Yesterday, purple picked up some old sega genesis games.
That's right! We now have... Mortal Kombat (and) Sonic the Hedgehog.
The first ones too, not any of the sequels.
They're fun. There's nothing like nostalga for old 16-bit graphic game consols. ~sigh~ O, the memories.
LOL

I've got MK for the SNES. It's always been one of my favorites. ♥

I'm not really into 2-d fighters, but I thought it would be fun for nostalgia's sake just to have it around. whee Sonic is cute, tho.
By the way, dude, you spelled "combat" right, but it's misspelled in the title of the game - "kombat". xd

Oops! My bad.
Tis fixed now.
I've always been good at 2D fighters. One of my favorate computer games is a 2D fighter. It's called WinMugen. (you get to add almost any character from almost any anime you want) If you can find it.

I didn't really get into videogames until the N64 came out (not to say I didn't have any, DOOM and DOOM II was awsome back in the day) but I did have the original sonic (at least I think it was the original, too many damn remakes and sequels *shakes fist*) on my computer

Sonic's first appearance in "Sonic 1" was on the "Mega Drive" Console in 1991...

Oops! My bad...
I read it wrong. (all fixed now)
Thanks for correcting me. If there's one thing I like to be accurate about, it's gaming history.

I've always preferred 2d style games over any others. The old original Mario games were my favorite. I rarely play games since I can't stand the 3D aspect of them.

Pity, there are some really good 3d games out there. Like , kingdom hearts, devil may cry, tomb raider, kya, ghost in the shell, oni.
ALSO... I finished Mortal Kombat. It took me 2 days of gameplay. (not counting the day in between that I didn't play at all)
One day to learn the controls, and pick the character that best matched my fighting style. And the second day to play and win the game.

You hated tomb raider? That seems almost impossible. I loved it, one of the best games ever. (now it's like... a classic) Which system was the one you played on?
MK1 isn't that hard. I'm betting that they get harder with each game release.
