User Image
Zanpacto: Name: Kidorui Genso (?????) (Rare Earth Elements)
Normal form: Standard Katana appearance. Gold wire wrapped around the hilt, silver sharkskin under the wire. Oval shaped tsuba, also gold colored, internal design is of a crane wrapped through and around the tsuba. Silver tassle off the back of the hilt.
User ImageUser Image
Shikai form: ACHIEVED "Erupt, Kidorui Genso!" Chinesse TaiChi sword is the closest form. It is straight bladed, double edged and extremely flexable. The tassle has changed into a weighted chain to throw and entangle the enemy. The guard has shrunk so that it is flush on the flat of the blade, larger on the edges.
User Image

Bankai: ACHIEVEDThe sword grows a long handle, with the blade increasing in width and heaviness becomming a Naganata, heavy and hard striking. It is also sharpened on the back side of the blade, but the main cutting surface is the outter curve. User Image
User Image

Special Accessories: The Mask. It hides his features for some reason. No one really knows why.
User ImageGigai and Artificial Soul: He has an artificial soul to use his gegai when he is on Earth. His Artificial Soul's name is Kimi and she acts like a 12 year old girl. She's obsessed with cute things, squeals a lot and tends to be a bit airheaded. Daven tolerates her because she tends to find a place to hide and then stays there when fighting is breaking out, which is the point of him using her.

Skills: Martial Arts. Bwtween his constant practice with his Kidorui Genso and his empty handed practice, his work with a bow and his practice with his dual whips, there are very few that come close to his mastery of fighting styles. He has traveled to other countries and places to learn the fighting styles of those places. He can fight in the Capoera style as well as Savatte, from Tai Chi to straight Karate. While he may not be a master of any one style, he can mix these to a point that confuses other martial artists.

Abilities: He is inherantly a fast learner. He can pick up a language foreign to him in a relatively short time (a matter of days to functioning language skills, months to full fluency). He has strong afinity to magicks, in the four elements and Kitsune specific magick.

Personality: Serious and sober, quiet and reserved, centered all the time, he can be seen as very humorless and cruel. He has a very soft spot for children, and unless they are a direct threat to him, he won't strike them to kill, not even in accident. Mostly he is stoic, taking hits that would seriously injure others wihtout reaction. He has a talent of being able to slip into places where there are many people who don't notice him for some reason. He blends into the background and until he steps forward and starts interacting, mostly he's ignored. It can be bad when he's in a depressed mode, but mostly it's a huge asset in recon and sneak attacks.

Biography/History: Born five millenia ago into the Kitsune Clan as a one tail, he went out of his way to learn everything he could while growing, with the ultimate aim to be hatamoto (Special Retainer) to the Lord of the Kitsune.

Since One Tailed Kitsune are very underpowered, he resolved to learn the Elements of Creation; Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Ice, Wood and Metal. Learning to master those took 2000 years, and mastering the magicks of the Kitsune, stealth and trickery, misdirection and silence took another thousand years.

After that point, he traveled. He had earned eight tails, one for each element and the magicks of the Kitsune. He was one short of reaching Nine-Tailed status, the highest a Kitsune could attain. He was skilled in everything a Kitsune could be, but there was still something missing. That lack of a tail irritated him.

So he left Kitsune society to adventure and extend his abilities. He wanted to understand the societies of others, to know what the Dragons were like, why the Toads interfered in Human life.

And he did learn. He was a loyal warrior and none that met him could say that he was anything other than respectful and disciplined. But while he was offered a permanent position many times, restlessness still drove him. He saw abuses by others, people taking advantage of each other and other rases.

Then in his 3350th year, he found the Samuari culture of Medevial Japan.

He studied them from a distance, quietly, as a woman servant in their employ. He watched how they were very restricted in their life, how their actions were totally and completely constrained in their actions by their honor, and he didn't understand that.

Honor wasn't a concept the Kitsune had much familiarity with. Most often promises would be made and broken almost as fast, simply because those promises were not important, they were a means to the end. But for the first time he started seeing the consequences of those broken promises. And he understood why keeping those promises were important.

User ImageSo again he worked. He found a mercenary group to join, a set of ronin who were dedicated to training themselves and others to a pinacle of perfection. He started out in the Combat arm, the area he was most proficient at, but eventually the killing got old. He was good enough that there was little challenge taking on one or two enemies and defeating them, and taking on more by himself could have harmed those who were not involved in the fight.

The first time he stepped in front of a ronin who was trying to take over a village and kicked the ever lovin' s**t out of him, it felt right, absolutely perfect. In his meditations that night, he discovered that he wanted to keep others safe from the ravages of those who would take advantage of them. Standing at the gate and keeping those behind him safe, THAT was important.

And when he fell down, off balance, when he finished his meditations, he realized that he had his last tail.

He has been doing this job for nearly a millenia at this point. It is his life, and it stretches his abilities to defend those who might not want to be protected by him. But it doesn't matter to him. A fight is a good fight if it saves others from death.

But it was still unsatisfying. Beating on those humans who were out to enslave and hurt other humans was fun for some time, but it paled after a while, they died so easly after all. He kept going, but started seeing Hollow around him. Those spirits of the dead called to him to ask him to save them, and he actively started doing so when he defended a dead comrade from a Hollow who was out to destroy that soul.

That is what brought him into contact with the Soul Society. He decided to travel (as a ladybug on the Soul Reaper's gi) to the Soul Society. He observed the society itself, how it was structured, the different squads. He even traveled out into the Districts and started observing those people, attracting little notice to himself. After a time, he presented himself at one of the gates to be admitted into the Seretei.

He is now learning the things he needs to learn in the Society. Once he passed the basic methods of the Destructive Arts and other such magicks, learning how to control his spirit pressure, he excelled and brought notice to himself through his martial skills. His mask and tails were ignored as minor excentricities due to the fact that he was such an excellent fighter.

In one practice against a Hollow, which was supposed to be a minor Hollow, a Menos Grande came to the bait instead. Daven was the only Soul Reaper who was near enough do anything, and at this point he accidentally summoned his Shikai form. The strike against the Menos that destroyed a significant portion of the surronding land shocked him totally. The human officials passed it off to a small meteor strike.

Comprehensive list of powers:

Base Theme: Kenetic manipulation

Avatar: A mountain that manifests looking like Mount Fuji
User ImageUser Image

Shikai: kinetic multiplication in downward strikes, binding with the chain and ball from the other end, kinetic strikes downward with the same ball.

Kiri Kuzusu! "To Split A Mountain" The Special Power is that it can actually split a mountain, but instead of being an energy wave that shoots like Ichigo's Crescent Moon Wave, it is focused on a point, where it is contacting the enemy. It hits and all the energy of the spirit pressure flows out and crushes the enemy, cleaving spirits, bone, matter, and all. At a full power strike, assuming the target survived, it would be driven into the ground better than 30 feet, with a resulting crater of about 60 feet in diameter. It can be controlled as to the amount of power. So far, it can only be used in a downward strike, either shoulder to groin or straight overhand. The fighting style with this form is very circular, very deceptive, capable of hitting from any direction on a whim. The entanglement weight can also cause the Kiri Kuzusu strike.

Earth Step: A technique that allows Daven to travel through the Earth to other locations. Not as fast as Shunpo.

"Slap balls": Just some balls made of clay that contain caltrops, ball bearings or a solid shot of metal. When kenetically increased, these can tear through targets. Daven keeps a supply in his pouch.

Shield: Attacks involving a physical object coming at me can be countered by imposing Kidorui Genso between it and me. Direct attacks only, not area of effect, and no help against electricity based attacks.

User Image

Bankai: kinetic multiplication in any direction, down, up, sweep, thrust, sideways, any strike ups to a factor of five. Able to "fire" balls from his pouch up to Mach 6 at opponents by using the bankai like a bat or a tennis racket.

In this form, the Kiri Kuzusu strike quintuples (at minimum) in power, and it is capable of destroying Mount Everest if it strikes. In this form instead of the Kiri Kuzusu strike can be used in ANY direction, thrust, throw, ground up, horizontal or even in blocking. The weighted chain disappears and becomes a tassel again but can be pulled out of the handle to recover the Naganata if necessary.

As part of this release, everything that has motion to it is in his control. He cannot control anything being physically manipulated by another person, so he could not take over their bodies or their weapons, but a scattered cloud of weapons like Kuchki's shikai release could be taken over by him.

He has to actually strike the object in question and transmit force from his weapon into the object he wishes to control.

Other items can be manipulated, such as the air. Two spinoffs of this power exist.

Air Bullet: A compressed wave of Air and Sound, fired at an opponent. When it strikes, the effect is as though the unprotected body of his opponent broke the sound barrier. Daven can increase this to be multiples of the sound barrier, meaning that it could be three times or four times the speed of sound. This strike is hard enough to shatter bones and break delicate tissues, like eardrums, eyes and sinus tissues.

http://fun-hunter.com/Pics/SoundBarrier/SoundBarrier001.jpg
http://z.about.com/d/urbanlegends/1/0/-/F/sound_barrier7sm.jpg

Whirlwind: By moving his naginata through the air and adding force to it, he can create a tornado and direct the damage. A variant of this allows him to send Earth at his opponent in speeds in excess of 1500 miles per hour. This essentially liquefies the ground and makes it as though it were a landslide or avalanche going in the direction he wishes it to go.

User ImageKitsune Heritage: Multiplicity and "false copies" of myself (maximum of 9 that are very short lived, less than one minute), remote puppet (only one) that can fight while "I" stay safe someplace else, able to hide in plain sight and able to confuse pursuit. Shape change to a full fox with nine tails (no additional play effects, just a "special effect" for story)

Kido: Mastered most kidos up to 80, developed on additional special kido

* 1. Restrain
* 4. Crawling Rope
* 8. Barrier
* 9. Hit
* 26. Kyakko - Conceals kido.

This is a unique kido of Daven Moto's creation.
* 73. Tozansho - Creates a cage-like shield that protects the objects inside the shield.

#7-Kogoeru-(To be chilled)- Is used for rising fever to control body temperature
#16-Nenshou Tentei (Burning God)-Creates a flow of reiatsu to sooth burns then repair them.
#62-Shukketsu Kokoro (Bleeding Heart)- Reiatsu soaks into the body and then enters any inner body part suffering from internal bleeding. Must be directly above the body part to execute.

Elemental mastery: Through several thousand years of practice and study, able to use the elements of nature, Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Wood, Ice, Metal through the medium of the elementals of that element, meaning petitioning and summoning creatures of those elements and asking them to do things for me. Understands the fundamental strengths and weaknesses of the various elements. This is for story only, not a combat skill

Squad Mastery: Hand to Hand combat combining kido and reiatsu strikes. Has developed his own version of "Flash Cry" in which his hands and feet can hit multiple times per second. This does not increase the damage dealt, just the amount of strikes he can put on the enemy.
Reverse Demon: he sends out a pulse of spiritual pressure that completely cancels and nullifies any other reiatsu based power. Can only be directed at one opponent at a time.

