“Price to Play” by Stand began to play in the arena as a video package of the feud between Mike Landry and Jed aired on the Titantron.

Failed to see,
How destructive we can be.
Taking without giving back,
'Til the damage can be seen,
Can you see?
Can you see?

The Tron showed Mike Landry and Jed in their first ever match in Twisted Flow, ending with Mike slamming Jed face first into his trash can after Jed jumped over the top rope. After it displayed the tag team match where Mike beat down on Jed ruthlessly, then all the sudden attacked his tag team partner The Monitor.

The more you take,
The more you blame,
But everything still feels the same.
The more you hurt,
The more you strain,
The price you pay to play the game,
Then all you see,
And all you gain,
And all you step on with no shame,
There are no rules,
No one to blame,
The price tou pay to play the game.

During the intense chorus played footage of Jed and Mike tag teaming against Ryuu Sakamoto and Chris Morgan, where if they won they would fight each other for the WWE:E Championship. Mike taking the big risk and crashing after trying for his Suicide Overcastle. Jed being stopped cold by Ryuu Sakamoto with his Swinging Neckbreaker. The brief moment of cohesion when they hit a double team move on Chris Morgan. Mike getting leveled by the SAIKYOU kick from Sakamoto. Mike saving Jed from the SAIKYOU high kick by pulling down the rope. With Sakamoto out of the match Jed picked up the win against Morgan with a JKO and they stared each other down in the ring.

Apathy, the chosen way to be,
Blindly look the other way,
While you waste away with me,
Can you see?
Can you see?

Footage of Mike thinking back to his first match with Jed in his locker room, preparing for his imminent title match against him. Showing Jed gearing up in his own locker room, looking as focused as ever.

The more you take,
The more you blame,
But everything still feels the same.
The more you hurt,
The more you strain,
The price you pay to play the game,
Then all you see,
And all you gain,
And all you step on with no shame,
There are no rules,
No one to blame,
The price you pay to play the game.

The two warriors square off once again in the squared circle, this time in WWE:E for the World Championship. Both men met each other move for move in the opening minutes of the match. Jed took supreme focus on Mike’s right knee, dropkicking it over and over again, leg dropping it, torturing it throughout the entire match. Mike came back with a Shining Wizard, a Slingshot Leg drop on the outside of the ring, and the RibCage Buster! Jed proved to be determined, hitting even more leg drops to Mike’s bad knee and dropkicks. Jed goes up top and tries for a Crossbody but is caught by the Hurrislam! Jed recovered first and tossed Mike to the outside where his right knee clearly buckled, and after Jed locked in his Texas Clover Leaf, forcing Mike to tap out to save his leg.

What you pay to play the game,
What you pay to play the game,
What you pay to play the game,
What you pay to play the game.

Mike sits backstage with an intense look on his face after losing the first title match in WWE:E. He had never ever defeated Jed and it ate away at him. Jed walked confidently with his newly won championship on his shoulder. A rematch was scheduled for the pay per view, and the real fight was on.

The more you take,
The more you blame,
But everything still feels the same.
The more you hurt,
The more you strain,
The price you pay to play the game,
Then all you see,
And all you gain,
And all you step on with no shame,
There are no rules,
No one to blame,
The price you pay to play the game.

The last title match between the two in WWE:E, the Falls Count Anywhere match, started off with a bang as Mike hit his Suicide Overcastle from the ring and forcing them to crash and burn into the audience. Jed responded by hitting a Crossbody on Mike forcing him to fall into chairs in the crowd. Mike put Jed and a catering cart and sent him straight through a door backstage. Jed hit him back with a wine bottle to the face. Mike tried to rush Jed into the cage but only succeeded in crashing into it himself. Mike retaliated by throwing Jed through a glass office window. They fought back onto the stage where a ladder was waiting, they fought up it and Jed took them both down with a Russian Leg Sweep and they both his the steel stage. Mike and Jed got up again and Jed plowed them both through the stage wall with a double leg takedown! Mike and Jed found themselves atop the stage and climbing across to the scaffolding. Jed slipped and hung by the edge of the scaffolding. Mike ran forward and took a gigantic leap, executing a deadly Sunset Flip Powerbomb which sent both men crashing into a set of tables below. The referee counted and declared Mike the winner. Finally, Mike’s very first win over Jed, but at what price?

What you pay to play the game,
Jed stood in his locker room taking unmarked pills, preparing physically for another showdown.
What you pay to play the game,
Mike took a long drink out of a bottle of beer, mentally preparing for another brutal war and turning to kiss his girlfriend Ashley on her lips.
What you pay to play the game,
Jed stood in the ring staring at the stage where Mike stood staring back.
What you pay to play the game.
The screen faded to black…
