 The strange-looking female padded absentmindedly over the territory lines, never once pausing to consider the alphas making their rounds, or perhaps a pack member laying in wait to ambush her. She had never heard of the rumors of Gomorrah, nor did she care.
No, this girl was looking for something, and nothing would stand in her way.
Haavi's small paws slipped silently over the earth, taking her towards the smell of puppies, beautiful puppies. She had wanted one for awhile now... She had wanted one badly. A puppy to call her own. Take and receive, take and receive! Her long tail wagged as she came upon one den.
Several large puppies lounged outsides, their coats in burnt oranges and blues and whites. They were long-legged and lanky, growing out of their puppy fur and into adult-coats. The alphas' teens. She whined as a tiger-striped male seemed to catch her eye for the briefest of seconds.
No. They were too big. She wanted something cute, something cuddly! Younger... She made a sound in her throat and continued on. After much sniffing, she popped her head through the bushes and her gaze fell on the perfect pet. A odd little female, her coal-black coat...shining? in the sunlight? She frowned. Why would she shine?
Oh, but it was a gift from God. This was Her puppy. It had to be.
With a wicked smile, Haavi dropped to her belly on the earth and waited until the coast was clear. Oh, what a perfect day for a pupnapping...

 The one-eyed she-wolf pondered her life. Gomorrah was good. Her pups were safe and soon she'd be able to do her duties toward her Alpha. She was grateful for the rest she'd been getting after birthing her four pups, all she loved so much. She worried for them a bit, having no father and their mother not being very well established in the order of the pack. But they seemed to all take it in stride, save for maybe Agrona just a bit. She had a mighty temper. Must be from the father...
Kurosage wasn't feeling all that tired as she stretched and kept her one eye on her youngest, Teita. The others had gone off and young Teita seemed just about ready to go seek her siblings for some play time.
It was ok. The alpha's pups were nearby and she herself was not just an old wolf. She was still in her prime. "Just don't go too far ok Teita?"
Maybe it was about time to look for a male wolf. Or maybe she should present herself to Piper, do something useful. She got up and padded softly out of the bushes, glancing once again at Teita. Too many scents in the air and she still hadn't completely adjusted to it all. Probably something odd. Teita stretched and nuzzled her mother lovingly. The sun bathe was nice but it was high time for some fun. The alpha's kids were getting pretty lanky and older than her and her siblings. But at least she could still have some fun right? If not, Teita imagined that it wouldn't hurt to see what the other adults did. After all, doing was always better than talking. Tail wag in the air, once, twice, and Teita pounced off to look for her siblings. Maybe Satoru or Xavi would be up for some fun~

 Xavierie was sprawled under the shade of the nearest pine, his long body stretched out and his glowing green eyes surveyed his surroundings. His ears swiveled back and forth, but mainly focused on his mother and sister. He wasn't sure where Agrona and Satoru had gotten off to, but what did he care? He was hardly their keeper. Besides, Teita was his favorite sibling anyway.
He smiled slightly, his lips merely twitching -- the most movement he'd done in awhile -- as Kurosage padded through the bushes and out of sight. Probably to go check on the unaccounted-for siblings. Who knew? He wasn't going to get up and follow her. Instead, his eyes were trained on Teita as she bounded, looking around.
Something moved in the shadows. In the bushes. His gaze lingered on the spot where shadows shifted. There, a wolf. A strange-looking wolf... And she was looking at Teita...
'Move, sister!' part of him wanted to call, to make her have the heads up that someone was watching her. But his mouth didn't open and his throat didn't work. The words came out as a grumble instead, audible only to himself. He just watched. There, there. Dark eyes were trained on the shiny black puppy as she bounded around, looking for something. Looking for fun. Oh, they would have fun! They would have loads of fun! The one-eyed wolf that seemed to linger -- the mother, more than likely -- finally padded off, giving Haavi her chance.
The teal she-wolf rose to her paws soundlessly, taking a deep breath before darting into the open. Her paws carried her over the earth, her tail flagging out behind her. Her jaws opened in a hysterical shriek of laughter as she aimed for the black pup, maw open and ready to scoop her up.
There! She would have her precious little pet... Though, the look in her dark eyes was hardly motherly.

