TEAM SPROCKET RANKS ~ This was originally posted on my Team Sprocket Boss Tyro mule. I'm reposting it with the recent alterations on my main account. See below for more details ~ Hello everyone!
This is the new and improved ranks thread. It has been made to reflect the changes that have occurred to the ranks that were decided on during/after the Feedback Thread # 1. This is a continuous project, and will be revised as necessary.
How to request a rank: Post the request of what rank you would like in this thread. Please note that this thread is only for rank requests for people that have not yet requested a rank. If you have requested a rank and would like to switch, please see: [READ] Regarding switching your rank. Thanks!
If you wish to be an executive or scientist, please PM Newzpop Reporta Tyro Bong. These positions require interviews before being granted a rank.

ABOUT SECTIONSWhat are Sections? There are so many jobs within Team Sprocket, that each rank is filed into a group of ranks called a "section". Currently there are 3 major sections of occupations within Team Sprocket. These include...
1. Field Operations
-> Includes: Grunt and Trickster.
2. Organizational Defense *NEW*
-> Includes: Spy, Assassin, and Guards
3. Experimentation and Research
-> Includes: Expert and Scientist
4. Base Operations
-> Includes: Medics, Cooks, Artists
In each rank within a section (example: Grunt, Spy, Expert, Scientist, etc...) , there is a head executive that oversees all activities that occur within their rank. ( There are is only one exception to this: Organizational Defense. Organizational Defense's ranks (assassin, spy, and guards) are run by one executive.)

ABOUT EXECUTIVES, CO-EXECUTIVES,VICE-CAPTAIN and CAPTAINWho are these people? EXECUTIVES & CO-EXECUTIVES: The executives are the third highest leveled members of Team Sprocket. . Executives are in charge of overseeing activities over the rank(s) they are in charge of. Some of the executives adopt one or two co-executives to assist them in their job within Team Sprocket
VICE CAPTAIN: The second highest ranking member in Team Sprocket is the Vice Captain, who overlooks all four main sections and their individual rank-related jobs. In the case the boss is unavailable, he/she will be in charge of looking after Team Sprocket.
CAPTAIN: The leader of Team Sprocket. In charge of maintaining the guild and thread with assistance of selected crew members. The Boss regularly checks up on the other sections to see if they are completing their plans. The boss also interviews people for rank positions such as scientists and executives.

FIELD OPERATIONSWhat are Field Operations? This section is dedicated to going out into the Gaian world on field missions. The ranks under field operations often require Sprockets to interact with the populace of Gaia to accomplish missions or goals of Team Sprocket. What are this section's ranks? There are two ranks within Field Operations: Grunts and Tricksters.
Team Sprocket Grunts : This is the lowest rank in the organization. Grunts tend to be sent onto the field often tocommit evil deeds in the name of Team Sprocket. They are the majority backbone of the organization. Although many people are in this rank by default, there are many skilled members within this rank as well. While some of the skilled members may be "newbie prodigies", there are also many members with a large amount of skill & job experience as well.
Executive: Team Sprocket Edvard
Team Sprocket Tricksters: They lie, they play tricks...They are the tricksters! Their job mixes some elements of base jobs as well as the standard field occupation. Like grunts and spies they run out into the field for missions...However, they are only involved in missions and projects that specialize in deceit and trickery.
Executive: K0B0LD
Two of their well known jobs within Team Sprocket include...
- Fishermen : Suggested by Slanzer : "Their cover is that they're just everyday fishermen, but really their task is to spread evil by making it impossible for regular fishers to win a Monthly Fishing Competition. They also scour the seas by looking for future evoling fish. So far they've only caught those useless rares. I wonder if the Cooks are in the mood to cook seafood?"
- Card Sharks : Suggested by Slanzer: "They're in your Casinos, playing your Cards! Card Sharks annoy the Gold Mountain Dealers by using countless cheats while they play Blackjack. They then use their winnings to help fund the Team Sprocket organization."