Captain Skills: Shunpo, Telepathy (through the Hell's Butterflies), Reiatsu power up to 970 or so (on a scale of 1000), deflection of reiatsu and kido based attacks that are less than 300 or so simply due to overwhelming reiatsu.

User ImageHis reiatsu color is a fox red.

Zaigou Powers:
Enhanced senses, including reiatsu sensing
Reido, an anti-cero beam that cancels out cero strikes.
-----Reido: A large beam of black energy is fired from the user hand or fingers. Can be used as a weapon and a way to negate the effects of Cero. Reido means zero in japanese so i find it works, since cero is zero in spainish.
Reido shield, by wrapping his Reido energy around him, he can shield himself from multiple cero blasts at once.

Watching was interesting, but it didn't make him any more proficient.

He went over to the store of practice dummies. He found one that he liked and set it up a good deal away from the others and cast his mind back to when he accidentally invoked his Shikai.

--------------------------------------------

It was the park. He was hunting Hollows in the Park at night with the rest of his class. They had split off to go after a few more Hollows and the instructors were not here.

He had been waiting for the other Reapers to drive a Hollow to him, to allow him to hit it and hit it hard.

As he watched, however, the air divided from the ground up. He watched as the air opened up and something stepped through. It was cloaked in black, and it had a white mask on. Obviously a Hollow.

He went after it as hard as he could. Swinging hard at it. He had to get its attention on him down here.

He slashed at its legs, he leapt up and hit is on its hips, all that happened is that it screamed. It just kept walking. So he jumped again and stabbed deep where a thigh would be. That caused the giant Hollow to move its robe in the area where a hand would be and to hit him, and he couldn't deflect it.

He sailed through the air and impacted a set of Monkey Bars. He destroyed the set. Those bars hitting his hips and back really freaking hurt, he probably broke something.

He sat up, and coughed up blood. He had blood running into his eyes and his vision was graying out. But there were a lot of houses that the Hollow was heading for, and he couldn't be allowed to reach it.

Despite the pain, despite the injuries, he stood again, he picked up his zanpakto, Kidorui Genso, and he started running as fast as he could. Maybe if he could get in front of the Hollow and hold it so that the others could get here...

He got to a very large area of the park, obviously used to fly kites or play sports, and lept again.

"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Binding Art Number 9; STRIKE!!!" he yelled as loud as he could.

The red light started shining around the Hollow, completely engulfing it. Daven rejoiced when he couldn't move forward anymore, and he could feel the Hollow straining against the Kido bindings placed on him, and Daven strained to keep them in place.

It was hopeless from the beginning. The bindings shattered and the Hollow kicked Daven aside easily as he continued to walk forward. Daven screamed in agony.

He picked himself back up and his head felt funny, he was distant from himself, he felt removed and like he was looking at everything through a haze. He blinked and it only got worse.

But the Hollow was still there. He couldn't let it keep moving forward.

He leapt, screaming the name of Kidorui Genso as he jumped. He struck downward as hard as he could. And something happened.

The zanpakto writhed in his hand, and a chain descended from the hilt, which shortened to a one handed grip. As Kidorui Genso struck, there was a flash of light and he could feel his reiatsu flow out of him. There was a sound that was like a ripping of the Earth, and the Hollow vanished under his blade.

When Daven landed on the ground, he could feel the reiatsu of his fellow Soul Reapers arrive. He opened his eyes and was laying on the ground in a huge crater.

"Oy," his instructor called from the top of the crater "are you okay?"

"I -- I think so," he said as he stood up.

His instructor jumped down into the crater and was next to him very soon. "We need to get you back to the Seireitei and get you looked at. I called a Captain to come take care of the Menos Grande. I don't know how you took it out."

"Menos what?"

"Menos Grande, it's to the Hollow as Captains are to us squad members. They are a whole different level of ability. I'm really impressed," he was draping his arm over his instructor's neck.

That's when Daven saw Kidorui Genso, which had turned into a Tai Chi sword with a long chain and weight on the end. Daven reached down and picked it up and a new energy flowed into him. Just having Kidorui Genso in his hand made him feel much better.

--------------------------------------------

He was told later that the crater was 20 feet deep and about 40 feet across. Apparently it was now being used as a lake in that park. And just to make sure, he went back and looked to see if there was a report of anything weird on that day, and nothing was reported except a small meteor strike in that park.

He was also told that because Kidorui Genso changed, that he managed to invoke his Shikai form.

So did he have to be injured? Fighting a Menos Grande? Yelling Kidorui Genso's name? Maybe in that strange state where everything felt like it was removed from reality?

Maybe he should ask Kidorui Genso itself.

Posted: Wed Sep 12, 2007 5:12 pm

He spent some time in contemplation of that night. And finally he sat down where he was, zanpakto in his lap, looking at the target.

He turned him mind inward as he did whenever he meditated. He looked inward, but this time instead of just looking inward at himself, he looked inward and outward at the same time.

He sought that elusive thread of red, the thread that he felt on that night months ago.

After a time of looking for it, he finally found that little ghost of a thread. He plucked at it and felt it's scent. He smelled the sight of it. He looked at the feel against the skin. And he started following that thread.

It took him many tries, many failed attempts to follow that thread. Others came and went around him, but they all kept clear of his little practice area. Time had no meaning to someone who neither ate nor slept nor needed to heal. He had all the time in the world to find and completely follow the thread.

Finding that thread wasn't the challenge. He could find it easily enough, but following it into the depths of his own soul and mind, to find where the thread met the thread of his zanpakto, THAT was the hard part.

But because he did it once, he knew it was there.

So he hept finding, losing and following that little thin ribbon of red.

And time ceased to have any meaning to him.

Posted: Wed Sep 12, 2007 11:26 pm

It felt like days.

He found the thread, he followed it, he kept swimming after that thread. It grew, became more significant, it turned into a ribbon. He knew he was close.

But the ribbon never stopped, it stretched for eternity where he was following, and it stretched forever behind him. All he could do was keep following it.

eventually it started thinning again, back down to a narrow ribbon, and even further.

He reversed his course and went the other way, but it didn't get thicker anymore, it kept getting thinner and thinner.

: No. : he thought. : No, it can't end like this. I can't lose it after all I went through to find this thread, it can't just dissapear! :

He kept tight hold on that thread, if he lost it, who knows if he could find it again. He was getting desperate.

: Please! Pease don't go from me Kidorui Genso, I need you! :

Imediately the thread thickened into a huge ribbon, and he felt a rush of power flow into him, and the ribbon started getting darker and darker, passing wine, into crimson, and still darker into red, and finally into a red so red that it was brown, the color of dried blood. He found himself looking at a wall of dirt. And that ribbon led right into the wall.

He stopped and looked at it. Why would the soul ribbon disappear into a wall of dirt?

An eye opened up just above and to the left of the ribbon. It was sideways, vertical instead of horizontal. And that eye looked at him. Next, after a bit of time, another eye opened below the first eye, also vertical.

And the hole that the ribbon flowed into split vertically and he heard a booming laugh.

"WHY ARE YOU FLOATING SIDEWAYS DAVEN? CAN'T YOU ORIENT YOURSELF BETTER THAN THAT?"

That's when Daven realized that he was badly oriented. If he rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise, he would be oriented correctly. : Man, astral space is a pain in the tails... :

"Yes, it is!" the mouth said. Except with two eyes, it wasn't a mouth so much as a face. And that face looked like a face he had been dreaming of for quite some time.

"Kidorui Genso?" he hazarded.

"YES! I've been waiting for you to call me for some time now." Daven landed near the mouth and looked at it. The gravity pulled him in such a way that he was now speaking to a cliff face, not a wall or a floor. "You have been working with me, using me and training with me for years, and this is the first time you consciously called my name. You called it naming me, called it by accident, called it when explaining me, but you never called it and asked for my help. But this time you did. And I'm very proud."

"Tell me what happened that time. How did I kill that giant Hollow?"

"That was mostly me. I did that. You needed my help, and there was no other way to do it. I took over and I called out the Kiri Kuzusu, the 'Split the Mountain' strike.

"And now that I have given you the key, YOU must unlock the door. It is in your hands now."

And with that, Daven found himself shoved HARD away from the face of the Mountain. He found himself flying flying flying back and he hit his body HARD.

He erupted from his keeling position, grasping for his zanpakto, so violently that he jumped 8 feet straight up in the air.

He fell and landed badly, slightly twisting his ankle.

He groaned. And he panted. He shook his head violently, trying to clear it.

After a few minutes of rest, he stood. He looked at his zanpakto in his hand. "Erupt, Kidorui Genso," he said quietly.

And his Kidorui Genso changed into that Tai-Chi sword, and he found the chain and weight in his other hand.

"Oh, wow."

Posted: Thu Sep 13, 2007 11:56 pm

He stood there. He held his released Kidorui Genso, and marveled at his looks. A beautiful sword, the handguard flattened on the sides so they were nearly flush with the blade and handguard. Straight as an arrow, edged on two sides, not just one. So now he could return a stroke in a backhand, not just on the forehand. Slightly shorter than his non-released form, but he had a good thrusting tip.

The biggest problem, as Daven could see it, was that it was going to be hard to wield with two hands. The grip had shrunk to a one handed grip. The mark to perform the Soul Burial was no longer on the end of the hilt, but on one side since the pommel was also thinner too.

Of course, his left hand would be very busy holding the chain and weight.

Just to see what would happen, he swung it several times around his head, and threw it at the target he set up, several feet out of range of the arc of the chain. It snaked out and wrapped around the neck of the target, and pulled tight. He jerked and the target came flying at him, which made it natural to stab with the sword as it was pulled in.

He disengaged the target and slung it back away from him. The target sailed off and landed, weights at the bottom pulling it upright without his interaction.

He realized that this was like the weighted end of a Kusari Gama, used to entangle strike, hold and pull people in.

He dropped the weight, and it shortened to just a few links and a weight, basically coiling up so it was out of the way.

He then started some standard sword dances out of Tai Chi that he learned quite some time ago. And Kidorui Genso started humming, a very quiet hum, a very steady hum, a hum heard more with the bones than with the ears.

And Daven could feel his reiatsu building. He was working with the sword, and it was increasing. He felt the murderous urge.

He danced through his routine, as if he had an opponent right in front of him, striking the head, arms, torso, legs, head, chest, with the edge, tip, guard and pommel. He tried throwing the sword while hanging on to the chain, and was able to accurately hit the target he set up, and retrieve his zanpakto quickly, then he tried using it as a knife on a chain, swinging Kidorui Genso around by the chain and letting it cut and slice instead of strike.

He tugged on the chain and Kidorui Genso was back in his hand.

He held it with the bade pointing down from the bottom of his fist. He tried casting the weight like a whip, and obedient to his will and desire, it snaked out and hit the target. He tried it from several different angles, sideways, underhanded, and when he struck in an overhand standard whip strike, the same explosion of reiatsu, destroying the target completely. And there was now a hole in the ground where there wasn't one.

"I can do the Kiri Kuzusu strike with the chain too? Why didn't it happen when I was stabbing, swinging and hitting?"

