Here's a song I thought you guys'd like xd
"Holyground" ~Kan'Nal~
We walk on holy ground. We are the temple thats not made by hands. To change the world, change your vision of it. In this dream there is no blame, we're the creators of this mess we're in. Its time we seek to find some solutions, for the old ways are killing us. The most beautiful of all life lives within the without. And all places in between. So lay me down upon the solid ground and teach me somthing from the ancient of days. Your king of hearts wears a bloody crown. Now I feel an open wound from a hidden sword. Wait...I think its ok. within the without.
If you want to listen to it, go to kannal.org, click on the link on the left side of the page that says "Music/Video" and download the song under the album "Kan'Nal" named "Holy Ground."

very meaningful lyrics. Here's two of my favorites.
"Oh Mother Earth" by the Laurie Star Duo (close friends of my family)
Oh Mother Earth, who knows more about the blues? You are raped and trampled, Beaten and abused Oh Sacred Wilderness, Forever Man has scarred Cut and burned you, sold in chains As priceless as you are.
I am just one voice alone, born of mother earth One voice raised in sadness to your slow and mournful death Singing in the darkness, praying for the light If I could trade my life for your's I'd surely die tonight.
Oh precious Ocean, Island and the reef Gentle swimming Dolphins, will you ever know releif? Miles and miles of nets and poisons left to drift at sea Oh precious ocean, I feel your misery.
And oh to the children, so simple and so pure, Left to live a life of greed, like their father's led before Will they know the eagle? Know the owl in the wild? Nature's hidden promise to the sad and simple child.
Oh mother earth, who knows more about the blues? You are raped and trampled, beaten and abused Oh sacred wilderness, forever man has scarred Cut and burned you, sold in chains As priceless as you are.
I am just one voice alone, born of mother earth One voiced raised in sadness of your slow and mournful death Singing in the darkness, praying for the light If I could trade my life for yours I'd surely die tonight.
"Barefoot Boy" by Harry Chapin (Yes, I like old music. Leave me alone)
Oh, barefoot boy Once he came unto a land Forests and the streams that tumbled Through the river, to the sea He called it home for many worries wandered And he learned to live upon the land taking only what he needed.
Barefoot boy! He don't like your concrete And he seeks the country any way he can Barefoot boy! He's fading down your street and you know he'll never come this way again
And time passes on In this life of always changing People coming building cities Cut your forests, pave your highways Oh barefoot boy, He wraps his blanket 'round his shoulders Says goodbye, to Mister Mountain And once more he sets off to wander
Barefoot Boy! He don't like your concrete And he seeks the country any way he can Barefoot Boy! He's fading down your street Yes you know he'll never come this way again.
Sorry, couldn't resist, two of my favorite songs in THE WORLD! Both artists have some absolutely gorgeous songs with a lot of meaning behind the lyrics.

Mortum - The Druid Ceremony Lyrics
Hear the whispers in the mind see the leaves falling from the trees winter's not far away now nature dies of massing cries
The druids of death is chanting Their charms of ancient magic To summon the past As lightning strikes from the cloudless sky A ring of fire has been drawn The circle of protection's complete This ritual has begun Invocation of the elements is made
As the rain starts falling to the ground and both fire and wind appear all around Now the real task is to be performed To summon the serpent... of the infernal sea
From where the dwells in the deepest abyss Leviathan come to me
Under the moon the ritual ends As the sun is rising, about to hit this glade The silence is everywhere around The birds don't sing their songs of joy Not even the wind whispers here anymore Trace of emptiness is left behind The druids have all disappeared And so has their altar of sacred stone
Druids worshipped nature. ^_^

AWESOME songs, everyone! Also awesome is this Chinese song I know, and translated it's roughly:
High, high fertile mountains Winding waters Blue, blue, blue sky Clouds bunched up Green, green forest Twisting wind And happy animals
High, high fertile mountains Winding waters Blue, blue, blue sky Clouds bunched up Green, green forest Twisting wind I love nature.

Heres a song I really like its by Josh Gorban You Raise Me Up When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary; When troubles come and my heart burdened be; Then, I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. There is no life - no life without its hunger; Each restless heart beats so imperfectly; But when you come and I am filled with wonder, Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. http://www.redsal.com/joshgroban/youraise.htm

This is a beautiful song by the Levellers
Maid of the River
She's the maid of the river So beautifully plain As fresh as the country That gave her her name As crisp as the snow And as swift as the rain She shone like the sun Before all of our games She shone like a jewel But her price was not gold She cried more than most When her story was told But her people were evil Left her baron and cold And her heart went to market Where her body was sold
I said hey hey won't you take me away Because I can't see the point In the dawn of the day When so many killers gonna take you away And leave little left except hatred
She's the goddess of love The goddess in green The goddess of all That I've ever seen Goddess of hope The goddess in brown The goddess of all That you've burned to the ground
As fresh as the country That gave her her name As crisp as the snow And as swift as the rain She shone like the sun Before all of our games She shone like a jewel But her price was not gold She cried more than most When her story was told But her people were evil Left her baron and cold And her heart went to market Where her body was sold
I said hey hey won't you take me away Because I can't see the point In the dawn of the day When so many killers gonna take you away And leave little left except hatred
There's all kind of hatred Flows out of man's hands There's the hatred that strangles The throat of a man But the worst of all hatred Is that which is planned Against what we have In this goddess of land
I said hey hey won't you take me away Because I can't see the point In the dawn of the day When so many killers gonna take you away And leave little left except hatred

"Cows with Guns" is a real "fight-back!" song. I love it. I'll try to find the lyrics...
We will fight for bovine freedom...and hold our large heads high... We will run free with the buffallo or die!!! Cows with guns...
I love it!

Ok so everyone is posting a song and I would like you guys to review this one. "Narrowing of Life's Stream" By Transitional Feedback Written by David James Miller The buildings go up, and the come down The men who built them are running around It was meant to be Nature supersedes The engine we made produces a poison Warming temperatures, our queen's warning How much is too much? I guess we'll see The information we teach is different than the lessons we learn And the shadows we cast are different than our reflection in turn And the human soul blinks But takes the wrong path again... The caring we give is the same as the forset we take And the hand we lend is the same as the hand that's fake The human soul thinks, it has taken the right path again... The currency we use doesn't give asylum The poor stay poor, and the rich get richer When will it end? So nature can start again The blood of the earth gets drained and sold Living is raised, lies are told Will we survive? Nature can provide http://www.myspace.com/transitionalfeedback
