idk about you, but my parents don't really like it that much. They usally support me in the things I do (like being vp of my schools peace club) but they seem torn about JROTC, idk why really, it's not like it's a bad program, they know it's good for me and that's where I met many of my closest friends. What do your parents think about it?

my parents like it. it's taught me a lot about respect and responsibility and such. in my school, it's mandatory so everyone does it. and because it's a navy school, it's very conservative. which is what my parents, and i, like.

My parents LOVE that I'm in the program. My dad geeked out when I sent him a pic of my beret, and when my mom found out we won comp., SHE geeked out. they feel it's a good way for me to become a respectful, responsible young man, and that's what JROTC is doing to me.

My parents thinks it's a wate of time if I'm not receiving the same amount of national awards, if not more, than my brother did. They also think it's a waste of time now that I would have been my unit's commander next year but had to step down from the job for scheduling reasons.
life ********' sucks, and my parents exist to make it worse.

My parents think that the program itself is a good thing and they like that I am involved in an extra curricular activity (they have even chaperoned on trips and were on the military ball committee) but they are afraid I am going to enlist. (They don't think I will be drafted, note the difference.) Honestly though, I can see where they are coming from. I am the first born and they started my college funds late so I am looking in to the military for college funding.
