I have a question about taking in a sugar glider. Recently, one of my friends told me about her boyfriend having a sugar glider that he didn't want and asking me if I wanted it since she knew I helped take care of another friend's. The sugar glider is given attention and held maybe once a week and they never bonded with it because they were scared of it biting. When I told them about the dependancy of suggies, he realized that the suggie wasn't for him and is giving it to me. I'm worried though, since Sarah says she thinks the suggie is about a year old [maybe a little younger]. Since it was never tamed, will it not want to go to a new home or be tamed? I'm fully prepaired to try to bond with it even if it takes a longer time, and I am close to having the funds to get it a fellow glider, but I just want to know what I am looking at.

It's never to late to tame a suggie!
You just have to work hard at it!;3
Message me sometime if you'd like.
Bye!

It can be a challenge to bond with a rescue, BUT it IS possible AND worth it!!! My little guy ********* was actually probably around 4 or 5 when I took him in and though those who knew him before said he was a biter and such (P.S. DARLING Siggy!!!!).
Just remember the 3 Ts! Treats, Tent, and TIME!

[The siggy was made by someone here actually.]
Yeah, I found out that the sugar glider is about 8 months old. Connor is now all of a sudden getting very skeptical giving his suggie to someone he doesn't know but its not like I'm going to be all "No, you can never see him again!" XD He can see him whenever he wants and I've very calmly explained to him that if he doesn't take care of it better or let me take care of it, he isn't going to have it much longer. So now I might not even be getting this one.
And tent? That one I've never heard, but I did find out that a girl at our school keeps her bonding pouch on during school and was assured by the VP that I am allowed to wear it to school. eek

A lady in our town wore hers all the time at the library and stuff. But I am not sure if she was only allowed because she had anxity disorder and they helped. Sort of like being seeing eye dogs.
