1. What the heck is this guild, anyway? Leviathan is an evolving roleplaying guild with opportunity to immerse yourself in engrossing stories, have compelling fights with other characters, character development, etc. once you have joined. Here is the old thread.
"Evolving" roleplaying means that every one who is a member of this guild has put some serious effort and work into their character. They aren't here just for the run-of-the-mill fights, but here as a means to grow their character out.
What makes us different from Barton Town? Well, even though a lot of people join, only the more dedicated RPers end up posting. For some reason it is just too much trouble for people to visit their guilds, this one included, if they aren't really interested in the subject. Also, I and other moderators of the guild can make stickies and lock threads on a whim. People are pretty (ok, usually) respectful here and there are a good number of advanced/experienced RPers that call this place "home".

2. I've joined, what now?
Read This Sticky: This welcome Announcement is a good place to become informed of what this guild is basically about. This will also serve as an area to inform players of ongoing story-lines, events, announcements as well as the location of the Guild rules.
Post: Some ideas to get you posting:
Make a Character Sheet in the Character Database thread in this sub-forum. It is required to participate in Stadium fights. Start to role-play- don't see an RP you like? Start one! You might want to:
Send out feelers: who would you like to rp with? what do you want to do? Ask for players in the OOC Lounge. Start a One-on-One RP.
Introduce yourself in the Lounge. Post in existing locations. Ask/answer a question in the Lounge. You don't have to be here forever before people will listen to you. Create your own location. Create your own story-line.

