Does anyone know any sites that have DIY bento box instruction? I want to know how to make my own box instead of buying one of the net. All the sites I've looked up only have recipes and instructions for the food.

You mean as in the box itself? It would depend on what you're looking for from your Bento

I've been looking for that too. I'm thinking I'll just go to the Doller Store and get two tupperware containers. One as the box and I can cut the other to be the dividers. Then I can paint the tupperware as I wish and then put a finish on it. I think it might work.

It depends on what you want it made from, how complex (compartmentalised or just two-tiered like mine?) and whether you want it to keep things warm/cold.
I can throw a brief design together at lunch tomorrow if you tell me these things. (I am a draughtsperson, see.)

Do you live near a Japanese store, or any Oriental store?
I live near a Marukai, a Mitsuwa, and a Nijiya. whee