He thought for a few minutes. He then went over to another target and swung from the ground up. He said "Kiri Kuzusu!" and nothing happened.

Well that proves one part of the theory. He then swung horizontally left to right, right to left each time calling for the To Split A Mountain strike. Nothing.

Well, now for the REAL test.

He stepped back and prepared himself. "Split the Mountain Kidorui Genso!" and swung downward at the target.

He had prepared himself for something, but when the blade made contact with the target, he felt the huge outrush of reiatsu from him into the target, and the force of that hit caused the same explosion. But because he wasn't striking very hard, or intending to destroy, the resulting damage to the ground was fairly slight, just a hole about a foot across.

The odd thing was that instead of the blade rebounding from the point of contact, it seemed to be forced downward through the target. And then he did the same thing with the weight.

With some more practice, he found that any downward strike where he called upon the Split the Mountain caused the same effect. Not any horizontally, none from the ground up, just diagonally from the shoulder down to the hip, either side or a direct overhand strike, even when he wasn't holding the sword except by the chain.

By this time, he had destroyed all the targets except one. And now he had an idea.

Throwing Kidorui Genso so that it impaled the target, he held tightly on to the chain and said "Way of Destruction number 4, White Lightning!" and sure enough, the electricity screamed down the chain and into the target, blowing it up.

He jerked the chain and soon had Kidorui Genso back in his hand. "Oh, this is going to be interesting."

Posted: Fri Sep 14, 2007 3:55 pm

Daven was very tired. He figured he had some enough for the last five days, and he was going to rest.

Back to the student barracks for him. He stopped concentrating and Kidorui Genso changed back to his sealed form.

After resting quite some time, he felt better. So he returned to the training grounds to practice some more.

Of course, now that he knew HOW to summon his Shikai, he had to figure out his weaknesses with his Kiri Kuzusu strike, and he had to know if there were limits to it other than his own reiatsu.

"Erupt, Kidorui Genso!" Once his zanpakto changed, he released his reiatsu, and reached deep inside and released even more reiatsu, dumping a lot of his self into what he was about to do.

He looked at a distant target, one of the practice dummies. He started swinging the weight on the chain in an overhand arc, as he kept increasing his reiatsu. As much as he increased the reiatsu, Kidorui Genso kept soaking it up.

With a building scream from the core of his being, he lept straight up and aimed for that target.

The chain and weight snaked out, striking the target right on the top.

And the target vaporized. It was blasted into spirit particles again, and the strike kept going into the ground. The entire Seireitei probably felt the strike when it hit.

It left a huge hole. Just measuring by sight, it looked as the entire tower would fit if laid down across the pit. And it looked exactly as though a meteor hit.

"Oh my god...."

He expected people to come running any second. Probably the Captains arriving first, responding to danger.

A gentle breeze blew past Daven as out of nowhere a black and white feather fell down infront of Daven."Your energy..."A soft calm voice said from an unknown direction as more feathers started to fall from the sky asif there were now a hundred feathers swirling around Daven."Its worth testing.."A man said from behind Daven as his back now was facing Davens back.

The feather slowly faded into thin air as the man moved his hand into the sky."So what do you say..are you up for a sparring match?"The man asked as a book apeared in his palm and a few moment later dissapeared again into a few feathers.

The man now looked at the split in the ground as he now aimed his palm at the split in the ground."It would be troublesome if anyone would see this.

The ground now started to close up looking asif the attack never took place."Thats better..so now shall we.."The man said once again as he faded and reapeared infront of Daven looking at him.

"I would be honored to kick you a**," he said, giving a half bow, never removing his eyes from his enemy.

Kidorui Genso came out of its sheath, and he prepared for a fight.

A faint smile apeared on the young mans face as he slowly closed his eyes and halfly bowed."Your a little overconfident boy.."The young man said as his two sheats were now revealed showing they were binded by chains.

"Overconfident? No. Realistic assessment of my own skills? Much more likely."

The chains didn't disturb him at all. He had seen others so bound, but it was still something to keep an eye on.

He circled around the area they would fight in, keeping an eye on his opponent.

The young man smiled a little more as he saw Daven circle the area."Hehehe...your right you could say I'm weak in this state.."The young man said as his smile now suddenly dissapeared."But I must ask you not to hold back.."The man now slowly crossed his arms as his reyatsu now increased a bit now making it visible."Cause if you hold back it would mean...DEATH.."

The young man now faded into thin air an apeared few feet in the sky."Now lets begin."while airborn he aimed his two fingers down at the ground."Destructive art White crashdown.."Theyoung man said under his breath shooting a beam of lightning into the ground causing dust to sweep up like a smoke screen and he now dissapeared into the dust.

Hmmm, Air step. Nicely executed. But....

Daven changed his perception and increased is riatsu himself, and moved out of the way. His perceptions slowed, making it appear to him that everyone else was moving slowly. The perception change was necessary so he could still interact with the world around him at a high rate of speed.

He grabbed one of his whips in his off hand, and it snaked out and wrapped around the ankle of his new opponent. Giving a yank, he pulled HARD.

Then the ice hit his opponent.

The wip was about to freeze the young man as he was pulled out of the swept up dust."Your efforts are....Futile.."The young man said as he faded once more and apeared in the air."This guy is strong.."He thought to himself as he landed on the floor.

"And that wip.."The young man now dashed towards Daven at a regular speed attempting to punch him but then suddenlyfaded and apeared above Daven heeldropping him in the shoulder.

The throwing off of the whip was expected, so it was no surprise.

With his perceptions speeded up, he saw the flash step from where his opponent was to where he was coming down at. It was very easy to pull up his Kidorui Genso and let the heel stomp impact the edge of the blade instead of his head.

A kick followed up to the exposed inner thigh, which should cause his opponent vast amounts of pain.

The Ice Whip curled around Daven's torso, out of the way and ready for action. And Daven waited to see what the next move would be.

The young man was suprised his oponent could counterhis movements as he saw the he slightly moved making the kick collide with his chin."How did he..."The young thought to himself as he was sent flying backwards in a backflip and landed in a one handed handstand."Damn.."He came back to his feet.

"Your the first to injure me..."The young man said with an serious face."The name's Triox azamura.."

Triox now crossedhis arm's against his chest as his reyatsu now increased a bit."Zerox..release yourself!!| Triox said as the chains binding his left zanpactou broke and reformed around his arm and the black blade slowly unsheated itself slowly.

Triox grabbed the blade as he now aimed his blade to the ground beside him."Now come at me.."Triox said asif his voice now changed to a more dark and deep one.

Well, this fight just went from zero to sonofabitch in like 0.08 seconds. I might be in trouble here.

He tested the currents of the reiatsu he felt around him and prepared for an attack from the ground, which would probably be a mistake.

He readied himself to dodge in any direction, including down if he had to.

Just to keep the initiative, he held up his palm "Way of Destruction number 54, Abolishing Flames!"

PostPosted: Tue Sep 25, 2007 2:41 pm

Triox slowly closed his eye's as he moved his body and sword in a dance like movement."Dance of the black flame.."Triox whispered as he now moed at an high speed clearly moving out of the flame's way as his own blade shot a black flame into the sky.

The sky darkened a bit as the clouds moved aside due to a rain of black fireballs that came down raining on into Davens direction.

s**t!

He Flash Stepped out of the way and had to keep running around dodging the fireballs.

I've never seen this before. No Shinimgami has this kind of power, not even Captains. I wonder what the hell this is...

While he was thinking about this, one of the fireballs hit too close, blasting him backwards and driving the air out of his lungs as he hit the ground. And he just had to lie there while he got his breath back.

But thankfully he wasn't out of the fight just yet.

Well, let's see what I can do now.

He cheated, and he knew it. It was a dirty dispicable cheat, and he called upon some of his Kitsune powers. He Earth Steped.

Like a Flash Step, this was moving through the Earth. There was also Fire Step, Water Step, Air Step. The disadvantage was that he was moving blind. He kept his mind open to the riatsu he was sensing, and moved toward it quickly, through the ground. His passage caused no disturbance, and he emerged behind his opponent.

He tapped him on the shoulder. "Missed me." Then he swung with all his might, a horzontal strike at the waist.

He moved his zanpactou in a afterimage style nearly stopping his oponents blade in its track's.

"I'll tell you a little secret...It might seem like I completely blocked your attack..but as you can see I wasnt fast enough."

A small cut now slowly opened at Triox's waist."And I can see your a lot stronger than you look.."He now took a few steps back as he slowly resheated his blade but now holding the hilt tighter than before.

"Why dont you show me more power.."He said as he moved the hair covering his left eye revealing an eyepatch with a scar hidden behind it.

"Well, I tend to work on the philosophy that you don't use a shotgun to kill a gnat. But if you want....

"Erupt! Kidorui Genso!"

Once the tranformation sequence had finished, he threw the weight so it would bind Triox's arm to his side and started circling at a high rate of speed, tying him up.

This is an difficult situation.."He tought to himself.

He now smiled again."Now is the time.."A voice said out ofnowhere as if a mysterious force spoke.

"I will awaken and turn the earth into a waste land, the tree's and plants into ashe's and the sky will rain fire and the I will emerge obliterating my enemies under the heat of my flame!!"

he now slowly unsheated his blade now slowly black flame's formed around it and Triox slowing down the binding spell.

"Now zerox show us your strength!! and set our enemies ablaze!!"

The blade now transformed into a black blade with the words"Sword in the sun."Engraved into it.

"Now lets begin the true battle.."

He recovered the chain and moved closer to his opponent. He kept flash stepping around him, in various points keeping Trioux contained.

(( point of order here, I've created another kido that I want to use in this fight, but I wanted to check first before I used it. It's one of those "possible godmod" spells that are kind of out there. Here it is:

Quote:
* 65. Sticky Hands. A binding spell which allows the user to hold on to the target person no matter what happens. It also allows the caster to have an advantage in knowing what will happen during an attack and to be able to counter it. He can even block the opponent's attacks with the opponent themselves. THIS IS A KIDO OF MY OWN CREATION!!!!

It's a binding spell, designed off REAL martial arts techniques called "sticky hands" which does exactly what I describe here. It's a Master's art, but when executed properly, they have a lot higher chance of blocking and countering strikes, they can defend with your body, and it's nearly impossible to get rid of them. It's explained as them using their Ki or Chi to remain in contact with you.

But since I was hoping to use it, and since it's not a kido used in the anime or the manga, I wanted to clear it first. ))

Triox closed his eyes as the flame now formed a circle around him like a barrier.

"The flash step technique..smart.."

The flame now started to spread turning the flowers around him into ashe's.

(Fine by me I'll figure out a way to turn it against you..i like a challenge)

Flame attacks? Gonna be interesting. Let's change the tempo of this dance.

His Flash Steps changed tempo, it became a vortex around him, spinning, moving the air, changing the breeze. It twisted the flames around, containing them and suffocating them, starving the flames for air, snuffing them out. It sucked the air down from the top of the vortex intensifying the flames in the middle of the vortex, concentrating those flames in the middle, spinning and twisting them into a flame funnel.

