Seek and Ye Shall Find RPG The first attempt at an RP here at Seek and Ye Shall Find. I am Mostly Dead Sirius Black, a simple moderator but I will be the one to post this thread due to the overwhelming number of the threads begun by our dear captain, Remus. If you wish to join, please go to the Profile thread and fill out an application and send it to either myself or Ex-Professor Remus Lupin.
Plot Simply put, this is the Marauder's sixth year at Hogwarts which, if you've been reading your Harry Potter books, doesn't really mean much here except all sixth years will be learning how to Apparate at some point in the year. The plot is rather ambiguous. We are starting this at King's Cross so remember your trunks, pets, brooms, and whatever else you may need at Hogwarts this year.
Class Schedule I would like to say that if the schedule doesn't work for your character, go ahead and make an invisable second class to go to during one of your breaks or something.

Rules You need to read these before you start RPing... 1. No cybering. 2. No godmoding. 3. No autoing. 4. No netspeak. 5. Follow the general guild rules, posted on the front page of the guild. 6. OCs are allowed. 7. Each person is allowed only one character unless they are Rem or Ahro. Both of them are Dumbledore. 8. A maximum of fifteen posts a day. 9. No slang or noob-talk: example OMG11eleventy three YOU SO HAWT SIRIUS *glomps* Not only do I not appreciate this, Ahro will not either.
10. No asterisks in posts. This is a literate RP and we ask that you post in paragraph form including capitalization and proper grammar. Word Processors are available on most computers and can be used as for spelling and grammar checks on your posts. 11. If you have an original Harry Potter character, you have fifteen days to make your first post after applying for your character. If you fail to do so you will recieve a warning and will have three days to post. If you don't, you will lose the character so some one else can have it. 12. If you have an original Harry Potter character, you must post at least once every fifteen days unless you send a PM to either Ex-Professor Remus Lupin, Ahro, or Mostly Dead Sirius Black explaining why you cannot post. Fail to do so and will recieve a warning through PM. You will have three days to post, after which if you still haven't, you will recieve another warning. After the third warning, you're out. 13. Have fun. 14. Anything Ex-Professor Remus Lupin, Ahro, or Mostly Dead Sirius Black says goes. 15. You cannot post without sending in a profile and having it approved 16. [Since I have nothing better to do, I shall be the first poster and get this RP up and running.]
Adjusting her bandana, Sybill Trelawney gazed down at her trunk. The scratched and ancient looking thing had been passed down through her family since her great-great-grandmother, Cassandra. Decorated with moons and stars, it charted out the night sky across its lid. The lock had been broken and replaced and the surface repainted to a deep midnight blue.
Looking quickly around Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, she sighed and set about hovering the trunk into the train. Another year at Hogwarts, she thought as she entered the train, hovering her trunk over the heads of the younger years. A first year student nearly leapt out of the way as she passed.
"It would seem," she said softly, gazing down at the first year girl from over the rims of her glasses, "that you are fated for a terrible injury today."
The first year squeaked in fright and rushed off down the corridor. Sybill watched her with a mixture of irritation and amusement. No one ever did appreciate her talent.

