to work there problems out.

Yui kept running for a while until she noticed a butterfly. "Oh my goodness!" She then changed her course of direction and started chasing the butterfly instead. "Get back here! I want to play with you!" Unfortunately Yui could be quite the ditz sometimes and a bit ADD.

Brutus hadn't noticed at first since he was lost in thought himself. When Lena spoke up it kind of surprised him that she would be apologizing. "Huh? What are you apologizing for?" For once in his life he felt bad that his sister felt this way about him. He wasn't the best for emotional support, but what he did sometimes was help fight off anyone who wished harm physically on the family.

Saiyoko smiled brightly in response to her mate's musings, and nuzzled him in response. Thanks to her ability, soft heart, she felt all the turmoil that Lena must be going through. How could she have not noticed it before? How different her puppy must have felt. How brave it was of her to be talking to her brother about her problem. She had wondered if someone outside the family had reached out to her, and was quite curious. All those emotions were plain on her features, but, she dreamed. Perhaps it was a boy - and their family would continue to grow larger! Perhaps...her pack could be whole again. With a somber thought about her father...as whole as it could be, at least. But..maybe he would come back, some day.

When Yui veered off the path to the river, he bolted right past her, so caught up in his game. Confused, he glanced around, "Whaa?" he activated his dual sight to see what she was doing, and...would you look at that. A butterfly. Calling out at her, "Well you'll never play with me like that, sis! I'm all the way over here! And I'm going to win if you don't catch up!" Waiting a moment to see if she had responded, he waited for her to turn and resume their game before he darted off again.

When Brutus questioned how Lena had wronged him, she got cold feet. She wanted to turn tail and run, anxiety latched on to her and couldn't let her speak. She froze up. "For...for um..." her posture still the same dejected one it had been before, she mumbled quietly, "Always being sad...." she hoped he would not yell at her again. Then, she pictured Asher. His smiling face, and the smiling face on his flank. "I...I know now that it wasn't a good reason. My fur color. There...are worse things.." Then, she couldn't help the tears that began to well in her eyes, and overflow down her muzzle. What if he rejected her, like she had always felt rejected? What if he yelled at her, didn't accept her apology? Gasping shortly, she could not compose herself, and began to hiccup. But it was true, and he didn't help with not comforting her when she did feel sad. Of course, she should have gone to mother. To her papa. "I - I'm sorry.." she stammered again. "For being so annoying", - her mind started - "for always complaining, for being a bother. For, for..." She stopped and her face took on one of shock when she had realized her inner ramblings had been said aloud, though the tears did not cease in their flow. Boy, had she done it now. She was making up things to be sorry about. Somewhere, she knew that. What...had she done wrong, by being different, and embracing it -albeit in the wrong way? As she said the words to herself, she said them in Asher's voice, and got a weird mixed jumble of emotions in her chest as she tentatively, shyly, looked at her brother to see what his response would be.

Yui caught the butterfly, but it was struggling then eventually stopped. She spit it out. "Oh no!" She whined a bit sad. "I think I killed it." She sniffled a bit sad and distressed that she killed the butterfly before sulking back to her twin. "I'm sorry...Let's continue." She smiled a bit weakly before starting to try and race again although she was going pretty slow.

Markus smiled at his mate then looked at the two trying to make up. He heard a whining in the woods. "Would you mind if I went to check on the other two? I'll be back in a sec."

Brutus looked even more shocked and a bit scared. He was never expecting her to say something like that, not to mention the fact that he himself felt extremely guilty. It seemed a bit strange, but he was just as awkward as she was at the moment. Feeling he should say something to her to not make her feel so scared, but a bit nervous he would frighten her he finally spoke up after a couple minutes. "I-It's fine...you didn't do anything wrong." He looked to the ground himself. "I-I'm honestly not that good of a brother to tell you the truth." He looked towards her then away for a moment. "At the time when that happened I was actually annoyed, because I had heard of how dad's family got slaughtered by a pack of ravenous wolves and how horrible and awful that would be too loose your family so suddenly. I honestly felt that everything else didn't matter." He looked down at his paws. "However, after getting to know this one wolf named Neo he told me that each and every wolf has problems of their own. Just because it doesn't seem as bad doesn't mean it's not important. The best thing to do is listen and try to help if possible and not jump to such harsh conclusions....such as I did." He shifted his paws around. "I never really was that good at sensing other's moods like mother. It's too bad I didn't inherit that talent. Then I wouldn't of hurt or scared you this much...I'm sorry."