Triox looked the the black flame's being removed and smiled a bit as now jumped up skyhigh aiming his blade down on his oponent.

"Flaming dragon hurricane!!"

His blade shot down a huge blast of black fire in the form of a dragon.
The dragon twisted and turned comming down at an destructive speed burning everythig in its path.

A Dragon of Fire. Well, a Water Dragon would destroy, it but since I don't have any water nearby, Earth will have to do.

He reached down through the power of Kidorui Genso and pulled up a shield of Earth, making sure that the dragon shape would impact it, and not him. He then Flash Stepped behind Triox and swung.

"Split the Mountain, Kidroui Genso!" Once again he sped up his perceptions so everything looked to be moving in slow motion, so he could see exactly what was happening with his strike.

"His speed..at this rate I cant keep up.."

He was struck in the lowerback but it sounded asif a hard substace was hit.(That would be my hollow boe thingy since it starts at from my lower backand ends on the higher part of the back)

Triox was sent flying dowwards towards the ground crashing into it at a high speed creating a small crater sweeping up dust.

"This is unforgivable.."
"Triox let me take over for a while..NOW!!"
"I will be reborn through you!!"

the dark voice roared as Trioxe's lifeless body slowly stood up with black purpleish glowing eyes

The dust suddenly started to circle as it now was dispersed by a huge amount of energy.

Triox was standing there with a huge reyatsu flow formed around him.

"Your end is near.."

Daven watched in horror when his opponent who should have been killed by that strike, stood up.

Damn, gotta hit fast

Moving fast, he hit him twice more with the Kiri Kuzusu strike, once with the weight, and once more with the sword as he moved in. Driving him into the Earth.

And just to be sure, he ramped up his own reiatsu, just to be ready.

"Now let me show you...true power."

Triox now dissapeared leaving a crater behind he now apeared above Daven comming down in a highspeed heeldrop top the head."Hell's devine judgment!!"Triox said as black reyatsu wrapped around his heel.

Daven noted him move, and managed to twist just enough that the heelstrike hit his shoulder instead of his head. The impact still sent him spinning off and only by twisting in the air was he able to retain his feet. He still slid on his hands and feet before stopping.

s**t...... Damn that hurt.

He quickly ran through options.

1. Keep hitting him with the Split the Mountain strike (shown to be mostly ineffective)
2. Try the Ice Whip again (better chance of success than the Fire Whip)
3. Try a different Kido, either binding or destruction (shown to be able to dodge these before).
4. Pull upon his Kitsune nature and the magicks he learned in other places until something better comes along (possibility of success, slim)
5. See if his Martial Skills (his best attribute) alone is enough to allow him to beat this *creature* (best chanse of success at this point)
6. See if Kidorui Genso has some other trick up its sleeve (which can be done while fighting)

That's what I can do. Good, a plan at last.....

He readied himself for the next attack.

"Tch ..Ichigo is here aswell..."

He now stabbed his blade into the ground and jumped up landing on the hilt."Why dont we make this match more interresting"Triox said in a calmvoice as his eye's turned back to normal."Fight me at full power.."

Triox stood there on his blade looking at Daven with his arms crossed against his chest.

Damn, he wants MORE? These aren't love-taps he's been giving me. I don't think I can pull much more out of me.

Daven kept waiting for him to attack. His bag of tricks wasn't exhausted yet, and it was interesting what a little shove at the right time could accomplish. Maybe there was enough in him that he could pull it out, but right now he was fighting at near his limit.

an invisible unciounsious force of reyatsu started to circle around the sword that was stabbed into the ground.

"Now if you wont attack me I'll have to make you.."

The blade Triox was standing on started to glow as the ground now trembled and four blades came out of the ground spinning around Daven.

"Now are you ready for complete anihilation."

Triox saidfrom a small distance as the four blade's slowly turned into small black feathers as sharp as a katana

Posted: Sun Oct 07, 2007 1:55 pm

He got hit by one of the feathers before he realized just how dangerous they were. Then he concentrated on preventing those from hitting him while he worked his way nearer his opponent. But while he was able to prevent most of them from hitting, he was getting hit occasionally.

And his speed wasn't able to compensate for everything.

He did his absolute best, speeding himself up, stepping around, dodging and blocking, but he was still getting his backside kicked.

Finally he worked his way to his enemy, striking distance. "Binding Art number 65, Sticky Hands."

He reached out with his free hand and grabbed Triox, and started using his body to block the "feathers". Which simplified everything greatly.

The feathers moved aside before encounterring Triox swirling around Triox and Daven.

"It seems he countered me again..tch.."

Triox still stood on his blade.

PostPosted: Sun Oct 07, 2007 2:23 pm

Remaining in contact with him allowed Daven to be able to anticipate his attacks due to the ebb and flow of his riatsu. Which gave him a heck of an advantage.

The short ranged attacks on Triox was really good too.

With Kidorui Genso in hand, he started stabbing and slashing at Triox, always keeping one hand on him. Strikes from Triox had a limb of Triox's pulled in front so he was hitting himself, and then he would also be hit in a different area by Daven's sword. Slashes on the face, head, torso, arms and legs all compounded.

Daven felt it was fair since he too so much damage from the "feathers".

Triox managed to fend of a few slashes and stabs but was hit by a stab in the stomach nearly missing the vital area's

"Tch..I'm in a difficult situation..i gues I have no choice"

The feathers now all pointed at Daven and Triox.

"Now we both die!!"

The feathers now came at both of them at full speed.

DAMNIT!!! Oh.... that HURT

He was hit about 15 times with no chance of avoiding it. He tried to get away and broke his kido and jumped far, and promptly collapsed. He lay there wondering what would happen when he died.

He heard Triox's panting a little way away, knowing he was hurt too, but it didn't matter.

---------------------------

He found himself standing on a valley floor, looking up at the cliff wall. He could see a cave and some hollows in the shape of a face, so he wasn't shocked when the cave started talking to him.

"NOW IT'S TIME DAVEN. YOU HAVE PUSHED YOURSELF TO THE LIMIT. YOU HAVE TO SAY IT NOW."

"Say what?"

"YOU HAVE TO CALL UPON THE ALL RELEASE. IT IS TIME"

"But I'm no where near ready yet."

"YES YOU ARE, YOU HAVE THE TIME, YOU HAVE THE CONTROL, YOU JUST DON'T HAVE THE CONFIDENCE. DO IT OR YOU WILL DIE. I CAN HEAL YOUR WOUNDS, BUT YOU HAVE TO DO THIS NOW!"

--------------------------------------

His eyes cleared. He hurt a lot, and it was very hard to move. But he stood up.

He held Kidorui Genso in a standard stance.

"BANKAI!"

An explosion of riatsu followed, and when the dust settled, he wasn't bleeding anymore. He held a Naginata in his hand, chain returned to the tassle on the end.

The weight felt good, heavy and able to cut through anything. Daven noticed that the back edge of the Naginata was sharpened too, so the cleaving edge could also cut on the back swing.

And with that in hand, he yelled and lept for Triox.

"Now you die!!!"

A dark voice shouted as his second blade's chains broke ofand reformed on his other arm

"Sword in the moon..."

"Swordsin the sun.."

Two voice's spoke at the same time as if the two dwelling spirits oftheswords fused together with that of Triox the chains now wrapped around the hilt of the blade making one of the blade's pure with and the other pure black.

"Swords in the eclipse!!!"

The voice's now shouted as two white with blacklayered wings ripped out of Trioxe's back and his left ey turned black and his right eye turned silver a grey reyatsu formed around him healing his wounds.

"this is my curse and I'll be more than glad to share it with you...BLADES OF MISSERY!!"

Blade's started to amerge from all over the place. (Like zenbonzakura)

This is going to be interesting1

The blades flew toward him and he did his level best to dodge, but inevitably one got through his dodges, and he blocked with his Kidouri Genso. He called "Split the Mountain" and the riatsu flowed from him into the block, exploding everything in the area away from him at a high velosity, sending some back at Triox.

Oh, that's interesting, I can now do that strike from ANY direction. NICE!

He Air Stepped to Triox and chopped from the ground up, hitting hard and blasting him high into the sky with the Kiri Kuzusu strike. And the amount of power that he hit with was almost five times as hard.

He Stepped back to the ground and let Kidorui Genso transform back into his katana. He put him away and nearly collapsed.

He was tired and he would need more practice with his Bankai, but it was his now. He knew how to use it, what it could do and there would be more opportunity to use it.

Zaigou training

Daven moved a bit to the side, avoiding Ricardo's attempt to bump into him. After all, unranked squad members such as he aren't worthy enough to touch a Captain.

He heard the insubordinate remark that the fool made, and ignored it.

He returned his attention to the Lieutenant. "Did you get the orders I sent to you via the Hell's Butterfly five hours ago?"

He never understood the impulse that overcame the squad member to attack.

Daven found himself grabbed and shoved, and Ricardo was saying something about having a list and Daven was first on it in that evil condescending tone that made it a threat.

Daven thought quickly, very quickly and came to an irrevocable decision.

The moment Ricardo's hand touched his shoulder, Daven reacted. A swift punch to his throat, which he had no chance of dodging, collapsed his larynx. Daven finished his opponent off with spear-hand strikes to his Soul Chain and his Spirit House, making sure that Ricardo would die and not be able to be revived.

"For insubordination, for attacking a Captain with no provocation, for putting hands on a Lieutenant without invitation and for threatening a Captain, I find you guilty and execute you forthwith, by my own hand. I shall contact your Captain to come retrieve your corpse and return you in disgrace to your family."

Daven watched as his life fled from his eyes.

***
Daven's body spasmed and he shook. He had the dream again. Ever since that fateful day, he kept having that nightmare, over and over.

It wasn't that killing was unfamiliar to him, it wasn't that he was having a problem dealing with having made the decision. It was something else, something that dealt with him and his psyche on a very fundamental level. There was something very very wrong.

He wondered idly if he should contact someone from 4th Squad to help him with his mental processes. Maybe he should go home for a while.

***

About a week later, he had finished his preparations to go home for a while. The Kitsune court wasn't a place that most would think of as "home", but it was a location he felt comfortable moving through, as he was born and raised in this royal environment.

He had never been in the highest level of the Court, but now he came back to see what he had earned.

Upon arrival, he went to the oldest Nine Tailed Kitsune there. It wasn't that he was the ruler of the Kitsune, but in practice he was the leader, as much as the Kitsune could be said to have a leader.

Daven presented himself as protocol demanded. Still in his clothes from the Sereitei, zanpakto and uniform on. He looked around the fancy dress and kimono of the ladies, as well as the beautiful outfits on the men.

He had forgotten the splendor of the Court. Everyone who was anyone came here at one point or another, and he was no exception. He finally felt at home, even though he would be driven away in less than a week by the sheer chaos of this place.

He waited to be announced. As he did he looked around, glad the mask hid his features. He saw many Kitsune that he knew from previous days, and they hadn't changed much. And that was the problem with this Court. The constant chaos and at the same time the stasis was maddening.

