Pokemon can't die in the games, because that's not child friendly. It was avoided to eliminate any sort of emotional distress. But it's true, like any other living being, Pokemon can eventually die.
Also, it occurs to me that this thread is in the wrong subforum, isn't it? I'm not a mod, so I should keep my mouth shut tho...

The main forum would have been better for this.
And yes, in Pokémon tower, and the like, there are graves for Pokémon.

No one's mad at you.
I'm guessing you're pretty young, though, to notice that as something odd. *keeps 1st gen mouth shut*

Yeah, a lot of things are dumbed down/glossed over in the games to make them more kid-friendly. Like breeding. Every Pokémon comes from an egg to make things simple, and no one in the entire world has any idea where these eggs come from, which always irked me.
And according to many non-game outlets, certain legendaries have breeding populations (such as Lugia and the Latis), but they're unbreedable in the games to keep them special and elusive. But this is fine with me. Don't want to throw the metagame off if everyone can breed an army of perfect legendaries.

crazy ace david also team rocket "nnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" does normal bad guy stuff like killing or stealing unless their Pokemon Oh stars, I agree so hard. They're supposed to be an international mafia that's so badass, even the Leagues kinda fear them. They can't get that kind of reputation just by stealing Pokémon. I can understand why GameFreak really toned down the Rockets, but it annoys the ******** out of me when the fans think that Team Rocket is really that mild, too.

Golem and me had a conversation on breeding/eggs a few years back...we discussed how the old couple are probably so senile, well....Old Lady: "Oh, dear me, those Pikachu seem to be very friendly with each other." Pikachu: "Oh GOD, harder, mmmmmm...."
Next day... Old Man: "Oh my, where did this egg come from?"(Hidden to prevent innocent eyes; scroll over but I bear no responsibility for your actions)
I also believe that the legendaries can't breed in-game because they'll refuse to breed in captivity/etc.
