Blaze had made a fair few passes along the edge of the camp that Rina had told him about. While he was not an impatient fox, he was a fidget by nature. He had a great deal of trouble sitting still due to the amount of energy he usually possessed. A little ways from the camp though he found a small pond with crystal clear waters and he had noticed that the pangs of thirst had come to greet him while he waited for her.
He landed near the bank, his wings folding in against his sides as he took the steps remaining to the bank and dipped his head down. His nose came to rest centimeters from the water and he sniffed out of habit, the scent of the crisp and clean water filling him with a sense of glee as his tongue came to lap at the cool fluid. He drank deeply for a time before raising his head to peer at the sky. The female he had spoken to was an Elder, and it appeared that she was the Elder of the Gypsy tribe. It was uncommon for him to find himself infatuated with another, especially in this case. Most Elders he had noticed were already spoken for, though that did not mean he would not attempt to know her.
His emotional state was hopeful, as it had been a long time since he had felt the warmth of another fox. The time where he and Loki had their little adventure and had gotten severely injured was not relevant to the situation. Blaze had finally found a Vixen that truly was just that, an undeniably beautiful and definitely otherworldly seeming fox that appealed to his every sense. However it saddened him that he knew there was no way she could possibly be single, and that he most likely had no chance.
That would not stop him from trying however, that had never stopped him before. He looked off into the sky, towards where the sun would be in another part of the world and smiled.
"Father... Just this once I ask that you aid me, just this once give me the courage to face this, this thing which I feel I cannot do alone."

Rina had noted the modiphim circling the encampment multiple times. That had given her time to finish the duties to which she had been attending, and, after seeing to that there was nothing else which urgently required her attention, she excused herself from her clan.
She was grateful to be the leader to such independent modifoxes, such that she could have time to herself, away from the clan, should she want it.
Truly, she did not much care for solitude at the moment, but the modiphim named Starwynd had requested it of her, and she felt it proper to honor his request. It would not be becoming to unsettle the visitor, whom she almost thought of as her guest, despite these lands not belonging to her, nor her tribe.
She came upon him by a pond, none too far removed from the camp. She almost fancied, that if she were to listen closely enough, she could hear the members of her clan still.
"A please to meet you again, and this time properly, Starwynd," she spoke, once she was certain he had noticed her, so as to not startle him with her approach. "I hope your journey has not been to trying."
She settled down by the pond, resting her head upon her forelegs. No, he did not look too troubled at all--he most likely had nothing of note happen to him as he came here. A pity.
Yet, she could hope, at the least.
"Did anything interesting occur on your way here?" she could not help but ask hopefully.

He turned to face her as she approached and bowed his head to her, once more fanning his wings out at his sides. He was use to being formal when meeting someone of greater station than he. While technically he was a Phim, he tended to differ to Elders, as they were meant to be wiser in the world. He had however, been in situations where Elders differed to him because of what he was and it generally made him uncomfortable.
"M'Lady... Thank you for taking the time away from your tribe to meet with me. Tiring it was not, but it did work up a bit of a thirst."
When she asked about his trip there he pondered for a moment. Something interesting was always happening to him, but he wasn't entirely sure she wanted to know the details of his constant struggle to evade the darkness that chose to pursue him. He shook his head and smiled at her, his form raising from the bow.
"Nay, there was nothing noteworthy. An odd bird or two, I do believe there was a species of Flora I was unfamiliar with that I had planned to check out later but... Aside from that, nothing really."
He turned his head to peer in the direction of her tribes camp for a moment, then his gaze returned to her. Tribes were an amazing thing to him, and they always left him intrigued. He was a social creature, he just had a hard time starting off anywhere, and then remaining... Well, that was a thought for another time.
"I hope your duties went well and that they were not too Stressful? I truly do apologize from pulling you all the way out here. Normally I do fine in crowds, but when I find myself nervous about one thing, it sort of results in a chain reaction."