He heard himself announced.

In silence, which was odd for this court, he moved forward. He stopped at the foot of the dais and bowed in humble acknowledgment. "Eldest Brother, I, Daven, present myself as returned from my far travels."

The Eldest smiled. "Daven, welcome home! You have been missing from this court for a long time now."

Daven stood again. "Yes I have been gone. I have been traveling among the planes and among the humans, learning and growing. As you see, I left here an Eight Tailed Kitsune, and I earned my Ninth tail in my travels.

"As part of that travel and part of the growth I have had, I will tell you may tale."

He started in on the story of the last three thousand years of his life. He talked about being a mercenary, a samurai and then becoming a Death God. He showed his zanpakto to the assembled Kitsune and showed his Shikai and Bankai releases, showing his power. He knew that they were unimpressed by power, but craft and guile were the most admired qualities.

While he didn't have many stories of guile, he did talk about what he did know. He could tell that he was impressing some, but most were bored. With that he knew that while he was allowed to be here, he was the one thing that was a crime among the Kitsune, he was a bore.

He finished his tale and the Eldest said "Welcome home then. Stay and take refreshment and participate in the Court. You are well come and welcome." And once he had said that, the Eldest turned his attention to other matters.

Daven faded into the background, his duty done. He was on his own now, able to come and go as he saw fit.

***

He moved around the areas he knew from when he was younger. He remembered one lady, a kind three tail, who might be able to help him. She was very experienced in using illusions and mind games to get what she wanted, and she might be the one to talk to.

He found her right where he remembered her to be. She was after all, his teacher.

"Greetings, Sensei. I hope this student has been a credit to his Teacher."

She looked up at him and smiled a large vixen grin. "Daven, it's been millennia! How are you doing?"

He sat with her and took tea with her, while telling her about his exploits. He was honest and went into greater detail with her.

He told her about the execution he had to do, and the resulting nightmares. He explained that he was waking up a lot and really upset when he woke. He asked for her advice.

She started making some passes in the air with her paws. He noted that she was drawing some runes in the air, and from long practice he translated them to see that they were to bring dreams to sight. He narrowed his eyes and let the magic flow into him, and he felt it draw out his dreams and fears.

All at once, he was reliving the scene again. He felt the emotions, he remembered his thoughts, and he started reliving it as though it were brand new. The adrenalin and the vision slowed down to a crawl, and he was able to see more of what was happening. He watched as his fist impacted Ricardo's throat, then the Soul Chain, then there was an extra flash when he hit the Spirit House location. He wondered what that flash was, it looked like a P of light that spread quickly all over him at the punch. He didn't get a clear look and couldn't identify it.

He came back to himself, and the vision faded.

***

He spent several hours talking to her about the vision they shared. She questioned him, he questioned her. In the end, nothing was solved or discovered. All they both knew was that symbol wasn't one they had seen or knew anything about.

He thanked his teacher and took his leave of her. He would have to look in other areas.

Thankfully, the libraries of the Kitsune were about as complete as they got.

***

Days later, Daven was ready to pull his ears off. He had worried a bald spot on one of his tails from messing with it, and it didn't help.

He had discovered a few things. That symbol looked like a P, it looked like Thorn in the Norwegian runescripts, it looked like a Z in Enochian, it looked like Pi in Greek. It could be any number of things and none of them made sense.

It didn't correspond to any known sigils of anyone of consequence. There would be no way to make Ricardo's name come out with that symbol if it was sigilized, even if it was converted into some esoteric script and then sigilized like a bindrune was, and there wasn't anything else.

Daven was really at a loss.

He put the papyrus back in the wood covers that protected it and set it aside. Logically if there was no information, then this must be something new. If that was the case, then he would have to figure out what was going on and work on it.

He started re-shelving books and putting scrolls away and so on. Once he finished that, which took him a half an hour, he gathered up some materials and moved to one of the tables where he could work.

He pulled out an ink pen (soooo much better than brushes in his opinion) and got a new journal ready. Into that journal he put everything that he had seen, felt, that happened to him, questions asked and thought contemplated. He put his researches and the references down so that he could find them at some other time.

He checked to make sure that the magical copy he caused to be created got all that information in it too. Now, when he updated his journal, no matter where he was, this copy would be updated too, so that there was a record of his investigations.

Having done all he could, he gathered up his stuff and put it in his messenger bag and moved off to his rooms.

***

Much later, after he had dropped off most of his stuff in his rooms, he was in the meditation garden simply looking and spending time listening to the water. It was always good to listen to the elements. So much of a person's life was taken up with screening out things, selectively hearing some things, and not others, that it was a pleasure just to stop having to guard against hearing. To be was the goal, to be one.

From that basic start, he slipped into his standard training meditation. It was a necessary part of himself since he needed to go in and quell his bloodlust.

It was something he was not proud of. Normally he was aloof and quiet, calm and centered. He did things deliberately, he moved with purpose. He didn't waste motions and he worked to be precise and exact. He used the personal motto of "Economy of motion". Every erg of energy saved was more he could use if he needed to be in massive motion, like when fighting.

He appeared calm and passive to those around him. It was a facade he worked hard to maintain. But once he got into fighting, he wanted to kill. Not just a little, he wanted great rivers of blood, he LOVED fighting and destroying. He knew that if he let himself go, he could be in a lot of trouble.

He knew the mechanism for this psychosis. It was what would have been referred to as "Berserker mentality". He was essentially a completely different person when he was fighting. And his facade cracked. It was another reason to wear the mask, so others couldn't see the raw rage he had on his face when he started fighting at his own level.

The fight he had with Yukimaru for instance, he came very close to killing her, and he didn't care. He LOVED that, part of his soul sang in joy and exaltation when he was at that level, since so few people could get near him in that manner. He understood Kenpachi when he met him, he had that same joy in battle.

Oh the athleticism was one thing, the being able to be a perfect machine when moving and striking, the precision and the economy. But the KILL, the bloodlust, that was what he fought for. And it was his greatest shame.

A true Warrior didn't fight. They battled only when there was no other option, they worked to not have to fight. But they didn't hesitate when there was a battle to be joined, but they did what they could to not have to fight.

His exaltation in fighting shamed him. But oh, to hold back and hold back and hold back and hold back, and to be able to let go and simply FIGHT, to not have to worry about whether or not you would kill your opponent, for that was the point. To be able to be threatened where it was possible that he could be injured and killed himself, to put his skills and his will and his life to the ultimate test against someone who could truly test him, that was the apex of what combat was about.

And the Berserker in him argued with the Warrior in him. As they always did. And he listened to them, as he always did. Nothing was ever resolved, but there were times when there seemed that there may be a solution to this problem. But it always slithered away.

And he noticed something on the Berserker's tongue. That curious P symbol again. He only got flashes of it, but it was enough.

Coming out of his meditations, he went back to his room to write all this down.

***

Writing calmed him, but it didn't solve the root problem. It didn't fix the impulse to destroy. Perhaps having an overdose of killing would take care of the problem. Perhaps if he got sick enough of the killing, maybe that would do it.

Daven started packing up his belongings again, getting ready to go to another level.

He wondered how the hollows in Hueco Mundo would feel at the arrival of the Commander of the forces of the Sereitei appearing in their midst.

He'd soon find out.

***

Daven stepped out of the hole in-between realities and looked around the wasteland that was Hueco Mundo. He had his bag slung over his shoulder and all his arms were available to him. He knew it would be a very short time before someone started attacking him.

He reached into his bag and grabbed his journal and the pen.

I'm going to be killing a lot. I hope that like any child who is fed too much of a thing they want, the berserker side of me will get sick of it and go away. I'm hoping that this will work, because I'm running out of things to try. And now, I'm going to start killing hollows.

Daven put the book back in his bag and waited. He made sure his reiatsu wasn't being suppressed, and he waited.

Soon after, he heard the roar of a hollow in the distance. Soon, he was facing a horde of hollows, and he grinned behind his mask.

Out came Kidorui Genso and he started moving.

***

Flashing through the crowd of hollows, he noticed that there were a lot stronger set than normal. Not normal hollows, but it seemed to be the next step up. Hollows who had absorbed multiple hollows, and he was now killing them, easily and quickly.

He hadn't even pulled out any of the other weapons. And his shikai was still unreleased.

[ KC 48 ]

***

After a few minutes of slaughter, he stopped an put his sword up. It was SOOO much more satisfying when he had his hands buried in their skulls. Ripping and tearing and crushing. He did pull out his new hand to hand system, called shunkō, which allowed him to move his hands as fast as he could move his feet when flash stepping.

And the slaughter truly began.

[ KC 107 ]

***

His regret here was that they didn't have blood. If they did, he could feel the splatters all over him. It wasn't as fun to watch them just evaporate, so he started doing other things.

He would grab arms, pull heads, smash organs, destroy limbs and he really enjoyed ripping off the masks.

Oh, the screams were music to his ears.

He could feel the Berserker moving around behind his eyes and head.

[ KC 167 ]

***

It was getting very hard to think. The pounding of his heart, the breathing of his lungs. He ripped off his own mask and tossed it aside.

He ripped one mask off a hollow and put it on himself. He was rejoicing in being able to kill and kill. To hell with cleansing these souls, they weren't worthy of being cleansed....

He was the GOD of DESTRUCTION!!!

[ KC 227 ]

***

The Berserker was fully roused. He was pushing Daven aside easily now, this orgy of death. It was even more poignant that the destruction was happening in their own safe haven. Soon, more higher powered beings would be showing up.

Some of these hollow were firing Cero at him, all of them splashing off him and his reiatsu that was surrounding him, both from the shunkō, and from the simple pressure of Daven's reiatsu. He was invulnerable.

The Berserker's eyes narrowed as he looked through the slits of the Hollow Mask, and now the heavens would weep.

[ KC 300 ]

***

(( the more dice reflects the step up of his fighting skills at this point ))

The Berserker watched as these pitiful things disappeared under his hands. He knew they weren't going anyplace, and in fact they were reforming into a giant black hollow behind him.

Good, Lunch is served...

[ KC 352 ]

***

The hollows were swarming. He saw more of the large black hollows as well. The Berserker smiled. This was going to be so much fun.

He started attacking the large hollows. There was more glory in beating them than in the puny little pis-ants that were below him. He would enter the large hollow, rip it apart from the inside, and he noted that these large hollow were made up of lots of other hollows.

OH YES!!!

The Warrior looked on sadly. He knew what was happening, but he wasn't happy about it.

The Berserker told the Warrior to stuff it.

Daven didn't exist as far as could be told. It was just these two sides that were at constant war with each other.

[ KC 410 ]

***

The Berserker seemed to be everywhere. He was in one place, then another, in and out and destroying and killing.

Then he realized he could destroy even MORE if he used his weapons!

He pulled the sword and caused it to turn into that naginata so that it would be really efficient in killing. And it would be very easy to destroy!

[ KC 494 ]

(( the dice keep ramping up, but this is as high as I go. Above this is just too much. ))

***

THIS is what killing feels like! This is FANTASTIC!!! The Berserker's thoughts just started devolving into rage, red and brutal. It didn't matter what was in front of him, just target-response was the only thought in his head.