3. Rules?
Global Rules Global rules apply to all threads unless otherwise noted.
1. Do not upload, post, discuss, or link to, anything that violates the Gaia ToS. This will be severely punished and strictly enforced.
2. Do not post the following: trolls, flames, uncalled for catchphrases, rants, indecipherable text (meaning "lol u tk him 2da bar|?"). Shitty posts don't make a good guild.
3. Remember: Leviathan is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right to delete content and remove users for any reason at any time.
4. Posts should be as "quality" as possible. Interpret this as you will.
5. Threads should remain on topic and stay in theme with the topic (sub-topics). Don't post errant material.
6. The posting of personal information is discouraged. In addition, blatant advertisement is not welcome.
7. Threads should not devolve into flamewar. Constructive criticisms are both allowed and welcomed. Inciting or encouraging such activity will not be tolerated.
8. Skills do matter. However skills alone will not guarantee your immediate admission to the Guild. Crew have the right not to accept certain "pledges" without any explanation.
9. When quoting, keep your posts to a maximum of ONE quote. We don't want the pages cluttered with meaningless past posts.
Member Lounge On Posting Threads Feel free to make a new thread for any OOC topic discussion (birthdays, new video games, advertisement for guild happenings [or outside events, with mod approval], etc.). However, it is expected that you remain on topic within the thread, otherwise it will be subject to deletion. Such threads will usually be deleted once they've outlived their use during Lounge clean-ups.
OOC Lounge This thread is an attempt to create a repository for all things Leviathan in nature and spirit. This room is for posting links, and other random stuff. It is also a place to come and discuss life, the universe, and whatever else.
1. Keep things relatively under control. No excessive spamming, flooding, or harassment.
2. Global rules apply, basically: don't break 'em.
3. Crew has discretion to place whom they want on an ignore list, if they feel said user has broken the rules, is being a problem, etc. Don't piss them off, you will get blocked from Levi content.
4. If you break these rules you will be put on a ignore list and/or banned.
5. Have fun on Internet.
Who's Who of Leviathan
1. Keep the images quality. As always, quality is better than quantity.
2. Only post pictures you have taken. The only exception is the posting of extremely good photographs that you feel warrant posting.
3. Nudity is not allowed.
4. Please limit discussion to that of the pictures, also limit comment redundancy and needless chatter.
Dispute Thread
1. The place to take any arguments you might have with another member in the OOC Lounge.
2. This thread exists for the relocation of conflicts so that the Lounge remains unaffected, thus preventing other members for (un)willingly being drawn into said situations. This is not an excuse for hateful comments or flaming. Keep it civil.
3. As always, if a conflict gets out of hand -contact a moderator-, they exist to settle these disputes.
Suggestion Box
1. This is meant for the discussion of the guild, ideas, complaints, etc. and nothing else.
2. If you post something inflammatory or stupid, prepare to have it deleted. If you continue, you'll be banned.
Storylines
1. A place to post updates on your current roleplay storyline within the guild, either as a reminder, or to give other members an idea of what you and your friends are doing in case they want to join in.
2. No posts other than storyline updates, and OOC discussion about them, you have the OOC Lounge for any chitchat.
Leviathan's Library
1. User-written story/short story are to be submitted for critiquing. Do not submit work that you have not personally written or contributed to. 2. Only constructive criticism will be accepted. Rude or offensive comments will result in a ban.
Propaganda Board
1. Post weird/gross/funny things you found on the internet. Macros, YouTube links, etc.
2. As always, Gaia ToS, Copyright Law, PG-13, don't be dumb.
Welcome to the Leviathan On Posting Threads This is our bulletin board. Threads here should only be made as long-term notices; OOC or IC happenings that affect the entire guild, a record of certain guild-related projects, or collection of information you think would be beneficial to other people's roleplaying experience.
Character Database
1. For posting your character bio, a requirement to participate in fights in the Leviathan Stadium RP thread (you can fight and roam around all other areas freely).
2. No discussion, spam, anything that isn't a bio.
Beastiary
1. Post details on different creatures or races that you've come up with for people to browse. Same idea as the Bounty Board, follow the thread's guidelines for posting beast information, and no spam or discussion.
Guild Roleplaying General
Only make meaningful replies. Useless comments will be deleted. Trolls will result in banning. Don't like the roleplaying? Ignore it, or report it if it breaks the rules.
Leviathan Stadium
1. Fight types:
Hand-to-Hand: Strictly using two arms, two legs. No wings, tails, weapons, powers, anything if it can possibly be held back/taken off. More or less 'as humans do'. Unarmed Melee: Same as hand-to-hand, except if they have extra appendages, tails or so, they are welcome to use them, so long as there are no powers or weapons involved, and things such as claws and spines are not used as weapons. Weapons Match: Anything, as long as there are no powers used. Powers Match: Same as Unarmed Melee, though powers are allowed, but not weapons. Full-On: Anything goes.
2. Match Types:
Spar: Two opponents fight until a given conditional is reached. Attacks are not meant to injure the opponent, simply to 'score a hit'. First Blood: Two opponents fight until one bleeds. Typically this would go with a Weapons Match. Battle: Two opponents fight until one is injured enough to consider it a win by consent, submission, or a judge call. This is the standard tournament fare. Death-Match: Two opponents fight until one is rendered unconcious, unable to fight, submits, or is killed. A judge call can also end it.
Example: -Hand-to-Hand Spar -First Blood Weapons Match -Unarmed Melee Battle
If you are given a warning on a subject, failure to comply may result in a temporary ban of at least 24 hours. 3 temporary bans result in a permanent ban.
Chris Custard - 1 warning

5. Guild Navigation Due to subforums, threads are spread out in different areas. For new members, this should help in navigating through the guild.
The main forum and sectors, or Roleplaying Forums contains all roleplaying threads, relatively simple. The main forum is considered 'central' world, where all other locations are placed in their respective locations in accordance to the central area.
The Welcome to Leviathan subforum contains all threads regarding rules, character profiles, and other information regarding roleplaying at Leviathan Stadium. New members as well as old members are recommended to go here and read the articles posted, such as guild announcements or new developments.
The Members Lounge subforum is where everything that does not involve roleplaying go. The OOC lobby found here is highly used for discussions between members, introductions, general chatting, and picking fights.

6. Expanding Gaia As the amount of Gaian's grows, so does the size of Gaia itself. Here are a few guidelines and base rules for creating your own thread, and or location on Gaia. First - Follow the thread creation guidelines as listed below. Name of Location.
DESCRIPTION - LOCATION - PEOPLE - CLIMATE FLORA - FAUNA - RESOURCES - MYTH/LORE Fill out each applicable category, the more detail the better. Research may be necessary to determine the smaller details. Then contact a moderator. This step is very important, threads that are posted without being given an ok, will be deleted. As a special note, if your thread is inactive for over 30 days it will move to the inactive section. When your ready to resume using it, a PM to a moderators will get it retrieved for you.
