Description

For some reason or another, you may find yourself being summoned before Orochimaru himself, or perhaps you have decided that you have some information which should be brought to his attention. This is where you should request an audience with him, and should he find your reasons pressing enough, he just may lend you an ear and fair judgment.

The room is vast and empty, with high ceilings that disappear into nothingness and shining floors which stretch infinitely outward in all directions before being swallowed in darkness. The floor is littered with snakes of all sizes and colors, both scattered and in great slithering piles.

Good luck.

He stood out from the darkness.

He was in his early twenties, though he looked a little younger, a face that, despite the fear on it now, was one prone to laughter and optimism. His hair, a blond that was almost gold, stuck out in all angles from the Getsugakure hitae-ate strapped on his forehead. His eyes, a bright, happy blue, almost seemed to glow with their own light. Even his black chuunin vest and grey clothes seemed to shine with newness in comparison to dank pitch dark of Orochimaru's lair.

He stood out from the darkness and peered about the room, his bare feet shifting on the tile of the floor as he gulped down his fear and tried to face the boogeyman that every child in Konoha checked under the bed and in their closet for.

He called out, softly, fear still almost choking him, but underneath it the anger and resentment kept him strong enough to speak:

"Orochimaru...I'm here. Ikazuchi Kitsune...from Getsu?"

From where moments ago only darkness existed apparated the form of a slightly hunched over and slender figure with a mop of dark, stringy hair and a pair of golden eyes beset in a sallow face. His useless arms were held loosely at his sides, giving his hunched over posture an even eerier feel until he painstakingly straightened his spinal cord and it became easier to see his unattractive face that was notably aged from their last meeting. His expression was as unreadable as always, half hidden behind his hair, his mouth pressed into a line that boarded both an irritated frown as much as a sarcastic grin. His eyes lit up with something malicious when he registered the face of his young victim, his pupil, his prisoner.

He strode closer and as he did so, managed not to bring any harm to the reptiles that slithered around his feet though he wasn't paying them any mind. As he came closer, his form was easier to make out in the darkness that shrouded them, as well as what appeared to be a great moving wall that enclosed both of them and brought them ever closer together as it constricted into a smaller and more obvious ring of moving flesh.

"Hence forth," he fairly whispered at him, his voice reminiscent of a snake in the way he hissed his S's, "you will refer to me respectfully as I now will be acting as your lord and mentor, your master and ruler. After all, it is my word alone which you will one day deliver when you have been conditioned well enough." His words were ominously full of promise, his eyes haunting. "Are you looking forward to your training?"

A snake slithered across his foot and the boy shivered. As if on cue, the Snake-nin entered from the darkness, a sardonic sneer plastered acrost a face that looked as though it were held on by duct tape and prayers...prayers to a devil, by the look in his eyes.
Kitsune tried to stand his ground, for he had faced evil before, in his brother's ambition, his father's disgust, even in his mother's fear...But Orochimaru was different. For there was no other emotion for it to hide behind; it was wickedness, pure and simple, and it demanded Kitsune's utter allegiance.
Could he give it? Could he obey the commands of someone like this? It dawned on him suddenly that he had no other options.

"Hai, Orochimaru..."

He swallowed and heard a dry click.

"-sama."

He squeezed his bright blue eyes shut and opened them again, trying to face Orochimaru with courage. As he met those yellowed, serpentine eyes, he felt the lust pouring out of them, lust for his youth, for his lifeforce, his kekkei genkai, even. His identity. His soul.
He forced back a shiver as he pondered Orochimaru's question.

"I have never had the...pleasure...of being trained by anyone of your, uh, caliber. I wasn't aware you were a RaiJutsu user at all. In Konoha they just said-"

Kitsune bit his tongue.

The fear clearly etched into the young boy's features caused a stirring inside the Sannin, a familiar feeling of ecstasy he hadn't felt in... so long the instance was so vague that he couldn't specifically place a finger upon it. It wasn't unusual for a mere encounter between him and another to begin with them reacting in fear or anger upon the realization with to whom they spoke, but when molding a new vessel, it had to be done a little differently.

He inclined his head in approval, his smile unwavering. At least the boy had the sense to be respectful when the situation called for it, which was more than he could say of a certain shinobi that game immediately to mind. "So you're not as dumb as you look." It was, in its own sense, a compliment, spoken swiftly. But he silenced quickly enough when Kitsune spoke yet again, his head cocked very slightly with intent as he listened.

Despite the boy's attempt to bite off the sentence before it had finished, Orochimaru had heard enough of it to get the gist of what he was implying. He chuckled, his arms folded over his torso, "I would't say I am a Raijutsu user, but again, I wouldn't say I am not, either!" He stepped closer to Kitsune, his slitted eyes finding the Chuunin's large innocent gaze and boring into them. The power he held, the power Orochimaru craved, lay within those innocent orbs.