Teita happily wandered through the forage, seeing a shine of goldish colored fur. Shiny? Teita thought that that must be Xavi! Oh the fun! Xavi was such a great brother, and he was lots of fun, for all he sometimes seemed to like to roll in the mud. But that was fun, it sounded like a great idea for when they'd go hunting. Teita thought it was a great idea for making sure the fur didn't startle any prey or predator... Happy happy thoughts.
There would be great fun to be had if it was really him. But all she could do was see him open his mouth. How come he won't say anything?
"Xavi!" She bounded toward him but slid her paws into the dirt. What was that sound? The rushing sound of wind, like something big was moving around the bushes? Teita turned and saw the rushing she-wolf with the gaping maw aimed at her.
Was she gonna be eaten? She scrambled to her paws, trying to get up. She couldn't catch her breath, shaking her head to watch for maybe her brother. Her mother!
"M-m-momma!" It was the only thing she could get out.
Kurosage had pondered maybe seeing if Agrona or Satoru had gotten themselves into some trouble before heading to piper when she heard the ruckus. Violent swaying of the bushes and the cry, that cry that she knew. Teita!
She turned and bounded over the earth as if it was nothing, the chain on her flesh no hindrance to her movements. All her senses, her sights on the last area she had seen her daughter, her hearing set on where she heard the yelp.

He watched with wide-eyes as the bigger female came tearing out of the shadows and the bushes with her jaws held wide, looking like she was ready to eat his sister. He saw Teita leap for him, heard his name called out, and saw her spin to face her attacker. His heart, in a strange sweep of emotion, went cold and began to pound heavily. He gave an oomph of effort as he climbed to his feet and trotted towards them, but he was sure it would be too late...
"Puppy!" she cried with a delightful snap of her jaws. She watched the pup scramble, trying to get out of the way. She heard her cry and it was like music to her ears. Oh my, she was -afraid- of Haavi! Strange Haavi who scared no one!
"No momma here," she crooned as she closed the distance between herself and the puppy, curling herself around her little black body, licking her face. Almost lovingly, if it hadn't been so twisted.
A shine caught her eye. A bumbling yellow pup with a mud-matted coat was making his way towards them. But slowly, sluggishly, as if 'slow' was the only speed he went.
With a crow of laughter, she scooped Teita up in her jaws, surprised at the weight, but keeping her held high. She glanced around once more, then pranced back towards the woods.
She never heard Kurosage coming.

Teita squirmed and cried. This weird crazy blue she-wolf had her in HER JAWS. It even LICKED her! She was hanging above the ground at this wolf's merciful teeth. Teita whimpered, tears in her eyes. Her thrashing obviously had no effect on this crazy one. Why? If she could only just... bite the she-wolf.
"Xavi! Momma!" Teita cried once more, squirming in the jaws of the she-wolf.
What a farce this was! It was infuriating. Her pup was crying for her! TEITA was crying for her! And what did she hear some crazy whelch crying puppy? Oh momma was here, and she was not a happy one.
She howled and snarled as she saw the wench holding TEITA in the crazy one's jaws. HER DAUGHTER. With an even louder howl ripping out of her mouth, she clamped her jaws on the she-wolf and turned her body, releasing Teita and ripping the wench to the ground.
She rose to her paws, upright and tense. She surveyed the area with her one glaring eye, the dark orange glow getting brighter almost. Xavi!
"Xavi! Go back to the den and make sure your siblings are okay!" She snarled, as long as the other pups were with the older wolves of the pack it would be good.
She turned once again to Teita. With a nuzzle, and a turn she growled at the she-wolf. Her one eye trained on the she-wolf she ordered, "Teita! Follow Xavi! Go back to the den!"

