Hey guys,

I have a new sewing machine (PAFF Hobby)
I'm into arts and crafts...and I've been designing jewelry for years.... I have very little experience with sewing but I want to start creating clothes too... but I'm a complete beginer so I need help with knowing what to start with...

Any one have some beginner patterns I can learn from or some very simple instructions to follow? This would be helpfull

thanks bunches!

That depends largely on what it is you'd like to make. I would suggest starting with something fairly simple to piece together, since that is much harder than the sewing itself.

One thing you could do is browse through some pattern books at the fabric/hobby store. Some will list difficulty levels for the patterns. :3

That depends on what style of sundress you want. I'd start by looking at fabric and patterns, like Errowyn said.

If it's the kind you want, they sell special fabric at WalMart that's already smocked at the top so you just need to cut it to fit your body and make one long seam up the back, and then it's a dress.

1. Jo-Ann fabrics has lots of patterns - got for the ones that are labeled "Easy". The store I go to often has those on a separate rack as well as in the drawers with all the other patterns.

2. The website cutoutandkeep.net has plenty of instructions for sewing project, including some easy ones.

3. Find a book like Generation T for sewing practice and some easy projects.