"I can teach you anything you ever wanted to know, provided you're not a complete waste," he said, placidly. He reached out a calm hand, palm turned upwards. He looked at his own hand and the arc it made upward, the long, thin fingers. "But it is because I saw promise in you that I brought you here." His eyes snapped upwards and he curled his fist closed. "What is it that you most desire?"

Kitsune wanted to shiver at the look of desire in Orochimaru's face, but he at least had enough self-control to stop himself. There was, he discovered, a small sense of pride in himself at meeting that gaze, his kekkei genkai was useful enough to tide over this monster until Sasuke Uchiha had completed whatever godforsaken mission he was on.
The Chuunin listened to the speech, and as cliche as it sounded, it was captivating. What powers didn't this man possess? He was the closest man on earth to achieving immortality, the sole keeper of some of the most secret and horrifying techniques on earth, and even the most melodramatic of rhetoric was spine-tingling in his voice.
And Kitsune had waited for this moment, since they had first left Getsugakure. This was the one moment that he had looked forward to, because he knew he would abandon all emotion and feel only a burning desire within him. He didn't. The Chuunin knew what he wanted, but even as he whispered it, he felt inadequate and ill-prepared, incapable of:

"Revenge."

A multitude of emotions passed over the boy, so quickly the Sannin hadn't the time to properly read them. Most disturbingly, he lacked the confidence and vigor Orochimaru had been expecting.

"It will be granted," he said, almost gleefully, his sickly face twisting into a victorious grin. He was not yet finished, nodding his head as he thought. "Very good."

He stooped lower to him, his eyes narrowing as his mouth approached the boy's neck, not yet close enough to bite him, but close enough that his breath tickled beneath his ear. "I have a gift for you. It is a mark of my most powerful and trusted followers, a badge of strength. " He withdrew from him, expectantly. "If your body and mind are strong enough to reign in its power, with this you will become even stronger.

Ikazuchi Kitsune's electric blue eyes, a sign of weakness to all his family, locked on the Sannin's for a brief moment. Confidence...no. But Potential? No one had ever pushed someone with blue Raiyakugan to the levels Orochimaru had planned. And Kitsune had all of the tools to build himself into a tool for revenge; he had rage, abandonment issues, power, a good teacher, and most of all, his revenge was justified.
He had every right to want to kill his brother, and if cultivated with enough agony and effort, that raw emotion could be polished into the ability to kill.
Ikazuchi Kitsune spoke again, and when he spoke the tremors in his voice were of excitement. This time there was a slight more to his voice, a tingle of ambition, a hint of desire:

"Give it to me."

Before the words had even full been articulate, Orochimaru began to move. His neck for a moment appeared to be made of rubber, rather than skin, and stretched to a length which was not humanly possible and grotesquely snake like. He shot forward and opened his mouth, sinking his teeth into whatever exposed flesh he sighted first, whether it be his neck or his arms or hands. The movement was so fast and so very sudden that it would have been almost impossible for the confused blond to follow.

When he broke the skin with his snake-like fangs, an intense pain would rip through the boy's body like none he had ever before experienced. Orochimaru transferred just a portion of his tainted chakra into the boy's body, laying the mark of the curse upon his unblemished skin.

Kitsune felt that shudder of anticipation meld into horror as Orochimaru's neck began to melt, or soften, or whatever-he couldn't tell. It was as if he had been convinced this was all some horribly lucid nightmare, and that he could make whatever foolish choices he wanted. But when Orochimaru's neck changed, so serpentine, so innately evil, so fundamentally wrong, that he had woken up.

He opened his mouth to scream, raised his hands to beat off this monster, and then the fangs sunk into the wide left side of his neck, just beneath the chin, and the real pain started. His arms fell to his sides, his body limp, his mind and nerves crawling and screaming, but his mouth empty and silent.

He collapsed.

Shikakuru had been led to this room by Orochimaru's right hand man. He had shut the door behind him and left Shika there alone in the vast and empty room. She looked around, no emotion took to the girls face. She watched the snakes slither and move across the shining floor, she turned her eyes away from the floor to the left, then the right side of the room. The room eventually stretched into darkness, she walked further into the room. She normally never spoke
unless she was spoken to, but she might have to introduce herself in this case. She stood in what appered to be the middle of the room, and spoke"Hello? My name is Shikakuru Sohma, Kabuto suggested that I come seek concil with you. He spoke of some sort of forbbiden power you
possess, Orochimaru-samma."
She annoucned in a monotone.
She watched the darkness infront of her, waiting for a sound. For she
couldn't sence chakra in this dark place. She had to wait.