OoC: I've been approved for ages so I guess I can post! By the way the outfit Lily is wearing is from the seventies, (I looked at old pictures off my mum and she wore almost the same thing, exept her stomach was covered with a t-shirt, in 1975!)
IC: Excitement fluttered in the pit of Lily Evans' stomach, so what if she was a nerd, she loved school, loved the excuse to get away from her sisters taunts and dirty looks, and her parents who tried somewhat childish methods of stopping them fighting, i.e. putting them in separate corner of the room. It meant she'd see her magical friends and get to talk about Quidditch, which she adored even though she pretended not to be very impressed by it when in the company of James Potter. It meant she'd get to go to Hogsmead and spend all her money buying wizard candy. It also meant there was no more summer job cleaning tables in the cafe down the road from her house.
"Of course my jumper is suitable mother!" Lily Evans muttered as soon as she was far enough away from her parents for them not to hear.
Okay maybe it wasn't a September jumper, it was grey-blue in colour and cropped to reveal three inches of her stomach, but she liked it.
Lily looked down at the trunk with a mixture off affection and annoyance, it was too heavy because she'd crammed so many muggle books into it but it always made her smile because she'd made everyone in Gryffindor sign it in fourth year. Okay so James had asked her out by writing it on her trunk and she was still tempted to write yes on it then show him, but she didn't.
Lily only pretended she didn't fancy James, which was probably silly, but she couldn't stand the way he treated her like he wasn't asking her out because she was special but because he was doing her a favour.
She hadn't really seen what asking out a nerd who wore little kids clothes whilst most other girls flashed their bodies around was doing to his reputation, sure people thought she was nice but that didn't seem to be enough.
She had friends whom she loved a lot but she just was as cool.
Pretending to be totally casual Lily slipped between the barrier between the platforms. It always took her breath away to see the sheer volume of people on the one little platform.
She looked around and began to get a nervous twitch in the pit of her stomach; it always happened but this year it was different.
Lily had pretty much always looked a bit like a little girl, she'd worn straight but slightly large trousers and big home knitted jumpers.
This year she'd grown up, and had her navel showing, she was wearing fitted navy jeans that flared from the knees, and mary-jane shoes (which she hadn't given up wearing due to comfort value).
Her parents weren't too enamoured by their daughters new look but she had gotten several admiring glances from boys on the way from the car park. Admittedly they were nerd and not a single one of them was attractive, but at least it gave her a slight confidence boost.
Lily looked around again, she guessed she'd have to find her friends because they probably wouldn't recognize her from the back!

((Whee! So as far as I know I've got the only hufflepuff character! Sweet! Hufflepuff pride baby!))
Jean huffed as he pushed the cart as quickly as he could through the gathered muggle train traffic. People yelped and jumped out of the way and dove to get to the side as he ran through, shouting at them all to 'just move!'
His mother and father had said goodbye at the front of the train station and he'd been given a bag of chocolate drops from his little sister as a going away gift. It'd taken quite some time to get a trolley and when he'd looked at his watch he'd noticed that time was quickly slipping by. So now he raced through muggles of all sizes to get to platform 9 and 3/4 in less than ten minutes. Jean was going so fast he didn't notice that his broom was sliding off the front end, and he only did notice when it finally hit the floor and a wheel of the trolley bumped it, tipping over to the side and spilling his trunk and belongings all over the floor.
Cursing his luck, Jean quickly began to shove items back into their repected places and close his trunk. His flared jeans were catching on his feet and the knees which had become worn over the summer ripped, which made the day just that much worse. And then, when he really didn't think it could be much worse, the trolley's wheel began to shake when he got back to pushing it down the hall, and then it fell off all together and so he was pushing a three wheeled gimp trolley which scraped the ground and he wouldn't be able to get into the platform fast enough. Jean took deep calming breaths as he approached the platform and glanced around, hoping that maybe someone he knew from school would come by, help him.
But after a few minutes of nothing, he took a deep, shuddering breath and pushed the cart forward as hard as he could, the loud scraping sound making his ears hurt. Giving one more glance, he put all his weight into it and pushed the cart through the portal. And popped out onto platform 9 and 3/4.
Jean sighed and leaned against the trolley, breathing deeply. He licked his lips and then pushed the trolley forward once more, students crowding around the station moving out of his way and giving him an odd look. He said hello to a few fellow Hufflepuffs and then stopped in front of the train. He picked up his trunk and broom and grunted as he ambled onto the train, waddling down the aisle and looking for a room to sit in.
((I don't wanna sit by myself.... *sniffle*))

((NAHAHA! Slytherins ho!))
Regulus shifted uncomfortably as he looked around the Platform. Really, this was ridiculous. It wasn't like he hadn't gone to school before, and it wasn't like it was his first time going without his parents. It was just the first time he would be getting on the train without Sirius by his side. Lifting his head up and trying to look as intimidating as any seventh year, the fifteen-year-old Slytherin tried to push his big brother from his mind. He was the one who had left, after all. He was just going to have to simply suck it up and carry on. Lifting his trunk with one hand, Regulus climbed aboard the train. If he were lucky he'd come across Severus long before the train started and thus have a place to sit.

