Just above the jet hanger lies the basketball and tennis courts. Many of the students, and on some occasions, the adults, play against each other with or without their powers. It is always populated after school hours until curfew. When the X-Men go off on missions, the courts open up to allow the jet to take off. Students know to get off the courts when it opens up and stay off until it closes back up.

S P I R I T    When you are never loved by anyone that is supposed to care for you, who does that make you? When the one person who loves you doesn't have to, how do you let go? It leaves you shattered and in pieces. Pieces you only have so long to pick up and put back together before they melt away on the ground like snow.
Benjammin Beau Bella's brisk movements around the basketball court matched only his smooth elegance, and the slow bounce that runs through his hair with every bound and leap. With kick after kick of a shiny new blue soccer ball, Ben easily moved around the dark pavement keeping the ball aloft, his body dripping with sweat from the hot sun. The ethnic movement that his body generates has been known to stop people in their tracks, and in more cases catch the eye of several passersby. Often had he been the object of obsession for many boys and girls, but who couldn't resist beautiful eye candy fit for a Greek god.
Anyone who had been at the mansion for more than a year or so knew Ben was always doing one of two things. He was either swimming like a dolphin or beating a soccer ball around with extreme agility and precision. The water was his given favorite. He could control it. It made him happy. It was one of his personal universal truths.
With a slightly harder kick the ball flew higher than normal into the air, and Ben stood up straight and relaxed his muscles before the ball bounded down on to the ground and rolled to a stop. He was tired, plus he was well over due to finish his assigned reading for history, The Odyssey by Homer. He was almost done, and far ahead of the class, but the book was one of his favorites and he couldn't help himself. Ancient Greece was enthralling to in his opinion, and the stories and tales just added to his over active imagination. Sometimes Ben could be found just sitting under a tree in the shade, just thinking.
Either way, Ben had had enough of Soccer for the day, and would be retiring to his room until dinner. After a few moments of catching his breath, Ben waltzed over to his gym bag and picked up his towel, wiping his chest and abs free of sweat. Then with a quick toss of his towel into his bag, Ben picked up his tank top and had it on within a second or two within one smooth motion.With his gym bag slung over his chest and bouncing against his butt, Benjammin walked over the black cement of the basketball court and onto the cool gray cement of the small pathway that leads one to Mansion.
He wasn't a "master smooth man" but he tried his best. He wasn't one to talk excessively, but he said what needed to be said. He had been here for quite a number of years, however being his entry was recommended by Ms.Frost, he wasn't trusted entirely by everyone.
