Alrighty guys, as the last day of school for most of you is today, I thought I'd remind you all that our very own Professor Alakazam, Doctor Slowking and Headmistress Gardevoir have a bit of summer homework for you all. They left me a video to show you since they all went home to visit their families already.

*Puts an old fashioned VHS tape in a VCR and hits play*

~When the video starts, it fades in focused on an aging Alakazam, the ends of it's mustache beginning to gray in color. "Hello, there ladies and gentlemen." he greets aloud, facing the camera fully, revealing a pair of specialty glasses hanging around his neck. "Many of you may already know me as Professor Oak's oft forgotten lab assistant. But I also teach young Pokemon and trainers to co-operate and grow stronger. So I have a homework assignment for all of you." he states, sounding very much like the man he claims to work with. "I want to see you all set a goal for your Pokemon and strive to reach it by the time you return to your classes come fall." he explains with a nod. "That means aiming for and reaching a certain level or building the perfect moveset, or even maximizing your Pokemon's appeal values for Contests. I hear they'll be reopening soon. Good luck with your assignment and I hope to see you doing well when classes resume." he finishes, turning to a blackboard, where he seems to be working out complex algorithms.

The video fades out and returns to view a rather young Slowking. "Hello, there young trainers and Pokemon. I doubt any of you know me, these days. I am Dr. Slowking. I once watched the ruins of Shamouti island, where a young priestess and a hero of the time saved the world from Lugia's wrath. Since then, I've decided to dedicate my worldly knowledge to helping trainers and Pokemon understand each other through travel. My summer work for you all, is to go out and visit somewhere new. Go somewhere you've never been before, grow closer to yourself, your friends and the Pokemon you bring along." he says, not bothering to slow down in the slightest. He appears to simply be droning on now, about an experience he once had with a rogue Lanturn in the Orange Sea. The video fades out at this point, leaving him to his rambling.

The video returns to view a middle aged Gardevoir. She is wearing a rather conservative blouse and a black hairbow that is dotted with as many stars as the night sky. "Hello. I am Headmistress Gardevoir." she greets with a curtsy. "I run my Pokemon Academy with an airtight focus. I know where all my students are at all times and I always know where they should be." she explains as she looks out a window beside her. "That does not, however, make me an angry, mean or unpleasant person, as some of my students might argue. I watch so carefully to keep my students safe. As such, that is all my assignment for you is, this summer. Be safe, whatever you do." she says with a warm smile. The video fades out.~

Well, that seems to be the end of this. *Turns off the VCR*

I get the feeling these assignments are suggestions for your outside lives as well as for here. You know, set goals and go for them, travels to new places, and be safe. That sounds like a good plan for any summer vacation to me. So I'll just add one final note before you go. Whatever you all do and wherever you go, we look forward to seeing you come back to us so don't go getting yourselves killed for a cheap thrill, mh-kay.