He was attacking with rocks, with parts of other huge black hollows, abandoned parts and everything he could find. Swinging the naginata and killing was normal, and he felt like he could go forever!

-------------------

The Warrior knew that this was dangerous as hell. His nemesis was getting closer and closer to the spirit of Kidorui Genso, and it could corrupt that pure form.

He was going to have to take action and soon. While these hollows definitely needed to be destroyed, this was a massacre.

[ KC 572 ]

***

The power flowed through him. It was heady, it was like wine and the best spirits. It made him feel so much larger than anything else out there, huge, elemental, powerful, more powerful than that Daven, the Warrior, or that mountain spirit which was the sword he was using.

He would have to do this forever!

[ KC 664 ]

***

There was no thought, just killing

---------------

The Warrior moved inbetween the Berserker and Kidorui Genso. He knew that the spirit of the Zanpakto had to be protected, or else Daven was lost forever. And it would be a hard battle to stop.

But he had faith in Daven, he had faith in himself and he had Kidorui Genso on his side as well.

He could feel the Berserker turning his attention on Kidorui Genso, and it was likely that he could snuff out the Spirit of the Sword without a thought.

[ KC 740 ]

***

The Warrior watched as the Berserker summoned more of the power of the Zanpakto. He noticed a beam of energy going from the top of the Mountain and shooting off into space. And each time that happened, the reality here shifted a bit.

He didn't have much time, and he knew that, but he would have to understand what was going on to be able to use it or to prevent it.

That's when the first earthquake struck. Devastation and destruction followed in the inner world of the mind.

And this was very bad.

[ KC 831 ]

***

Daven was imprisoned inside the mountain that was the spirit of Kidorui Genso. He could see out, he could see the Berserker and he could see the Warrior starting to take his position to stop whatever was going on.

He didn't understand anything right now, but that symbol was very prominent on the Berserker AND the Warrior, and given the leisure to study the symbol, he was able to realize that it wasn't a P, it was an Enochian Z that was there.

"I guess the Mark of Zorro is appropriate as his name means 'the fox' in Spanish." He was trying to make a joke because of this desperate situation. If it went on too much longer, he was probably going to die.

[ KC 926 ]

***

The Warrior had no choice anymore. He couldn't stand by and let this Berserker take over everything. He had to do something.

The beam of light coming from the Mountain was the key, he knew it. So he stepped so that the beam was striking him, not going to the Berserker as it was.

He was immediately engulfed in the sun, and his mirror of Kidorui Genso, the sword, transformed in his fist into the bankai release of Daven's.

*****

The Berserker knew something was wrong in a flash. He had been killing and killing, and suddenly the power was dropped. He felt tired, there were injuries and parts of his body that had been overused. He knew that something was happening.

He ran as fast as he could back to the gate he used to get her, and went back to Earth. He had to take some time from his killing spree and figure out what was going on.

[ KC 1038 ]

***

Daven watched the upcoming fight. It had been coming for a long time. He knew that he would have to do something to help the Warrior, but he didn't know what.

He saw the same thing the Warrior noticed, the light and power coming from the depths of the Mountain, and he knew that was the place he could effect things.

He moved to place his body in the path of all that spiritual energy too, and added his energy to that beam, to make the Warrior stronger.

-----------------

The Warrior felt Daven's energy join the stream coming from Kidorui Genso and knew that he now had a chance. It was up to him now.

He jumped into combat, hopefully to strike before his opponent knew he was there.

---------------

The Berserker rallied. Once back in the Real World he turned his attention back to the internal landscape where THIS battle was going to be fought. He needed to stay alive, and he wasn't going to let ANYONE take that from him again. That wuss of a Warrior didn't understand the joy in killing, he was simply a machine, an assassin without any emotion.

It was only in loving combat that you could truly respect and appreciate the opponents and truly honor them.

Every time the energy shifted from the Warrior to the Berserker, Daven choked it out. He absorbed and simply held the energy so that the Berserker wasn't being fed extra power. He made sure that he kept feeding his personal power to the Warrior so that he could be victorious.

Daven kept pouring his energy into this and couldn't be distracted.

The Warrior joined the combat with the Berserker, as they had always done. This was an eternal fight and one that he had to win. This was the first time that they had used weapons, normally it was nothing but words.

He fought passionately, completely. He wasn't distracted by anger or fear or something else, he was focused on the battle.

Back and forth they attacked and went around. He kept sucking energy from Daven and Kidorui Genso, with that power flowing through him he could win. But he never let himself get drunk.

With cooperation, the subdual of the Berserker would be much easier.

And after ten or twenty minutes of fighting, with the help of Daven, the Berserker was smashed to the ground.

***

Daven saw the Warrior smash the Berserker down, but he knew that he couldn't and wouldn't finish him off. He was too honorable to do so, so Daven took matters into his own hands.

He caused an earthquake to happen again right under the Berserker's back, opening a rift as one would expect. And with that, the Berserker vanished into the ground.

Daven poured energy into the Warrior and suddenly he was standing with the Warrior, in his body. He kept the energy flowing through him and blasted the ground where the Berserker disappeared into. His hope was to seal him up.

And the ground closed.

The earth liquefied and turned molten from the reiatsu being shoved into it, and the rift sealed.

He thought that was it, until the Berserker started getting out.

Damnit! Won't he DIE???

Daven kept pouring energy into it to keep the Berserker contained. But he was running out of energy quickly.

Then he had an inspiration. He put that symbol he saw over top of the rift, holding it there with his spiritual energy, making sure it was written large all over the rift, to make sure it was magically sealed.

And the escape attempts subsided.

He stumbled back against the Mountain that was Kidorui Genso. And slid down.

The symbol was still burning in the ground, but that seal held.

Oh my god that was close. That's about as close as I have ever come to dying as it's possible to do.

Now he had time to reason some things out. Somehow that Z symbol was a seal to keep the Berserker contained. And if it worked, who was he to dispute it? He realized that the Warrior and he had fused for now, and that he would have to make sure the Warrior was tasked with protecting Kidorui Genso from the Berserker.

He wondered if this was what Vizards went through?

----------------

He came back to his body and opened his eyes. He didn't recognize the area he was in, but that wasn't important. What mattered was that he was alive and whole. He was tired and his left arm hurt.

His left arm hurt?

He moved his glove aside to expose the back of his forearm and there, branded and scarred into his flesh, was that same symbol.

Well, at least I can keep it covered with the gloves. I have no idea what happened, but I have to figure this out.

He moved to go back to the Sereitei and recover.

Training of the Zaigou Powers

Daven Moto

Daven came to the compound from his office. He wanted to get to Earth without calling attention to himself. He knew that the Moto Family had their own gate to Earth, and he planned to use it so he could bypass having his powers sealed.

He needed to train, and the best place for that was on Earth. He had his private training area out of his office, but that was good for things he already knew about, for honing skills. This power he got that caused the scar on his left arm was different somehow, and he needed the uncertainty of Humanity and the hollows that were there to bring it forth.

He pulled the glove down and looked at his arm. The mark was still there, looking more like a brand than anything else. He was wondering what it was about and what it meant.

He had to find out.

He stepped up to the Gate, and waved his hand. The doors opened and the gate activated, glowing. But something was different. He had stepped toward the Gate and it darkened and flared. But his arm was also burning a bit.

That made things interesting, but it was probably going to be due to his powers not being sealed.

He stepped up to the gate and stepped through.

Immediately, his world changed and flashed around, whirling and changing. He was spinning and falling. He didn't know where he was, but this wasn't going to be Earth.

And then he was in a wasteland.

****

( Continued from http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=2&t=12963997#159432153 )

Daven moved, standing and looking around himself. He saw the wasteland he was finding himself in, knowing this wasn't Earth. He wondered where exactly he was at. It definitely wasn't where he intended to be, and it was someplace he might be able to train at. It looked like this certainly couldn't be more destroyed.

The pain in his arm was nearly unbearable. He looked at the scar again, and he could see that it was glowing. Which was odd. He shoved the pain away and decided that he wouldn't pay attention to the pain, he would simply focus on what he was supposed to be here for.

You are in a very dangerous place Daven-dono. This is probably the worst place you can be at. the Warrior said in his mind.

Daven could feel the Warrior within him. He was remaining true to his promise to keep the Berserker at bay, to protect Kidorui Genso from the Berserker. And Daven could see that the seal in his mind, the one keep the Berserker contained was glowing as well.

He felt the Warrior all around, merging with him again. His eyes narrowed and his visage changed beneath his mask. Instead of the calm and kind person he was, he became remote and cold. He could also feel his reiatsu increase again, moving into three or four times the level it was normaly at in bankai. Which was dangerous since it was already ten or twenty times more powerful than when he wasn't in bankai, and he hadn't even drawn Kidorui Genso.

This meant that he was pulling on the power of Kidorui Genso without having even touched it. Which took this new ability to a whole 'nother level of power.

He looked down at his left fist. There was a glow there, very faint but definitely present. He pulled his mask off and put it in his pouch where his clay slap balls were kept at so he could get a better look. But he noticed that when he concentrated, his eyes focused in on his hand to the point where he could see the individual skin cells, right through his pelt.

He blinked his eyes a few times to clear his vision and shook his head. He looked around and found that he could see an incredible distance.

And then a scent came to him on the wind. One that he hadn't smelled in several centuries. His mind identified it even though he couldn't identify it back when he was in the Captain's office in 4th Squad. Kazi. I had wondered when I would meet him again. It figured.

He tried to ignore the scent, but if he smelled him, Kazi probably knew he was here too. Which meant that he would have to get ready to see him.

Daven suppressed his reiatsu as much as he could, but the darkness that was around him was hard to disguise. And the burning of his scar was now a comfort, instead of being painful.

"Daven." Kazi said from behind Daven "It's been a long time. How's the scar been?"

Daven turned.

"Kazi. It's converted." He pulled down the glove to show the new scar in the place where Kazi's knife punched through his arm so many centuries ago.

The glow was unmistakable.

"Hmmm...." Kazi said looking at it "It reacts to the energy that permeates this entire world. Vaizard and Arrancar. Along with my Hollow Cattle." Kazi said thinking "Interesting..." Kazi pondered for a moment and then drew Benikarasu "Why the hell are you in my home? Have you finally begun the invasion of the outlying territories?"

Daven felt his heart start to race. The glow increased around his body and tails.

"Invasion? No. I was going to Earth through the Moto family gate and I found myself here. I WAS going to train.

"Put that pigsticker away before I make you eat it again."

Kazi laughed at Daven's face and began to laugh uncontrolably "I missed you old friend." Kazi said as put Benikarasu away and held his arms open for a hug from his old friend "It's been too many years. I'm finally getting my life together."

Daven's grin split his face.

"Kazi, it's been FAR too long. Where have you been? What have you been doing? We must catch up!"

Daven looked around while his friend was laughing. "Hmmmm, belief based? Okay then...."