(Enter our first Marauder. ^_^)
Remus had already taken his trunk aboard the train and was now standing on the platform waiting for someone he knew to show up. He had been looking forward to this year, especially since they would be learning how to Apparate. He was the first of this group that would turn seventeen and he had been quiet about it, but he was sure James or Sirius would have a say in the matter.
He spotted a familiar head of dark red hair, but something was different. Confused, Remus started toward her, thinking that maybe he could catch her scent. He saw the deep, familar green eyes before he had to resort to anything drastic. "Lily!" he called out, approaching his fellow prefect.

(OOC: enter Sniv... er, Severus!)
Severus pushed his trolley through the barrier onto Platform 9 3/4, barely looking up as he did so, greasy black hair mostly hiding his face from view. He hoisted his trunk up onto the train, looking for someone to sit with. It wasn't long before he spotted Regulus, and he walked over to join him, feeling somewhat relieved to have found a relatively friendly face instead of Potter and his gang.

(OOC) See Remus. I'm posting. Holy crap. Mrah. **eats face**
(IC)
Running a hand through his short, messy, mop of navy hair, his eyes wondered through out the mob of newly arriving students and those who were returning. Numorous immature pranks swelled up in his mind. He had made a list of things to do to people over the summer for this new sixth year at Hogwarts but... he decided against the few he had wanted to do while on the platform.
Soon enough, more and more familiar faces began to show up. Ignoring the majority, especially the younger females who had already begun their swooning around him as he passed, he found himself practically running into the familiar brunette.
"Well, if it isn't Lupin and Evans. Decided on continuing your education in this wonderful world of magic?" He said with a wide grin as he swung one arm around the young man as he leaned in on their conversation.

Regulus grinned at Severus. He considered the older Slytherin his best friend- and secretly his kind of adoptive brother. As much as any Slytherin could possibly have anyway. "Narcissa is sitting with the Prefects. She's head girl this year," Regulus informed him with false brightness. "We're on our own this year I guess. Shall we find a place to sit?"

((... oh man... I have a feeling being the only Hufflepuff is gonna suck. I'll just post Jean sitting down by himself. Cause I have a feeling thats the way its gonna be a lot.))
Jean grunted and kicked open a door to an empty cabin. He tossed his trunk onto the opposite bench and sat down, his hands wrapped around his broom handle. It was warm, so he took off his light jacket, revealing a bright green short sleeved t-shirt. Sighing heavily, Jean leaned back and his head fell against the window as he stretched out on the bench. His eyes closed and soon Jean was drifting in day dreams of the future year. Mostly about quidditch and herbology.
((There, he can sit by himself till they get to the castle or something.))

"Hello Sirius," Remus muttered, ducking out from beneath Sirius' arm and stepping back from his fellow Marauder. "How was your summer?"

Severus smiled back... well, about as much as he ever smiled anyway, and nodded. "All right," he said, and started looking for somewhere they could sit. The best, of course, would be alone, but it would be all right as long as they were away from anyone too generally offensive. And if someone tried anything against either of them, he'd be ready.

Lily smiled warmly.
"Hello Remus, hi Sirius," Lily rolled her eyes at one of the girls who's eyeballs were practically falling out of her head as she stared at Sirius.
"So, seen any of your fanclub yet?" Lily gently teased, it was only in the past year she'd started talking to Sirius, her and remus had been frienly enough before then but she wasn't exectly best friends with either of them.
This year she'd sworn, call it a new school-years resolution that she was going to be as nice as possible to the Marauders.
But she did suddenly feel way too selfconcious, but that was probably because by standing around with Remus and Sirius she increased her chances of bumping into James by 99%. She wasn't quite sure if this was good or bad.