Oh, this was so wonderful! A pet of her own, a pet to love and care for and keep clean! Haavi's insides were just about bursting with joy as she carried said squirming pet over the territory and into the woods.
Or almost there.
She was stopped by a roar of fury, head turning to see that one-eyed black wolf -- the pup's blood mother -- lunging at her. Pain prickled down her neck, down her sides and back as Kurosage threw her small body to the ground. Haavi tumbled, dropping Teita. Her jaws clicked shut on air, even as she scrambled to her feet to try and catch her. She was stopped by Kuro once more.
Her small frame clung to the earth, though her dark eyes were wild, focused on the seriously pissed Kurosage, a snarl rippling from her throat. "How dare you!" she shrieked angrily. "Taking my puppy away from me! How dare you!"
Xavi strolled to a halt, watching as his mother attacked the wolf that had Teita in her grasp. The blue wolf tumbled to the ground, sending Teita flying from her jaws. He watched with wide green eyes. "Teita!" he barked hoarsly, using a voice that was rarely used. "Let's go!" He wasn't a dominant wolf, but there was an ounce of demand in his tone as he turned and followed his mother's orders. Back to the den it was.

Teita thankfully didn't meet the earth too hard in her drop to the ground. But she wasn't worried about that, not at all. No, she was still panicked and scared. Her heart beating as if harder and harder, thunder in her ears. She scrambled, making sure a paws were accounted for and shook her head.
She spotted her brother Xavi, and was thankfully so relieved. Her brother and her mother were here. She needed to go with him to make sure she was safe, after all momma had ordered it and Xavi had this tone... something she hadn't heard from him before. She ran after him, following him back to the den. She wasn't sure she ever wanted to be near a blue she-wolf ever again.
Kurosage kept her one glowing eye on this wretched she-wolf. How dare she??!!
"How DARE you! She's my daughter! She's not your puppy! She's my precious baby daughter!" Kurosage snarled. How dare this wench. She tried to take HER daughter away from her. It was time to show that puppy bearing had no affected her badly. She was still a force to be reckoned with. She hadn't made it as long as she had without being one.
With a quick tail flick and the ears sharp, she leapt forward straight at the she-wolf. She howled and clawed at the she-wolf with her claws and snapped at her jugular with her jaws.

Xavierie's mud-coated gold coat caught a beam of light, shimmering around the scruff of his neck, but he stood there, unmoving. He smiled as Teita met his gaze and hurried ahead of him. He took up the rear, keeping a slow, lumbering pace. He would be a large wolf when he matured, that was obvious. "Now we're safe." He was confident, eyes wandering out to see mother and the blue female fighting.
Haavikalani flattened her ears flat against her skull, lips rippling up into a snarl, bone-white fangs flashing dangerously. So what if it was -her- puppy? Haavi -wanted- it. She wanted it. She wanted it! She gave a shriek, darting out of the way. She dodged the attack to her throat just in time, Kuro's jaws clapping shut over fur and pulling. There was a slight pain, and then she was free again. "I wanted her," she said simply, almost childishly, watching the black she-wolf with uncertainty.

Teita didn't worry about how the sun reflected on her fur, the sheen of colors. All she could think of was the safety of the den, away from the crazy blue shewolf. I mean really, she wanted to steal her from her mother! Steal her! Honestly. She turned back to see Xavi look out, eyes seeing the battle that Teita could only wish she could be in. Oh, if only SHE could be the one to do something to the other wolf who dared to steal her away. She would have loved to be the one to claw the she-wolf or snap at her throat. It only set her mind on the plans she had. She would grow strong, she'd do it all.
Kurosage just couldn't believe her ears. The she wolf WAS crazy! She was going to take her Teita just because she wanted her? She was enraged, if it was even possible to be even angrier.
She lunged once more, swatting the back of the she-wolf's head with her paws, clawing at the flesh a bit. She reared back once more snapping her jaws and lunging with her claws.
"Get out of here you wench! Or better yet, stay so I can tear you to shreds!"

Haavi felt the pound of the other wolf's paw at the back of her head, a sharp cuff that sent her reeling. She scrambled to her feet with a hiss of pain and annoyance.
Her gaze darted back to the den, where the black and yellow shiners stood, just watching her. Oh, how she wanted them... She gave a little whine before Kurosage snapped at her, pulling her out of her reverie.
"But I wanted her..."
This was her last remark as she looked longingly back at the black puppy she would never have, then take off towards the territory lines to get the hell outta here.
"Next time," she whispered to herself, reassuring as she left it all behind.
