'nuff said *HAVE FUN! Other Info:*Thread opens as soon as the [ORP] is in the title. *ICly the party will probably go from noon to 6pm or so; OOCly the thread will probably stay open for a week. So have fun, relax and write your characters in and out as needed. *Keeta is going to be posting "prompts" here and there, saying when the "whole group activities" are beginning and ending (such as the cake cutting, the pinata, etc; for more information, see post 5). Your character is not required to participate in these activities, but please don't RP your character doing one of these things when it hasn't been announced. The "small group activities" are things your character is free to do at any time. *There are two contests for the best/ most creative musical instrument made from scratch and for the best musical performance. Get creative and RP your character doing these things. There are prizes for the winners, and if I see a lot of good creative efforts being made I may throw in some extra things! *Please feel free to PM me with any questions!

The Birthday Children The stars of the show NataliaLikes: Pansies, Violins, Bells, and Making Lots of Noise. Moments spent outside in the shade. Her favorite foods are sweet fruits. She enjoys company when out and about because the only company on the island is that of her siblings, and her parents. Dislikes: Being told what to do and when to do it. Really hates when she is treated like she is a child. Hobbies: Being read to and playing the violin. Height: 4'4 Weight: 70 pounds Age: A whopping one year old. Resembles a ten year old child. It is predicted that by the age of three/four she will be full grown. Personality: Having come out of the quiet reserve of being a toddler she is energetic, and loves to make noise. She does not let her vision impairment hold her back. On rare occasions she can see for a minute or so but it is very energy draining. Still possessive of her things but she is doing really well in learning to share. The stronger her will power becomes the more out of control her temper becomes. She has to learn to control herself- so at times it can seem as if she is riding an emotional roller coaster. Other: Sight is a fleeting thing for her... JoelLikes: Music, "pretty colors," watching things, getting into trouble. He prefers the company of adults. Favorite foods are cheerios and raisins. Dislikes: HATS. Sharing with other children. Being told "no." Height: 2'5'' Weight: 30 lbs. Age: "Officially" one, however developmentaly, he's somewhere around 2-2.5 yrs old. Personality: Joel would never be described as shy. He's always ready to meet someone new and doesn't hesitate to say hello. He's curious and likes being involved in whatever is going on around him. Mostly good natured, although he's not above throwing a temper tantrum if things don't go his way. He has an adventerous streak, but doesn't ever travel too far from his comfort zone (mom). He's slowly adjusting to having to share things with his new sister Camille.

The Location Barton Public ParkWhere: Just outside the southen gate of Barton Proper, NE of the Goof course. It is inside a fenced area that is protected from the Animated. Amenities:*A large play area for the kids to run around in (a portion of it is pictured above). Other play equipment includes swings, large slide and tetherball. *Large flat grass area perfect for placing blankets on, playing frisbee or just running around. *Shaded ramada areas with tables *Basketball, volleyball and tennis courts *A paved walking/ running/ biking path that runs the perimeter of the park *Lots of trees for shade and climbing *A large decorative fountain for ambiance (and spashing when no grown-ups are looking) *Drinking fountains *Restrooms (the slightly nicer than a port-a-potty variety) The PartyKeeta has reserved two of the shaded ramadas that are side by side. The insides of the ramadas have been decorated with a rainbow of colored streamers hanging from the ceilings. Between the two ramadas hangs a sign reading "Happy Birthday!" A guitar-shaped pinata also hangs from the edge of one ramada. Each ramada has four tables that have been covered with a white table cloth. Small plastic black music notes (of the confetti variety) lay scattered across the tables as decoration. One of the tables has been set aside for food. Another table has been set aside for gifts, prizes and party favors. A third table contains board games and other amusements for the party. The other five tables are for seating party guests as needed.

In no particular order, they are:*Pin the tail on the Donkey *Marco Polo (aka Blind Man's Bluff) *Pinata *Freeze Dance *Musical contest, where kids can come up and try their hand at playing an instrument or singing a song. She has also planned for small group activites that will probably be going on simultaniously:*Creating your own musical instrument (intended for those in the child and teen stages) - using various "common" household items such as paper bags, paper plates, rubber bands, dry beans, beads, old toilet paper rolls, cardboard, macaroni, aluminum foil, rice, old cleaned out milk cartons, etc.((get creative and describe what you come up with. The best will win a prize!)) *A selection of real musical instruments for the children to experiment with: a xylophone, hand drums, maracas, various flutes, hand bells, tambourines, harmonicas, panpipes, etc. *A variety of board games are available including: chess, monopoly, trouble, candy land and chutes and ladders. *Balls, frisbees and jumpropes for playing with *There is a group of things with interesting smells and/or textures that are hidden from view. Party guests can try their hands at guessing what the objects are!

Gift Table Gifts are by no means required, but if you do bring a gift for one of the birthday children, PM it to Keeta and she can post it here. For JoelFrom Jiao'lanFor BothOmirao Inside the badly wrapped packaging, you will find two large jars. One will be filled with sparkling purplish powder, the other with sparkling greenish powder. There is a small one-tablespoon scoop tied to each jar, along with small funnels. Each jar also has two vials just big enough for one scoop of the powders to fit inside. For the image, the vials look like the one on the right. Ignore the left-side thing. Also included are four longish (but adjustable) fine-chain necklaces. The vials hook onto these, so they can be easily carried around. The purple powder is a defense thing--if the children are ever in physical danger from an outside force then they would simply open the vial containing the purple powder and fling the powder into the air above them. It will create a protective 'bubble' (not literally, it's invisible except for miniscule glimmers that may surround the user from the sparkling dust) that won't hamper their speed, if they start running. The protection will last about four, possibly five hours. The purple powder is toxic if ingested quickly in any great amount. The green powder is meant to be swallowed. It tastes a bit like grapes, and will heal any kind of minor infirmity (Colds, scrapes, cuts, bruises, poisons, etc).
