I was thinking about making some cosmetics and stuff, like lip glosses, perfumes, and all that... Maybe some eyeshadow.
But I wanted to ask a few questions to you guys (gals).
Are you allergic to any of the following (if yes, is it general or a certain type)?: -Ginseng -Ginger -Cinnamon -Coffee beans -Berries -Tea leaves
Basically, I want to make very aromatic cosmetics for a reason. They'll also be largely free of preservatives that large companies use (I hear a lot of complaints of allergies to them). I'm also wanting to focus more on a naturalistic beauty with a little bit of sparkle and fancy coloring, but not much.
Whatever I do probably won't be Sephora expensive (oh god, $18 for eyeshadow, wtf), but around the $10 range... It sounds expensive, but honestly, it's not too bad.
So input please~.

Vahn Malice -Ginseng -Ginger -Cinnamon-Coffee beans -Berries -Tea leaves I'm not allergic to any of these, but I have to offer a slight warning; those first three products can make the skin very sensitive, allergy or no. I love using peppermint and clove oils, and they can have similar effects as cinnamon; mainly they tingle or sting and sometimes "pinken" the skin for a time. Just a heads up, obviously. As for tea and coffee? They need a bit of care too, just because of potential caffeine content. But hey, that's an upside too! >.<

Fortunately I'm not allergic to any of those. However, as fickle lamia said, you want to be careful with those spices as well as coffee and tea. I'd rather recommend using some herbs instead of regular tea. Think camomile, for example.

Don't worry. Whatever I use will be extremely limited, so there's really only the scent of it, but not much of an effect. As for teas, I was thinking green or oolong, but while green tea is more popular at the moment, I'm more a fan of oolong tea.
I am thinking about making a lotion-like relaxing oil, too.
But that's not nearly my list of things I might use, just some of the stuff I'm more concerned about, since they're not usually seen in makeup and the like.

I'm not allergic to any of the things you listed.
The idea of a more natural cosmetic line is wonderful.

I am not a girl but I do wear make up and dress like one so for what it's worth I like the Idea and I am allergic to none of those products.

I love hand made cosmetics as well! I have a gorgeous serpent green-black eyeshadow that's super glittery and shimmery and I love it. <3 I would buy definitely! I'm not personally allergic to any of those, though if you're making eye shadow... having some of those things near your eyes, like cinnamon, might not end up well.

I'm not allergic to any of the above, and I think it's a lovely idea. ^^ Reminds me of Burt's Bees!

I'm not really allergic to any, but I'm sensitive to cinnamon. Those sound cool, I'd definitely buy them.

I'm not allergic to any of them, but I don't like the smell fo coffee. You may want to stay away from the stronger scented stuff when it comes to the cosmetics.