"My duties are rarely stressful: those of the Gypsy Clan are strong, independent, and well able to care for themselves excepting in the most dire circumstances, and we have thus far had luck to not encounter a single dire circumstance at all."
She shook her head lightly, as if to say there was no need for his apology. There was infinite variation in modifoxes: some enjoyed crowds, some enjoyed being alone, and most were a mix of the two, sometimes preferring one, sometimes the other.
"If you are thirsty, you are of course welcome to drink. The water does not belong to me," she offered, seeing that he made no move towards the pond. She found it curious that he seemed to require an invitation. Manners, perhaps? It could seem rude to drink without anything said on her part, yet he could as well as asked. She mulled over those thoughts, waiting to see how he reacted, to see if it would be worthwhile to question him on such a thing.
Yet she also had other questions that were less easily answered--or at the least, to venture a hypothesis to--and so she posed those to him first: "What of the birds? What did they look like? And the flora? We have only just arrived here, and so I have yet to become properly acquainted with the area."
Although both were true, she also thought it likely she may already know of both the birds and the plant: while they were some distance away from the home of the gypsies, she did not believe them so far away as to encounter unfamiliar life forms as yet.

He was pleased to hear her duties had not been stressful, and he took a moment while she spoke to lower himself to the ground, his head coming to rest on his forepaws much like she had done. He had already drank, and he realized that was not apparent to her. Not that it really mattered, he would have waited anyway.
"I'm fine for the time being, but thank you. The birds? One was an odd Green and Gold color, much unlike something that I would think to be in this region at least at this time of year. The other was red, purple and black in color and was as large as my head. The Flora... The plant was an interesting one, a mix of green and blue in the stem and leaves, topped with a black, tinting into purple towards the center flower. I wasn't able to get a good wiff of it from where I was though, so the smell is unknown."
He shrugged and looked off in the direction he recalled the plant and then gazed back at Rina.
"We could go check it out if you'd like, otherwise we can remain and talk..."

"I would very much like to see this plant. I do not believe that I have yet encountered one that matches such a description."
She rose as she spoke, looking to him to lead the way towards where he had seen the flora. She had spent most of the day resting, and so she was eager to venture forth from the camp, and explore the environs a little. She knew that she must start out slowly, for those who were not accustomed to wandering as wide and as quickly as she was, yet there was also something stifling to spend so long in a place as familiar as this.
"It is indeed strange that you saw such a bird," she said suddenly, having just remembered it. "It sounds as if it would be more suited to a much warmer clime than this one.
Was the yellow mostly on the head and neck of the bird? And what color was its beak?" After some consideration, Rina thought that she may have seen such a bird before, when she had gone much further south, to a place where it was warm, even in winter.
If Starwynd answered that she was correct, and that the beak was black, then she would know for certain that it was indeed the bird she thought.
Although, if she were right, what was such a creature doing here, during the winter time? Particularly, when its home felt as summer all through the year.

He pondered for a moment as rose to lead her, tail swaying slowly behind him as he moved in the direction he recalled the flower being located. He was fairly certain this was the right direction anyway, as his sense of such was rather accurate.
"Well, the gold was primarily in the neck I believe, the face was more grey, the beak I believe was black but I'm not entirely sure. It was a very pretty specimen however, and though it wasn't overly large it definitely seemed like it was capable of long periods of flight."
His pace was actually quite quick for a fox that didn't appear to spend much time on the ground and it became evident rather quickly that he was use to travel by air and by foot. He turned his head to peer at her once briefly and grinned before bursting into run, he called back playfully as he bolted ahead.
"Well, keep up! You seemed anxious to be moving, so lets go!"
He also was apparently adept at dashing about in a heavily wooded area, as he did not misstep once, it almost seemed like his movements were mechanical at times in regards to the precision of them. It didn't take long after he began his sprinting to come to a screeching halt as leaves and twigs flew into the air in multiple directions off to his sides. He turned to face Rina and smiled at her, his tail swaying wildly and it was obvious he had just had a great bit of fun.
"It's here..."
He turned from her and walked off to the right a few dozen paces and sat down with his gaze focused on something not far off.
