I wish people would quit shitting themselves over the race of teh actors.
Aren't we ALL equal here? Thus, shouldn't we be given an EQUAL chance?
If the acting is good, the race and ethnicity won't matter.

Mayo_in_a_Dress I wish people would quit shitting themselves over the race of teh actors. Aren't we ALL equal here? Thus, shouldn't we be given an EQUAL chance? If the acting is good, the race and ethnicity won't matter. Y'know, it's possible to promote racial equality AND recognize the diversity of a show, so it does matter. Just sayin.

No we aren't all equal when the show is based around ethnicity. It'd be like shooting a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Movie and using Anthony Hopkins as Will Smith. As Dino just pointed out, it's not racist to recognize the racial diversity inherent in the show, or to complain that white folks are being cast in Asian roles.
Get your hippy "lets all be friends" bullshit out of my guild.
Edit: Although I still assert that white people are present in the show. Just as Native Americans and other oddball races are.

I would like them to at least to try to keep them looking alike the original charcter, which includes race. We wouldnt have Jackie chan play Superman, would we? (I love jackie Chan's work, but he just can not play Superman. )
