I've been here long enough now to see that we all love our music, KoRn shaped or otherwise. ^_^ But I haven't seen a tribute thread, so I decided to post one myself:
This is a thread to talk about, show pictures of, and in any other way, pay homage to the famous musicians we have lost. What comes to my mind is Eric Carr, Dimebag, and the bassist of Metallica, but what ever you want to say, go for it. If you saw any one in concert before their death, then post and tell us how they were and what they were like!!
So um. . .I guess I'll go first. wink

Paul Caravello took up the drumsticks after Peter Criss left KISS in 1981. The band put a lot of effort into making the switch seamless, so a new makeup and character scheme. Also, Paul shortened his name to match the syllable length of Peter's, so his name became Eric Carr. As far as I know, he is the only non-original KISS member to get his own make up and character scheme, making him The Fox.
Eric was welcomed to the band by most fans, and KISS had a successful stint with him. Unfortunately Carr's health took a dramatic turn for the worse in the late '80s, and he died of a brain aneurism on November 24, 1991. But of course, the show must go on. . . KISS hired another drummer in Eric Singer, and continued.
The point of this thread isn't to go emo though, its to celebrate what these musicians did while they were alive. I have the last album Eric performed on while he was healthy, and I love it. ^_^ Long live the Fox!
