The writer Name:'Izzy' Jo Maxwell Age: 29 (fo reals) Gender:Female Physical description:She has jet black hair, cut in a wild pixie style, green eyes. She's average height, about 5' 2" and just a tiny bit on the heavy side. Her nose is splattered with freckles, and her face is rather round, and has somewhat pale skin. Personality:'Quirky' would be a word to describe her. She tends to dress smart- think New York & Company, and the Limited, and her face always has an energetic smile on it. She has several good friends, and is easy to talk to, even if you don't know her that well. History/background:Izzy was raised by a single mother, her father who knows where. Her mother Laura, worked hard to make sure her daughter had a good life, and thanks to her hard work, Izzy grew up well. Izzy was always a sociable, friendly person, and did fairly well in school. She wasn't very athletic, but was active with the yearbook committee and the school newspaper. She was accepted into a good school, and decided to go with an English major, and continued writing for her school's newspaper throughout her four years there. Izzy graduated with honors, and quickly landed a job as a journalist for a popular newspaper in a large city. Her energetic and unique outlook has made her one of the most popular columnists in the region, and over the past six years she has only grown in popularity. Why they applied:For a long time, Izzy has only written about her views on things that have happened, or her opinions. Not to say she has grown bored, but something new is in order. In her spare time, she began writing short stories, mostly for her own benefit. Over and over she wrote about a particular elf, and fell so in love with the character that she made the choice to begin writing a novel. Being her first attempt at such, she decided that what better way to improve her skills and learn new writing techniques than to attend a workshop from a master of such things?

The character Name: Lunel Siorinne Age: 650 (ish) Gender: Female Species: Angel- Seraph Physical description: Lunel is pretty short, only standing around 4' 10"- a severe childhood sickness stunted her growth significantly. Because of the illness, she also has a very slender build. At a glance she appears weak, almost sickly, but stands with an unmistakable air of confidence. Still, her constitution is rather weak, and she relies on her great speed and agility to end fights quickly. Her hair is a beautiful auburn color, and it reaches her mid back- straight with a gentle curl at the ends. It is often tied back into a ponytail. Her eyes are a soft gray, and it is obvious by looking into them that she has seen much in her years. While in her human form, she wears a pair of thin framed glasses, mostly for reading. Lunel's outfits are usually pretty simple, yet still having a distinctive flair to them. A spaghetti strap cami is an essential for all of her outfits, whether she layers over them or not, as they allow her to retain some semblance of modesty, should she have to revert to her angelic form in a rush. A denim jacket is a favorite accessory, along with jeans and converse all-stars of varying colors. Around her neck she wears a silver chain with what appears to be a small silver feather- a final gift from a long deceased friend. Depending on her mood and how closely one looks, several faint scars can be seen all over her body- especially along her shoulder blades. Her angel form is more or less the same as her human appearance, with the exception of a pair of white wings. She can take on a six-winged seraph form as well, but has only done so a few times in her life, only in the most dire of circumstances, and never without friends nearby to support her. She is only able to remain in the form for a few moments, and even that leaves her helpless for days afterwards. Her angelic forms come with an ancient blessed weapon that she is able to summon and dismiss at will. A staff called the Apostle's Tear. It appears in her basic angelic form as a silver staff, with a seemingly free floating orb atop it that appears to be made of mercury. In her seraph form, the staff appears to be made out of pure white light, with the orb remaining at the top. Personality:Lunel goes through many attitude changes in her life, adjusting to whatever helps her through her current situation. In her homeland, there are three basic races of angel. Highest being Seraphim, then Cherubim, then the normal race. Of the ten Seraph families, she was born into one of the top three. Partially. She was born from the head of that family, and a mistress of low rank. When it was discovered that the mistress was with child, the original plan was to send her and the baby away, but Lunel's father's wife committed suicide when she learned what had happened. Not wanting to be without an heir, he kept the child, and her mother was 'kept quiet'. Lunel has no real memory of her. From the time she was born until her early teenage years, she was constantly sick, coming within inches of death more than once. Having few opportunities to run and play like a child should, as she grew up and grew stronger, she was often bitter and rebellious, this attitude stuck with her well into her adult life.

The Story:Eternal Reminiscence -Pre story background, kind of a prequel type deal- Lunel spent several centuries working with a renowned scientist by the name of Janus Dakkon on what was known as "The Haven Project", which was to study how memories affected a persons personality and very soul. Dakkon's methods were eventually deemed unethical and he was disgraced, as was Lunel via 'guilty by association' though her main purpose was to observe. She is exiled from her home, and lives among humans for fifty years or so before she is contacted by a childhood friend who tells her that a disease has spread throughout almost the entire population of angels, leaving only a few survivors, and that the victims have risen as 'shadowy' beings' that the survivors have since begun calling Voids. Lunel returns home with him, and along with some others (seven total; Lunel, Morgan, Maynard, Ezra, Nathan, Issac, and Lotus), it's discovered that Dakkon is behind the plague. After a series of events, the group is separated, and Lunel and Lotus find themselves in a dire situation. They manage to escape, but Lotus is mortally wounded. He tells her that the cause is hopeless, and to leave the realm and go into hiding. She waits with him until he passes, and burns his corpse so he wouldn't be affected by the plague. The necklace she wears once belonged to him. The silver feather is more or less a badge denoting high rank and honor within angelic society. She doesn't wear it as such, but as a memorial to him, whom she loved and treated as an elder brother.

The story part 2- Key plot points for what Izzy wrote in the workshop
Lunel flees the Angelic Realm and finds herself in Hiast. Fortunately for her, it appears to be an easy place to blend in, and she lays low- keeping to a human form much of the time.
At one point in time she was a hard to get along with person, but people let her get away with it for the most part, because of her family background. Upon being on her own, she quickly realizes that being a brat won't fly.
Slowly she realizes that the world doesn't exactly revolve around her, and begins to soften up and eventually (gasp) be nice to people.
An opportunity presents itself for her to really be a help to the fishing village she has settled herself in when a ship of pirates intends to dock there for the season, and begins to wreak havoc amongst the quiet villagers. She leads a small group of them to sabotage them and drive them out, revealing that she isn't quite human in the process. A village elder recognizes her for what she is, and tells her that there is rumored to be a tribe of 'winged ones' living far to the south, and encourages her (in a friendly way!) to find her own people.
After mulling it over for a few days she agrees, and leaves the village to head south.
From that point on, it becomes a journey of self discovery, side plots, and daring adventures that will probably get more detail later.
