If you do, tell me about them!
I love birds, well, specifically parrots.
What about you?

I own a flock of my own, here's a little about them.

Birdy is my Quaker Parrot.
He loves to sit on his play gym and yell his favorite words, "whatcha doin?!".
He adores it when I pet his cheek or head, and when I talk to him he fluffs out his cheeks and talks along with me.

Sugar is my sweet, beautiful, white Cockatiel.
She likes to perch on my finger and tweet and chirp.
I love to watch her play with her foot toys, she takes them out of her bucket and throws them all around her cage.

Mickey is my Lutino Peach-Faced Lovebird.
His favorite thing to do is tear up the newspaper I put in the bottom of his cage.
He also loves attention and likes to sit on my shoulder and chirp when I walk around with him.

Artemis and Amarillo are a pair of Budgies, and they're the cutest things I've ever seen.
Amarillo is bright yellow and loves to play with toys with beads on them.
Artemis is blue and loves to chew up wood.
They're ion birdy-love.

Last but not least are Pickles and Sally, my other pair of Budgies.
Although they aren't handle-able, they're very good to each other, and seem to love each other.

That's my flock x] What about yours?

I had two parakeets Duster and Fancy. They were cute. I could only hold Duster though. Fancy was a timid bird.

Our first bird was actually a young English sparrow my mom found being attacked by a blue jay years ago. Chancey, named because she'd had such a small chance of surviving that first night. She lived in my room for several months until she passed away, likely something related to internal injuries from the incident. She wasn't the happiest bird always, being stuck indoors and unable to fly/see out of one eye after th attack, but she did sing happily at me when I came home from school and sang along with the radio when I'd play it for her. I also had this sparrow-shaped little conrete figure that she used to sit with.

We got our budgie, Bluebelle, a few months after Chancey passed away. She was white with some gray and black markings and a sky blue bell shape on herstomach/main tail feathers. Bluebelle lived for 9.5 years and was a real happy socialite. The vet claimed that females are often the more timid gender, but no one told Bluebelle that. =) She loooved attentio and particularly loved men's voices. She thought that loud = happy, so she'd always merrily enter into the conversation anytime someone got mad and yelled. She never learned any words, but she knew kissing. She'd make a kissing noise and put her beak right up to your lips. Of course, there was usually some happy head-bobbing after that, too. Man, I miss her....

I'm terrible at birds. Something always happens to them.

When I was younger we always had cockatiels since my grandfather breeds them. He keeps most of the babies and gives some away to people in the family who ask for them. My first one died of fright at only 2 because we got cats and they used to sleep on his cage at night. One night someone forgot to cover it, when we woke up he was dead. My second one died because my brother wanted to see if she could swim in the bathtub.

I've bought myself a yellow budgie one year for my birthday and she lived for a few years, but I don't think it was a full lifetime. When she died, my friends all chipped in to buy me a new one as a birthday gift. He was a light blue and I named him Hamlet. He must not have been healthy from the start because the day after I got him, he had crusties all over his eyes and then died a day later.

Just before they bought him for me, I had a Quaker for a few months. He was an older gent, my aunt gave him to me because her husband didn't want her to have him anymore. He could talk and that was really cool. He loved me and hated my brother. Another plus. Then when I was not around, one of my friends was smoking in my room and was apparently blowing smoke at him. Needless to say, he was also a goner.

I've also had Button Quail and I want to get them again in the future. They're a real delight to have around.

I'm not going to get anymore birds for quite a few years, then start off small and work my way up. I'll probably get more quail, raise them for their full expected lifetime and after that works, I'll go for another parrot.
