Submachina: Noli Manere in Memoria Character Profiles
Okay, first up are the rules on creating your character.
All elementals of the same type have the same potential as far as powers go, but their region affects their specialties. Powers MUST be limited. Elementals can control every state of their elements, but please do not go overboard and call down a colossal Tsunami or a huge earthquake or bring up a volcano from the ground or anything along those lines.
And, just to clarify, earth elementals hold control not only over earth and rocks but over plants also, allowing them to speed up the growth of them or increase the potency of medicinal herbs and even control them. Water elementals cannot use water to heal but they can increase its ability to help with things that water normally helps with such as soothing a burn or kill off certain poisons. Light and dark elementals can make their element almost tangible turning it to something of a weapon.
And finally no elemental can spontaneously generate their element from nothing; they need access to it or they are powerless.

Weapons: A shortsword that is rarely drawn.
Appearance: Young Average hieght sand colored hair a dark seafaring tan deep blue eyes a constant broad smile never wears shoes athletic build never wears a full shirt and always carrys around a Dried gourd full of Sake or water.
Personality: Happy go lucky inquisitive and hyperactive at times but also easily bored he commonly wanders off.
Bio: Kai was born into an ancient tribe of nomadic seafarers who reside on a small village assembled out of boats and rafts. His alingment with the water god was noticed quickly as he was not hesitant to exert his controll over it. At 12 he was already an accomplished sailor and passed his rite of passage earlier than most of his kin so at 13 he constructed his boat and went out on his own and he has been doing so ever since.

Appearance: Tall(ish), Long pale blond hair, sea green eyes, thin(almost too thin), pale skin(despite long time spent outside), typically shoeless or with sandals, bikini or other light weight clothes., and a beautiful smile.
Personality: Sweet, light-hearted, a slow temper--personality draws people in, like an undertow
Bio: She spends a lot of time at the beach and in sea caves. She surfs, beach combs, explores coral reefs, hikes, and lots of other out-door activities. Lives with single aunt--parents died in terrible boat accident when she was three that also nearly killed her.

Appearance
Your basic blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy. Always wears a leather jacket and his brother's dog tags.
Personality: Externally, Mike is a smartypants. He often challenges authority, but in more of a mockingly, joking way. He often counters questions. With his peers he may unintentionally make others feel out of place, but he has no real problems making friends. Dry sarcasm is his favorite flavor of humor, and he often laughs at his own jokes. He often doesn't think about things before he acts on them.
However, when Mike makes a friend, he never lets go of them. He goes out of his way to help that friend, no matter what, and he stays loyal until the end, or other circumstances. Inside, he's rather curious about the things around him, and that usually gets him into mischief. Mike tries his best to do what's right, even if the choice isn't popular.
Bio: Born in a crime-infested city, Mike's family was part of the working, middle class. He had an older brother who had gone to war, but died on the front lines, and Mike now wears his dog tags. Mike tries constantly to live up to his brother's standards, but doesn't do a very good job, according to his parents.
Mike had a tendency to play with matches or lighters in order to relax. He took up smoking at one point, but quit, for it wasn't an addiction, and it didn't provide him the high or comfort he needed after his brother's death and his parents' neglect.
They divorced when Mike was fifteen.
He then became a little more emotionally unstable, and all the while, slowly losing his closest friends and falling into stages of depression.
Then, in a desperate attempt to get them back together somehow, Mike decided to run away from home, and travel the world. He not only wanted to escape his old life, but he wanted to see the world with his own eyes.
Mike came back home after a year.
Things had not changed after living on the streets, and his parents didn't recognize him, as he was thrown out. His father was more of a drunk, and his mother had moved on. Torn apart, he left home again in search of a better life, and, on the way, discovering his unique gift, unaware of the Empire's watch over him.

Appearance: Tall, thin and pale with knee length blue hair.
Personality: Quiet and shy, she doesn't seem to talk much, if at all. Serious and melancholy, she doesn't really have a wide range of emotions, or if she does, she hides it well. Overprotective and fearful, she will often act in an unpredictable and irrational manner.
Bio: A child of the Exmachina Empire, she was born to teenage parents who weren't ready for a child. As such, Jessie spent her early years at a gloomy orphange until it burnt down when she was eleven. From that day forward, they she has to fend for herself, wandering the dirty alleyways of the Empire alone and friendless. As a result, she trusts no one but herself. Still, as a member of the Empire, she sees the elementals as her enemy, and now that she is old enough, she sees it as her duty to make sure they do not rise up against the Empire.
Other: Suffers from congenital adrenal hyperplasia and excessive paranoia.

Furthering the potential of these machines, scientists are creating low leveled artificial intelligence chips to install the machines and hopefully replace human soldiers. Everyone knows machines dont have emotions or reason.
They can be destroyed, however, and they can be reprogrammed, if you live to do so.

Appearance: Tall and powerful with balanced features and long dark hair and an ample chest ( biggrin ) she usually wears shabby clothes and partial body armor stolen from wayward soldiers.
Personality: Tough and brutal at times but she is also relatively compassionate and would die for those she considers worth protecting.
Bio: Demitra lived in a small village in the mountains that was attacked by the Exmachina empire when she was only five, She was found and raised by a notorious group of bandits known as the Red Earth. She quickly rose among the ranks and is now the leader until a surprise attack when she was away destroyed the small army she had gathered in the mountains.

Weapons: a handful of darts she keeps hidden on her at all times, a small and extremely rarely used handgun (about a .22 or maybe even something less powerful/small), and herself.
Appearance: A little shorter than average height, thin but normally so, long curly dark blonde hair, deep dark blue eyes with flecks of yellow-orange around pupil, shy smile, loose fitting but elegant clothing(like wrap shirts with large sleeves and pants with spacious leg room. Things that flow.).
Personality: Sweet, friendly but shy, curious, adventurous, elusive.
Bio: Lived deeper inland with her family until a month ago when her father had to move her small family to the city for a job. She was trained in karate, how to shoot most guns, self defense classes, and the typical offensive and defensive ways of her fellow air elementals. Her family is part of the ever shrinking population. She’s one of the last younger ones alive. She hates the city but enjoys the breezes she can catch from her sixth story apartment.

Personality: Innocent, carefree, and more optimistic than her brother.
Bio: Lucien's younger sister who prefers to tag along everywhere her older brother goes. She dearly loves her brother, Acting childishly affectionate next to him. Being the only girl in the family, she wasn't required to learn how to assassinate. However, she still enjoys entering the shooting range with a stack of throwing knives. She's more attuned with her abilities than Lucien in ways of their element so she can do more than he can with little problems and hold on to it for a much longer period of time.

Personality: Quiet, secretive, anxious, introverted, and silently grateful for what he has
Bio: Before and during Mike's runaway days, Cameron was one of Mike's first friends. Even today Cameron waits outside an hour a day at the 'base' for his friend to show at a certain time of day, and Mike usually shows up and they spend the day (or week) together. Other than that, usually keeps to himself reading, writing, or day dreaming. Cameron didnt always like Mike's company, for he felt Mike was too loud and obnoxious. And he was right, but grew to appreciate Mike more and got to know what he was really like.
He got to know what powers Mike possessed, and he has become somewhat ... envious since then, but still looks up to Mike as an individual, and as a best friend.

Bio: The only child of two light elementals. She makes her home on one of the many tropical islands that dot the near endless sea. When she's not at school, she spends her time practicing controlling her power, or what little of it she can with the elemental gods restricted. In the future, she envisions a world without the Exmachina Empire, and where the elementals can live freely without fear of persecution.
