i have 6 mule acounts and i use them all to get lots of gold ^^ That violates the Gaia ToS. You can have more than one account so long as you don't have them for the sole purpose of botting. For example, I have a male mule that I keep for male-cosplays in the Avatar Arena. But I don't log on to it every day and I don't use it to get more gold (he's really more of a chore).

Where did she say she botted?
I've this account, my mule that makes a good bit of gold via Booty grab and my zOMG mule that also makes a decent amount of gold. You can make a lot of gold on various accounts so long as you aren't breaking the TOS. But you are allowed to have as many mules as you want. I've spoken to people that have over 50 mules. And that's allowed. I could log onto all my mules every single day to make as much gold as I want and that's fine.

The mule/TOS debate is something I wish would be cleared up. You know, because doing something all for one account is supposedly against the rules, but what would be the point of mules then?
Anyway I just created mule last week or so for the purpose of hoarding. mrgreen

With the whole thing about mules to make money, I believe they mean that if you use it to profit only your main account, like when you get money on the mule and you transfer all of it to your main, I believe that's what they meant. So, if you SOLELY use it to profit your main account, they have the right to close it down... or am I wrong? or did that make sense?
I have 2.5... My husband's account (might as well be my mule... thus the .5), One for Aquarium related stuff, and another as a back up account/stock room. I trade and gift between accounts all the time... so you can have as many as you want, just as long as they have a purpose that's not to give all their money or items to the main account............ or something like that....

I have like 7 mules
1 is where I hoard all my event items and all that
The others are just for fun I guess.
And I, too, am unsure about the whole mule thing. I try not to log onto all of them everyday to collect daily chance and overseer stuff... (mostly because it's annoying to go through each one) and when i collect gold and stuff on them I keep it on them for about a month or more before transferring it to my account.

i have three avatars, this one Lash_Devore and Illiandra_Thorne.. i can't really consider any of them mules.. though Lash was my original.. I created this one because i wanted a male avi, and Illy originally belonged to a friend of mine who didn't care for gaia anymore and gave her to me. i spend the most time and effort on Lash and all three share gold when i want something, but i don't use them for the sole purpose of gaining gold for Lash..

How could operating a mule be considered botting? There's nothing automated and/or scripted about it. As long as I'm doing everything "by hand" it can't violate Gaia's botting rules. It might violate some other rule. I've read the ToS but haven't truly studied it or anything, so I'm no expert on such things, but botting? How?

Yup, as long as you aren't doing anything against the ToS, such as actually botting gold, then it's just fine having mules.

Nothing wrong with mules as been said as long there is no botting or selling for real money all is cool.
I have 2, but I don't use them for anything these days.
