I was thinking of changing my name recently, tired of the old "Ariaziane", and it got me thinking... My name has been through a lot, people know me as Aria, just as people know all of you as TIM, or Ginji, Zi, Paul, and so on... Where did your names come from? What was the inspiration?
And... Should I leave my name, or should I begin anew?

... By the way, my name, Ariaziane, is from a character in a book called "Wish You Were Here" by Vincent M. Wales, a local author. Ariaziane was a traumatized, and inspiring character.

Well, to be honest...Most of my friends irl and online from other games actually know me as Naru. But, yeah, everyone here knows me as Ginji. Umm...Ginji first came to be my name one day in the old motherhsip thread when I was talking to Nite-chan. She said I reminded her of Ginji from Getbackers. I thought about it, but because I liked my name already, I simply made it my agent name. Then, after my main was banned from gaia, I decided I would add Ginji to my avy name and agent name, because I had to start over kinda anyways...So that's why I'm known as Ginji now. That and the name fits my personality. Now, I know that once upon a time TIM thought of changing his name...buthe didn't. I don't think I'd change my name unless I had too, but that doesn't mean you can't, if you want to. Besides, I only know you as Ari...What else would your name be? The only thing I'd change my name to right now is Naru...but what's the point, since I'm known as Ginji anyway? You see what I mean?

Truthfully, with this name I was just trying to figure out something that shortened to MD and different element combinations were the first thing that popped into my head.
My main Tizzan, though, came about because it was a nickname that an old friend gave me and I've been using it for everything since.
To answer your other question, you should probably just leave your name as is. It works and you can come up with different nicknames for it.

I have had the name Clone Yami for a while now. I thought of it because when I created it I was a geek who liked that stupid card game cartoon show and Clone was from Star Wars kinda. I have just been interested in the name Clone.
And you should keep it the same.

My name used to be 8Tokio_doll8, until somebody pointed out a capitalized "i" looks like an "L".
thus I became Tokiodoii. biggrin
and I think my name is that because my avi used to look like a really creepy doll. and that was too simple, so I threw "Tokio" on the front, 'cuz I love how it's spelled.