ORGANIZATIONAL DEFENSEWhat is Organizational Defense? They are the thing that builds the wall between Sprocket Base and the rest of the Gaia populace. They are spread across each and every section of Team Sprocket in order to protect and defend it from outside forces. They work together to keep everything in Team Sprocket safe...and, relatively peaceful. ninja What ranks are included in this section? This section includes: Spies, Guards, and AssassinsTeam Sprocket Spies These Sprocket lurk around, trying to find information that will aid the Organizational Defense section. These sprockets are in charge of identifying the enemies during security breaches. Team Sprocket Guards: The guards are in charge of watching different entrances and pathways in the Team Sprocket Base. Some may be assigned to other specific guarding duties within the base. In the situation of a security breach, some may be sent to different parts of the organization to protect valuable Sprocket equipment, data, and so forth. Team Sprocket Assassins: Suggested by Slanzer: "If Guards are the Team's defense, these Assassins are our first wave of offense." Executive: Kotura

EXPERIMENTATION AND RESEARCHWhat is the Experimentation and Research section? The sections of Experimentation and Research vary quite differently. Please see the individual rank descriptions for more details. What are the this section's ranks ? There are two ranks within Experimentation and Research: Experts and Scientists.Team Sprocket Experts: This rank includes EvoMon researchers and their apprentices. They look within a field of research (such as a evolution item, or theme of evolution items) and monitor the evolution items' growth. Research apprentices are in charge of in-lab tasks such as feeding and cleaning evolution item specimen cages, as well as contributing to their researcher mentor's research.
Executive: Techie Creek
Team Sprocket Scientists: MWAHAHHAHA! CREATE CREATE CREATE! Team Sprocket's scientists develop gadgets for Team Sprocket to utilize in their plans. They often rely on the information researched by the Experts when developing gadgets.
NOTE 1: These gadgets are for Team Sprocket usage ONLY!
NOTE 2: In order to become a Scientist, you must pass a job interview with the Boss!

BASE OPERATIONSWhat are Base Operations? Base operations are all the ranks that take place within the base. What are this section's ranks? There are four ranks within the Base Operations section: Cooks, Medics & Artists
Team Sprocket Cooks :Originally suggested by kobold : Oh oh oh! You're a chef? Cook Team Sprocket up a nice meal! Team Sprocket's cooks are only the best! They cook delicious and often very nutritious meals for both EvoMons and Sprocket Members. However...This does not mean all their cooking is successful.... Team Sprocket Medics: Suggested by Leixi : Team Sprocket's nurses and doctors will help heal your EvoMons to 100% health! mrgreen Some doctors and nurses can also help the human (and in-human xP) avatars as well.
Team Sprocket Artists: Suggested by Krissim Klaw: "They spread propaganda about the Sprocket way, and use their mad artistic skillz to make the guild a prettier place. After all who wants to be in a guild with ugly banners and bare walls? They also use their art to seduce the Gaia populace and lure in more members. Fear their artistic powers and steep commission prices!"

ACTIVITY AND RANKS
EXPERTS, EXECUTIVE, CO-EXECUTIVE, VICE-CAPTAIN:
These ranks are expected to be fairly active if they wish to keep their positions. If they become inactive, the following is very likely to occur: The person(s) will be removed from their rank and be given the default rank (grunt). However, activity is treated on a case by case basis; inactivity doesn't necessarily spell out removal from rank if you follow the proper steps to notify the Captain and/or Vice Captain of inactivity.
Steps to keeping your rank if you plan to be inactive:
1. Contact the Captain (or Vice Captain, if Captain is not readily available)
2. Explain that there will be inactivity. (If you can/would like to, it would help to give a time estimate of how long you will be inactive.)
3. Obligation done! This will ensure that you will be able to keep your position over the specific time of being inactive. Please let it be noted that if you are in one of the top positions that a co-executive or another member of Team Sprocket may be invited to fulfill your rank while you are inactive.
RANKS NOT INCLUDING EXPERTS, EXECUTIVE, CO-EXECUTIVE, VICE CAPTAIN
Being in positions "not" in charge of something do not require you give an inactivity notice (unless you are organizing an event or project, see the sticky regarding this). It is fine, however, to let your fellow sprockets know if you're going on a hiatus via a thread in guild or PM.

Glados error 104 Under Organizational Defense, I would like to request to be a Guard. Also, if at all possible could I be lead or chief Guard? Since I think I'm the first one. There was a discussion sometime ago about the ranks spy, assassin, and guard. It was decided during this discussion, that there would be only one executive to overlook all three ranks. ( See Thread here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=15249597 ) At this time, no lead or chief guard position exists. If you would like to have this possibly considered as a rank revision, please state so in thread and we will have a group discussion on the possibility.

I would like to be an Inari's Beads expert. I am in total love with this Item, and as a result, have put a lot of time and effort into learning everything about the Beads. Please consider me for the position. If that doesn't work out, I would like to be a Scientist. Thank you for considering me.