Daven used his experience in magick to clearly visualize a nice small home, verandas and sleeping areas, very much like his villa back in the Kitsune Court. In a few moments it was standing before him, shielded from the howling winds and torrents of sunlight of the rest of this area.

"Please, may I invite you to my home?" he asked ironically with a bow.

"No, no. Any friend of mine doesn't make a house. He stays at mine with my fiance and my daughter might be moving in." Kazi said his face cracking in a huge smile "You were going to Earth to fight Hollows, correct?"

Yomiko Shihouin

A tall wooden door materialized behind Kazi. The door opened slowly to reveal Yomiko with a very apathetic look on her face. Just returning from the Soul Society, she was planning on taking a break from the set of rounds her grandfather gave her. She groaned in frustration before she actually took notice to the unknown reiatsu round her. She looked around to see the head Captain. She paused for a moment before looking at Kazi. What did he just do?

"Kazi! What did you do to make the head Captain come here?" She asked quickly.

"I didn't do anything with one of my oldest friends!" Kazi said defiently "His door just broke!" Kazi said "Daven, this is my beautiful fiance, Yomiko Shihouin. Yomiko, this is Daven Moto, my oldest friend in the world. We kinda... sortaish grew up together... well, I was the first one he met in the Society, and I tried to kill him, and he tried to kill me, and yeah, that is how it began. We're the two oldest people alive. I am still youthful because of some of the crap I do with the sciences, and he is young because he is a Fox, and his Fox magic keeps him looking young." Kazi said smiling

Daven bowed politely to Kazi's fiancée. "As your soon to be husband said, my Gate malfunctioned. I found myself here. I was planning on going to Earth to train with a new power I seem to have acquired from someplace, but now I'm not so sure if it wasn't serendipity that brought me here."

Daven allowed himself to be led through the bare minimum of formalities. Kazi was never one to drag out formal proceedings when he had something on his mind, and Daven's appearance here was one big question mark.

Once the bare minimums were out of the way, Daven plunged right into the heart of the matter.

After speaking for about a half an hour about the whole situation he found himself in, the Z symbol, the slaughter of the Hollows, the execution of the Shinigami a while back, the near take over from the Berzerker and the alliance with the Warrior, the symbol and all the resulting changes he had noticed, he explained his training desires.

"Somehow I have found myself with these powers. My senses are enhansed which would make sense if I was in my Fox form, but since I'm not it is odd. I can feel further, and I can see better, hear more and so on. For instance, even with all this chaotic reiatsu around, I can tell that Fiey is here, another kid's reiatsu I can't identify and ...."

Daven stopped as he recognized Iu's reiatsu. "So, this is what happened to him." His attention turned to Yomiko. "And you were there too."

He spun away from the table and his sword sang as it left the sheath. Behind Kazi Daven shunpoed and the sword's edge was at Kazi's throat in an instant.

"You have one chance to explain why you kidnapped the Captain of 4th Squad. You two were there, I can smell your scent now that it's not being overwhelmed by the spirit particles of the Soul Society. What did you do?"

****

"He had an accident." Kazi said "I can't believe that you would put me on the same level as ordinary kidnappers!" Kazi said fake tears running down his eyes "What happened was that he began a transformation... Daven, your magic is weakening." Kazi said "The powers you sealed away thousands of years ago are, at this moment, reawakening...." Kazi paused for a moment, trying to decide whether he should explain further "I have been developing a system which allows for me to receive a warning wherever there is to be something along these lines. I then simply press a button on my pocket watch, and a Mini-portal opens up leading me to the person, who I then apprehend with my own special brand of a**-kicking, and then bring here for recovery and training."

Daven thought for a bit. He considered the possibilities and eventually made a decision.

"Fine." He put his sword away and moved back to where he was at before.

He sighed heavily and rubbed his head. "It's been a stressful few years here lately. I'm seeing enemies where there aren't any. Sorry about that."

"Make no mistake, I'm an enemy." Kazi said offhandedly "I don't like the system of racism and prejudice instilled in the 13 Court Guards and above.I find it sickening, and I want to integrate the systems of Hollows, Quincy, Bount, Shinigami, Vaizard, and Arrancar."

Daven thought for a bit. "Quincy I can see as part of the Society. I can understand integrating the Bount because of what the Society did to them so long ago. But not Hollows, not Arancar. They are enemies and they kill and kill and kill. They need to be destroyed utterly.

"I hate Vizard with almost everything I have, they are cheats and they shortcut everything that you should work on. Training and discipline are the hallmarks of a Warrior, and instead, they circumvent things by taking the easy path of Hollowfication. And these cheaters think they are on the same level as with a Captain and deserve the same respect? No even.

"It's like a professional gambler stacking the deck to win at a competition. You can't gauge skill or ability when you do that."

"Most Vaizard are like that, and my Hollow Bob is a very good perso--- er, pet." Kazi said "And some Arrancar are only fighting because they love to fight. Most hate Aizen and serve him out of fear." Kazi explained "I am a vaizard as is Yomiko, Jan, and a few others. We are special because we became Vaizard after achieving power, and it occurred by accident."

"Well, I'm on the other side. I am a Shinigami who can, probably, kick any Vizard's backside mainly because I'm powerful, and I earned it through effort, not shortcuts. That's what irritates me so much about the current crop of students. They think that they should be powerful because they want it, not because they earned it.

"Like now. I know absolutely nothing about this new power, except it reacts to Vizard/Hollow energy, it seems to be 'darker' some how than my normal power, it ups my senses and my reiatsu levels and seems to be centered around this Enochian Z seal. So what am I doing? Training to find out. Not just jumping in and using it.

"I tell ya... kids these days....."

Daven looked at his hosts wryly.

"So, what happened to Iu and how and why did he end up here?"

Daven was quiet for a while. He looked for answers in his mizo soup. He found none.

"Well, maybe he will find peace here."

He looked back up at Kazi.

"Well, since you seem to be the guy to go to for training, maybe you can help me train my new abilities. Before they get out of hand. I tell you, the Berserker is a nasty piece of work, and I'm not totally confident that I've contained him. I feel pressure at the seal all the time, and even more so now, in the presense of all this Hollow energy."

He stopped and looked a bit contemplative. "Maybe he's my version of an inner hollow? I haven't sought him out, but it would fit the facts as I know it. And hollow energy making him stronger, that would fit the little bit I know.

"So that would make the Warrior, kind of an anti-hollow. A hollow guard? Bah! I don't know..."

"Very well then." Kazi said as he drew Benikarasu, and placed the blade onto Daven's stomach. Immediatly a red glow spread over the chest and a seal appeared on Daven's forehead "Daven, this is my form of Magyk. Demon Magyk." Kazi said laughing "I spent the entire time we didn't see each other to perfect one form of magic you could never touch, and now your power is down to 1/100 of what it was, and it will kill you unless you break the Curse. Oh, and the magic is based off of Hollow-spells, so it might be useful to try out the Beserker."

Daven looked skeptical. "Okay, but I'm not going to hold back."

If Kazi responded at all Daven didn't hear. He had turned his attention inward to his own mind, soul and the æthers to see what was going on.

He saw that the magick was acting as a shield all over his body, holding and containing his powers, not necessarily sealing them off. But if he couldn't force the powers past this shell, it was effectively sealed off. So there were two ways he could break this seal.

He could overpower it with superior force, breaking the seal because it couldn't contain what was inside, or he could unravel it from the inside. All things considered Daven preferred to unravel a spell like this, simply because exact application of precise force is how he was trained. In most cases, applying the correct force at the right place could most often destroy things that were actually superior in power.

But since the point of this was to overpower it, Daven decided to take the unlikely path and simply blow this seal away.

In the landscape of his mind, Daven saw the seal on the Berserker, holding him in the ground.

He knew the seal holding the Berserker down was only temporary. But it was what he had for right now.

He could feel the curse weakening him, so he had to work fast.

First thing, he merged with the Warrior again, holding all the energy of them both and using it to put pressure on the Curse Kazi put on him. And while it did weaken and it did have an effect on the curse, it didn't break through.

Reluctantly, Daven broke the seal on the Berserker. He erupted out of the ground and was ready to fight. Daven/Warrior and the Berserker fought for some time, and he felt the energies breaking loose. He knew that there was enough power to destroy the seal Kazi put on him, but now it was a matter of harnessing it.

He worked the fight around again so that he had the advantage over the Berserker again, and he grabbed him by the throat, making him helpless for a little bit. He used the spirit form of Kidorui Genso to open a huge chasm under the mountain that was the Avatar of Kidorui Genso, and he hurled the Berserker down there at the base of the mountain.

Oh, yeah! THAT did it!

Daven watched as the power of the Berserker channeled up through the Mountain of Kidorui Genso, exponentially increasing the flow through the spirit of the Zanpakto. With a thought, Daven/Warrior jumped into the stream at the top of the mountain, and added their power to it.

The environment shattered around him. The Spiritual Power that exploded out of him dwarfed anything he had ever seen before, from Hollow, to Arancar, to Espada to Jan-san's bankai, to Daven's Bankai, to anything ever.

----------------

He opened his eyes, and he felt the seal on his powers shatter, and it exploded around him, destroying furniture, knocking Kazi and his fiancé around, but the house contained it all. He took some time and looked around.

He could feel the power in his hands, the power black and hard. He looked at Kazi and could tell that his eyes were glowing from the shadows cast on the walls.

He should be afraid now, very afraid.

"Hmm." Kazi said looking closely at Daven "Good thing we're here.... Otherwise I might be in trouble....." Kazi said as he clicked the watch and trapped Daven in an unshakable, and more importantly unbreakable time-space barrier "Now Berserker, I am going to say this now. You can do what ever you want in there. Now have fun." Kazi said as he clicked another button and Daven was transported into a pocket dimension filled to the brim in Gillan and Vasto Lorde.

The amalgam that was Daven looked out of the eyes and saw all the Menos around. The Gillan were not going to be much of a problem, but the Vasto Lorde could be.

But whatever. He started killing. Not with the Sword, not with his bare hands, but with the glow that was about his fists. He knew that it was some sort of power that he had managed to harness from the combination of his Berserker side, Kidorui Genso, The Warrior and himself. All that power, channeled and working together, made this power possible.

He didn't know what to call it, but it felt like a sin. And suddenly he knew, somehow, that the name of the being he was to be a Zaigou, a Sin against nature. And continuing the theme, he decided to call this black beam of energy that he was firing all around himself a Reido, or Zero. This all fit together neatly.

He worked, he killed. He found that when the Gillan fired Cero at him, that his Reido canceled it out, destroying it and blasting through. The Vasto Lorde tried stopping him with higher level Cero blasts, and Daven the Zaigou laughed and canceled them with his Reido blast. He did have some trouble as their blasts were stronger, but the blasts didn't get through to hit him.

He discovered something as he used these blasts, firing them from one fist, then the other, then both, if he stopped and wrapped this strange energy around him, all the Cero blasts coming in from many different areas were negated. It didn't destroy the blast, or go through and impact the firing hollow, but it did act as a body shield and prevent damage to himself from them.

