I Am Legend[1954] by Richard Matheson , a book which without a doubt was influential on the developing modern vampire genre.
It is a pretty impressive book, and quite short so I suggest you read it.
I got my sister to read it and to my shock and disgust she preferred Twilight. D:>
So, I've decided that I will read the whole twilight crap to prove to myself its not better than IAL
Has anyone else read IAL?

Half of it. -_-;; Then my brother accidentally fell in the lake with it in his pocket. What I read of it was awesome, though.

I saw it in a bookstore, before I had even seen the movie.
I wanted to buy it, but I had forgotten my wallet.
Then I bought the Will Smith movie, and I never thought about the book again.
But if it's really good, I think I'll read it.
If it's even half as good as the Will Smith movie, it wil be very good.

Marching Band no Jutsu I saw it in a bookstore, before I had even seen the movie. I wanted to buy it, but I had forgotten my wallet. Then I bought the Will Smith movie, and I never thought about the book again. But if it's really good, I think I'll read it. If it's even half as good as the Will Smith movie, it wil be very good. I haven't seen the movie. The book is worth the read, most people consider it the best vampire novel since Dracula You don't need to buy it. I read I Am Legend, I didn't like it because of how slow it was but I still preferred reading it rather than Twilight.