"Not at all, dear," she replied to her mate. The twins were always doing something, so she usually didn't worry about them. Though Markus being the great father he was, it made sense that he wanted to check on his little girl.

Watching the whole scene with his twin, Kaito felt a bit sad. He padded over to investigate, right next to her. At a loss for what to say, he blurted, "You're good at catching things, though!" Casting a glance around the area, he spotted another butterfly, and disappeared. Leaping at it to catch it, it eluded him, but he chased it back over to his twin, where it eventually settled on her nose. He sat in front of them and grinned.

When his voice finally did pierce the dreadful, daunting silence, she winced, then took a moment to process the words. Slowly, she uncurled her tail, and tilted her face towards him to listen, ears flicking, hardly believing what she was hearing. It was fine? She felt herself smile. At the speech about him not being a good brother, she found it hard to respond, and just looked at him in askance. When hearing about her father's pack, however, she gasped. "It...It would be..." she agreed, now feeling terrible that she had complained over something so little. But to lose your whole family, "I...felt like I had lost my whole family, though." she explained. Then, it was Brutus' turn to apologize, and she was taken aback. "Brutus..." she started, unsure of what to say to him.. "I..Um. If you weren't a good brother...you would have turned me away just now, and...." she pondered, thinking of what to do now that everything was out in the open. "I'll forgive you...if you'll forgive me...and be my big brother again." she looked at him, sadly and tentatively, though her gaze held no tears, and held steady.

Saiyoko felt a pang at her daughter's words; she had no idea Lena had felt like she had lost her whole family. She wished the little Moonlit would have told her about this all. While she was sure Brutus could handle it, she padded over, and put in lightly to Lena, "Lena...You have always had your family. Me, and your father." it hurt to be saying, since most of her family had up and disappeared, but she still had them, "Lena, I want to tell you something. I am the only purple wolf in my family. And it isn't fur color that makes you a part of the family, it's the fact that people care about you." She dreamed that wherever her father and brothers had went, they still cared, "and we care about you, very much." She could almost cry that her daughter had suffered so much turmoil and she never knew, "I am so sorry you felt like you lost us. But, Brutus has made a promise to me, to all of us, that as long as he is around, nothing will happen to make you lose us. Okay, Lena?"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 11, 2013 1:06 pm

Yui looked at the dead butterfly then up at the other butterfly before sighing again. "I know, but I still shouldn't of played so rough on it. I forget that butterflies are delicate creatures. Once you rip their wings off, they don't have much life left." She noticed her dad was coming over and tried to cheer up. "Don't worry it's nothing. I just need to realize that I can't play rough with everything."

Markus kind of got the hint that Yui was cheering up. "I see. If you guys want I could use some help hunting if you want to burn off some energy. I wasn't sure what to get today, but either a rabbit, pheasant, squirrel, or deer might do if you have enough energy for it."

Brutus listened to what Lena said. He did not want to be one to jump to accusations so he just kept quiet for a while. He knew that they were both different in more ways than one, but still it gave him no right to claim his way was worse than hers. "I can forgive you also if you'll forgive me too." He looked away for a moment. "This might sound a bit strange coming from me too, but I actually think your coat is rather beautiful."

"You didn't mean to..." Kaito started, feeling a little guilty that it was probably some of his doing that she had to play so rough with other creatures; he was a rough player himself, and she was always his best playmate. Then he noticed their father coming over, and he greeted him with a bark. "Sure!" he bounced up into a playbow, excited for the chase of a hunt. He squared his shoulders and puffed his chest out handsomely to show how much he was ready for the hunt.

Lena looked at her mother curiously. Had she really been the only purple wolf in the family of hers. She began to understand, and nodded, "And I care about all of you, too....Okay, mother." then, she felt the hurt her mother had felt, despite her words, and nuzzled her, "I'm sorry I never came to you..." then, at the mention of Brutus, she smiled and looked at him, "I know you will protect all of us Brutus. Thank you." she began to beam, "I forgive you, and...thank you, again." she commented about her coat, and felt whole and complete.

Saiyoko smiled at her daughter when she listened, "I am glad, and it is alright." she responded about her keeping secrets, "But, no more secrets okay? We are family." she looked at her pups as they came together again and her heart swelled with joy: nothing was, or could, break this bond that they all shared. Her daughter nuzzled her, and she draped a paw around her back with a smile, whispering, "Thank you..."