He felt like a one man wrecking crew. He was destroying these Menos Grande like they were regular hollows. It was incredible.

He took damage, he would get hit or he would get cut, but it was minor. He found that he could smell the Menos in this area. He could see them easily, and he could feel their reiatsu without needing a locater beacon. He kept killing.

Soon, the Gillan were running, and even the control the Vasto Lorde had over them couldn't stop the retreat. Some of the Gillan dissolved into individual hollows when Zaigou Daven came at them. It was like he was destroying whatever it was that kept them solid.

He drew his zanpakto out of its sheath. Time for another experiment.

His sword was powerful enough to destroy these beings when it hit them, but that wasn't what Daven was looking to test. He wanted to see if he could fire these Reido beams from his weapon.

And he found that he could. It was very interesting to watch the black energy come flying off the blade and attack the nearest Vasto Lorde. But at one point he heard something behind him and knew that another Vasto Lorde got the drop on him and that he was going to be hurt. He didn't have time to redirect his hands, but the tip of his sword was pointed in that general area, while his arm holding his sword was outthrust. He willed the Reido up the sword and to fire out the tip of the sword, taking the energy nearly 90 degrees from where it should be fired.

And it worked. The energy fired nearly backwards behind him and vaporized the major Menos.

Daven jumped off to another area. He had to take a few minutes to figure this out.

The combination of the Berserker channeling his energy through Kidorui Genso, into the Warrior and Daven combined put him into this Zaigou state and allowed him to have access to these enhanced senses and the Reido blasts. He could fire it from his hands, and presumably his feet as well, it was a distance weapon which he had been trying to find, not needing to be close to the target at all to fire it, shooting off like Iron Man's blasts did. He could direct it out of the Sword, and presumably out of the other forms of Kidorui Genso as well, from his Shikai and Bankai, to the chain in his Shikai form. That probably meant that there were some additional levels of this Reido he could use if he went into his Shikai release and then to his Bankai. Which would make things very interesting.

The symbol on his forearm was burning again, glowing with a black light. And he noticed that his eyes were burning again with that same light, as well as his tails. It was almost a violet or dark purple to black flame that was haloing his tails and limbs.

He decided to go all out. He summoned his Bankai release, he focused his reiatsu into the Flash Cry, and he summoned all his power as a Zaigou and put it into one strike that he used to hit one of the Vasto Lordes.

The devastation was immeasurable.

The Vasto Lorde vaporized, but the blast and shockwave from the strike washed out in a wave from him, taking the Reido energy with it, destroying everything in its path. It was definitely a wave of energy, and he could see the blast as it rolled through the ranks of the Menos Grande. He jumped high into the air so he could see where it was going, what it was doing.

He had to keep going up, because while he could see the wave of energy, it hadn't crested. There was a swath starting from where he had been standing that reached a width of about 500 meters or so wide. And the energy kept rolling.

There wasn't anything left in its wake.

Daven shunpoed to the wave as it rolled along, already better than five kilometers from where it started, and the wave was JUST now cresting. It looked like a black water dragon that flowed along and destroyed everything.

And when the wave broke and hit, it spread out even more.

Gillan and Vasto Lordes were gone. They had been packed almost cheek to jowl in this dimension, so close that they couldn't stand. Now, the area behind them was fused to glass and there wasn't anything left. No hills, no plants, no creatures, no monsters, nothing.

He jumped straight up again, and he could see, a swath of destruction leading six kilometers from where it started, and reaching to one and a half kilmeters wide at the end where nothing remained.

Good thing I can't do that very often. I feel totally fagged out. I'm completely spent. The Zaigou symbol was no longer glowing, nor was there any energy around him like before. He was spent.

Time to get back to Kazi.

He tore a hole in reality where Kazi had sent him to, and stepped through to the house again, where Daven, the most powerful Shinigami in the Sereitei, the leader of the Forces of the 13 Protection Squads, second only to the Central 46 and the King of the Spirit World, fainted dead away near where he had been eating at.

"Very nice my friend." Kazi said clapping "My thoughts were correct, as always. You are now Zaigou. And be thankful, that there is one being in the multiverse that can stop you and maybe destroy you if the need arises." Kazi said "And I'll do it when you're not almost dead." Kazi said as he pulled out a small box and threw it over Daven. Almost immediately a box surrounded Daven and began to emit a soft green light "God bless Iu for showing me the wave lengths of reiatsu needed to heal someone... my Soft Box."

Daven rolled over and groaned. He opened his eyes and looked at Kazi.

"Zaigou is from the ancient texts...." Kazi began to explain "I never learned what it was exactly but it seems to be the negative of all things that are Hollow. It is akin to Hollow powers, and at the same time, it is the exact opposite. The power you are wielding is going to eventually become unstable. When that happens, I will kill you, because the power that will be released from you will wipe all life off the multiverse." Kazi concluded with one last statment "Daven, as you are now, you are almost invincible, but when the time comes, I will be gathering together 9 people to destroy you. I will bring forth the 9 Dragons of Magyk."

Daven got thoughtful again. "Understood. Whenever anyone becomes a danger to everyone they need to be destroyed. I'd do it to you if you had the same problem."

He spent some time thinking over his situation. There was a lot that needed to be considered. And lots of sober contemplation.

While he was relaxing and working in his own mind, he made sure to separate himself from the Warrior, breaking the causality chain and removing himself from the Zaigou state. The darkness around him lifted, his scar stopped glowing and he relaxed even more.

"Looks like another trip to the Kitsune library is in order. Besides, I have to document all this from what I experienced. It needs to be in the archives.

"I hope you both are not hurt too much. Also, any time you want to visit the Sereitei, please feel free to come."

Daven slept for several hours, and when he woke he was completely refreshed. The three hours he slept, was longer than he normally slept, but it was much less than most would have slept given similar circumstances.

He had been arranging things in his mind and he was now happy with what had happened. It was done, and there was no undoing it.

Something had changed though, and now he knew how the Vizards felt. Those who found this power in their hands were not to blame. Those who sought it out were still lazy in his opinion, but he could empathize with the daily struggle to keep from falling over into the overwhelming temptation of power.

He would have to be very careful.

So, he got out of bed, pulled on a few clothes, worked out for an hour, just to loosen up his muscles and get the blood flowing. And once he was done with that, he sat down at the table he had in his room.

First thing first, he wrote a note to the three tailed kitsune in charge of the Grand Library of the Kitsune requesting ALL texts dealing with the Zaigou, not only factual, but fiction, speculation, biography, all of them. Once that note was done, he sealed it with his reiatsu, put his personal family crest on it and sent it off with an air elemental to take to the Library. He knew that it should be sufficient to be loaned copies of the texts in question, and they would be the ones to find the proper entries.

While waiting, he took out the journal he had started when he first discovered this power. He spent several hours writing everything that he experienced, thought, saw and more. He noted what he had gone through, what happened, the mental and spiritual changes he had had occur, and all of his speculations. He filled half the book in that time.

By that time, a package had been delivered to him. He opened it and found several texts dealing with the Zaigou. With this he started reading and researching.

---------------------

It took several hours, but he finally had more than he knew.

Apparently his execution of one of his own started a chain of events that lead to this point. The trauma of having to do that execution apparently broke the Berserker loose in his soul, and the hollow slaughter only compounded the problem. According to the texts he read, he had done it backwards. Many stated that contrary to how Daven did it, the way it had been done by others was the slaughter first, then the execution. This acted as if the cliff face had a fire built at the bottom of it, fed so that it kept heating the rock to a higher and higher temperature, and then finally the execution acted as the water thrown on the cliff, breaking and shattering the rock.

The Warrior in this apparently acted as a Guardian of the Zanpakto. The danger was strong enough that it was possible that the Inner Hollow could lose control and take the power of the zanpakto. There were already bonds there since the zanpakto was made out of Daven's spirit in the first place, any personality or entity sharing his soul would also share those connections.

As such, there needed to be an external (or would that be internal) guard to stand between the zanpakto and protect it.

The interesting thing is that all the pieces working in concert were much greater than the sum of the parts. Each of these were taken out of his soul, his mind, his reiatsu. The Warrior was him, the Berserker was him, Kidorui Genso was also him, all of them were his soul. But this kind of power was no where near being available to him when he wasn't "broken", but now that he was shattered, there was a synergy among the group that so far surpassed the total it was awe inspiring.

It was tempting to see how far this progression could be taken. However, this would not be an experiment he would be conducting.

But the down side of this breaking meant there was a weakness between the parts. It meant that it was possible for one part to dominate the others and take over. And at that point he became a danger to everyone.

He was going to be keeping Kazi in his mind so that if this ever became a problem, he could be called upon. Kazi would be his ace in the hole, the failsafe.

But there was a flip side to this same coin. It was theorized in one text that the Zaigou were created by the Gods to keep the checks on the Vizards as well. The Vizards were easily just as dangerous for many of the same reasons, and since they were working WITH their Inner Hollow, instead of guarding against it, it was even more dangerous.

He noted all this down as well, to make a complete record of all this. It did very little good to others if there was no real record of what was happening. Hopefully Daven's record could become the first. He made sure to put down the references he used and to cite his sources.

Once he was done with all that, he cloned the book again and then once more to give copies to others. One copy would stay with Kazi. The other would go into the Library in the Sereitei. He made sure that they all were linked together. He tried to modify one of the copies, and they refused to be altered, but Daven's master copy could be.

He wrapped up the references he used and sent them back to the Kitsune library. He made sure copies of the relevant passages were in his journal, and that they were in context.

All this took an incredible amount of time. Since he had not been disturbed, Daven assumed that orders had been left to leave him alone until Daven emerged from the room.

He stood, did some stretches, flexed his cramped hands and looked over his work. Nearly a week's worth of work and research done in just a few hours. He was pretty proud of this.

He made sure that one of the Hell's Butterflies took the Sereitei's copy of his journal back to the library, and then he made sure that Kazi's was ready to be archived here.

He sighed deeply, got some food and a few drinks, then relaxed again.

"Hmmmm...." Kazi said to himself as he finished conducting the experiments. "The power is going to hit critical... his base power was high already, the magic side of him is insane, and when somebody can keep a hold on me for 5 days straight then you know we have a problem...."

Kazi used his watch to leave the carnage of the Ranch, out of the 300,000 Gillian that he housed there, there were only around 500 and the 10,000 Vasto Lorde were all destroy but for 15 of them.

"Daven, we're going to have to keep an eye on you." Kazi said as a door opened up in front of Daven "If anything is to happen, I promise that at most you will die, and at the least, I will kill the Zaigou power."

"Well, right now I think I've got a handle on it. I'm glad you took a look and I'm shocked at the amount of devastation that I caused.

"Oh, here's a copy of my personal journal dealing with this. When I update my copy, this gets updated. The only other copies are in the Sereitei restricted library and the Kitsune library. Scientific process." He smiled.

"I'm not noticing anything that could cause a meltdown, and I can promise that I probably am not going to be going as wild as I did in practice. I can't think of any situation where I would need that much power, unless Aizen decided to invade again."
