So, I was talking to a Twitard friend of mine last week about "popular" books. Someone asked about Harry Potter, and she said her mom didn't let her read Harry Potter because of the witchcraft thing. For anyone who doesn't remember, people have been literally barbecuing Harry Potter paraphernalia since at least the fifth book came out. They hold mass burnings on their grills to symbolize the burning of witches. Well, I'm pretty sure vampires aren't the holiest thing around. So I was wondering if there was a reason why nobody holds Twifail barbecues? Other than the SMeyer is a Mormon thing? And if there isn't one, we should hold a barbecue once MidSun comes out.

Ol Gypsy because twilight's too poisonous to eat afterwards. LOL. And it really makes you wonder, huh? People even think that Fullmetal Alchemist is more satanic than Twilight...

If I were a mom, I'd let the kids carry Harry Potter into a church.
Witchcraft? Or....dependent weakling attached to sparkly ***** think I'm going with the former.

My cousins weren't allowed to read or watch Harry Potter (They managed to watch the movies when they weren't home and now my uncle doesn't care anymore) because my uncle didn't like the idea of all the Witchcraft stuff and so didn't want his kids to see any of it or read any of it (despite my one cousin being a total goth XD).
I haven't heard of any cases where parents haven't allowed kids to read Twilight because of the references to Vampires... o.O Which is strange because generally vampires are worse than witches. Though then again with the whole Salem Witch Trials deal way back when, witches and warlocks are generally more people match up with as demonic.
Though seriously... go to a Twifail BBQ? XD Lol.... burn copies of the books? :3 Then eat afterward? Hmm... yeah I just don't see such a thing ever occurring, plus I don't think most of us Anti's are that crazy.

Since I am a witch, (like religious wise, I'm Wiccan), I love the Harry Potter books. And it's fantasy, it's nothing that kids can do in reality, other than the facts that the herbs are named to many real-life herbs (minus the fact Mandrakes are not babies, they are poisonous roots).
So fantasy like Harry Potter compared to something that destroys the wonderful monster of the night like a Vampire to be such a wimp like TwiFail does, I agree with these burnings. Let's start them!!! I'll bring the gasoline.

scream I can't believe people think Harry Potter is witchcraft!!
Well, they do use the word a lot.
Besides, Harry Potter is majorly platonic/abstinent and has good morals. It encourages good behavior, even though some kids become obsessed.
But Twilight is pure evil!!! BURN IT!!!

I never thought of HP or FMA as satanic at all; maybe Voldemort, with the snakes thing, you know that was done on purpose since snakes are generally thought of as evil creatures... But Twilight should definitely burn, for all the yougn minds that are ruined because of it...

But Twilight should definitely burn, for all the yougn minds that are ruined because of it... The only reason why snakes are thought as evil is because in the Bible (yes, I do know some of Christian literature), that the devil himself was shown as a serpent, and in pagan believes, snakes are symbols of knowledge, and which are associated with pagans. He was offering Eve the Apple of Knowledge to help her know the world better, and for her knowing the world and taking that bite, she was shunned from the Garden of Paradise because she knew too much. This is why most Christians are ignorant to be tolerant of other religions. I have a fear of snakes because it's my own personal fear and have been in too many situations with a bunch of uncaged ones ( I use to live in East Texas, so many there).
