Fantastic, some Steamy jewelry that doesn't rely on being made of chrome-y clock parts. Not that I don't like clock parts, I just don't like all the silver tones when I'm looking for copper, brass, or that black tone that old metal gets after a few decades of dirt and grime.
Thanks for the link, I'll have to keep moseying around there to see what else I can find.

Etsy is the best place to get stuff. People have made incredible things there! You can find things extremely cheap there... and super duper expensive... but you get your money's worth. smile

Sweet zombie jesus! I just found a pair of victorian Griffin face cufflinks at the Antique store. They are amazing! They have green jem stones in the eyes that sparkle... I fell in love with them and it turns out he was willing to let them go for $10, I would have payed at least five times that if I had it. I also found, at the flea market, an odd little tie tack that is shaped like a water tap. Flea Markets are the way to go if you dont want to spend a lot. If you know what to look for you can find actual antiques that are worth a ton, for very little money. 3nodding

I'm usually there to purchase oriental themed commodities though. Anything Victorian just seems out of my reach there since I get lost pretty easily. sweatdrop

I can't ever seem to find anything that can be turned into steampunk jewelry. I don't want to order online but it may come to that. Steampunk jewelry is so beautiful though. Mabe I can find an old watch to dismantle...

tatteredoll I have someone who gives me steamy jewlery!!! It makes me happy. I'm helping him run a booth at the dark arts festivle in salt lake city in june Salt Lake City UTAH?! I am not exactly Goth so I don't know how well I would fit into a Dark Arts Festival, but is there a lot of Steamy stuff? Because I have not yet been to ANY place, really, no conventions or anything and I am not sure ANYTHING comes to Utah... I mean, you know. It's Utah. rofl

Oddly enough, I found an amazingly steampunk pin at an antique store the other day! It is, again, clock bits, but I find it very dashing (I'm wearing it right now, as it happens).

Head to a local antique mall. You'd be surprised at all the goodies you'll find. Antique keys and type face would make great accessories.
There are always tons of oil lamps that are super easy to gut and put an electric socket in.
