Another one of my friends is going to the army... I hate it! That's seven people I know out there. It drives me crazy... and I'm only going to lose more people to it....
My brother's out there... And now my sister is going too... Not to mention all the friends I have out there.
I just want a decient answer to the question why, you know?

No!! Not Jess, oh god no! Vanessa is going, not Jess. s**t... Sorry, Ristua. I didn't mean to freak you out like that.
No, Jessica is staying. Vanessa is going.
Luna, how do you deal with the pain of missing them? I don't handle these things very well. My brother, Jerod, is in Iraq right now and my sister, Vanessa, is leaving next month. Her husband is in basic training right now too.
I just want them safe and happy you know? And knowing that Jerod isn't happy... knowing he's depressed... there's nothing I can do to make it better for him. I'm stuck here and all I want to do is hug him.
How do I learn to cope with all this? crying crying help me

*glomps Ristua* It's okay sweety. Just having your support is good enough.
By the way, Jerod is coming home for a while in a couple of days. I'm so excited because this will be his first birthday home since he's left.

Awwww, I'm so sorry! -glomple hugs- -squeezes tightly-
T - T My best friend, the one that's like a sister to me, is leaving in a few months for five years because her husband is in the army and he wants her on base with him. I know how much I'm going to be depressed, so I can't even begin to imagine how much you are hurting. -holds up arms for more huggles if you need them-

I am a military spouse. A lot of people ask how can a pagan join the military if they are all " hippies". Well my response is look at the pagan culture and everyone has a God and Goddess of war (sometimes many). Not only is it a very pagan thing to do but logically the job is secure and in a time of economic uncertianty that is important. While my husband kinda joined for the money (though the us government doesn't pay minumim wage until you are at least an E-5 or above) he has gotten so much more from serving. He has been able to provide a life for his family he never thought he could, we have traveled to awesome places, he is healthier and his family does not have to worry about safty. Yes there is a war going on but the you can get around deploying for years. A high ranking NCO I know has been in the military for 20+ years and has never been deployed. (mind you that is 2 wars we have gone through)

*Hugs* I was a military spouse. My husband was medically discharged last year. It is hard and genuinely sucks sometimes. I am sorry that you have so many loved ones at risk. *hands out warm cookies to all*
