ROUND ONE Dark Tournament Primary StadiumTeam Guaranteed Ultimatum In Limited Time VS Team Kirk Douglas Arena SpecsThe arena itself, which actually sits below ground level, spans one hundred feet in diameter with walls six feet high before the stands begin. The floor of the arena is sprinkled with just enough sand to cover up the stones beneath, but not enough to be significantly detrimental to footing or traction. Gates at the northern and southern end lead into the arena, through which contenders will enter upon being summoned from their quarters in order to compete in the designated match. The platform is risen only four feet off the ground. Weather Conditions and Bonus EffectsThe weather is slightly overcast, the distant roar of thunder booming from above ever so often rumbles loudly over the massive array of demons that fill the spectator stands. The crowd constantly screams for blood, regardless of who's is spilt; demons seem to be happy as long as someone's going to get torn to pieces. The fight is broadcasted on large screens, so every spectator in the stands and viewers watching at home can get a close-up of the brutality. An announcer reports all the gore directly from the ring with overflowing enthusiasm, and a ten count from her will end every match. Who will win? And who will walk out alive?

Fireworks exploded in a burst of fire and light overhead the arena, as the screams of the crowd grew instantly louder, the moment all of those die-hard fight-fans had been waiting for had finally arrived. Spectators rushed about in the stands as they try to place their final bets and desperately search for their seats, impatient for the upcoming carnage to unfold.
"Welcome humans and demons alike to the glorious Hanging Neck Island! Now let the Dark Tournament begin! Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Koto! I'll be your cute host for this tournament, and it's gonna be a messy one!" a foxgirl yelled into her microphone, dripping with enthusiasm. She seemed just as anxious to see the fights start as the bloodthirsty fans in the stands.
"Now here's the introduction you've all been waiting for! On my left, Team GUILT!" she shouted with a showy wave of her arm as she pointed in that direction, and the door on the west side of the arena opened to welcome Kenji, Omi, and Wilian.
"And on my right, Team Kirk Douglas!" Koto beamed, letting the doors on the east side of the arena cast themselves open to make way for Edward, Hexinea, J., and Gelmax.
"Both teams, please enter the arena!" the foxgirl called into the microphone, beckoning both teams over to the ring so the captains could decide the terms.
"As usual, the terms of the fight for each match can be decided by the leaders of the two teams! Of course, if the leader's can't agree, we default to one-on-one fights, determining the winner by the most individual wins. Makes sense?" Koto asked, clarifying with the approaching captains. "When you're ready, we can get this fight started!"

Striding forward first with obvious purpose, Team G.U.I.L.T. member Omi Barsait was walking out of the western gateway with an almost fanatical grin in stark contrast to his normal calm demeanor. It was inevitable; the roar of the crowd which had last spotted him within tournaments prior surged, always those eager to bet on a man who could do battle with demons & beasts and survive, others whom wanted him buried once and for all. The standard fanfare, truly.
However, standing straight up whilst a glimmer of light from a distant thunder bolt danced across his glasses' lens, Barsait commented back to his emerging team without so much as turning: "Well! I am disgusted. It would appear we have been matched up with the circus freaks and clowns of the tourney; what a waste of my time." Left hand safely tucked away in that same side's pant pocket, the right was a tightly forming fist at chest level - his sharp-edged teeth in full view for that wild grin, amber eyes peering towards the eastern entrance with a kind of fury.
The Teeth of Ignus gauntlets groaned with the stress of that right hand, ever more forming a tighter fist whilst the fighter's two snake-head pauldrons swayed with every slight movement. Almost growling through the weather's swaying of his shoulder-length hair, he pronounced: "I dislike wastes of my time. You guys alright if I get my kill's worth done and over?"

"My, oh my, what an arrogant fiend," Private Parts muttered to himself in a womanly sing-song twist on his voice. He looked over at Omi and said, "***** needs to pull his head out of his a** 'fo I bust him with my AK."
Parts had entered the arena quite inconspicuously and without flash; he had no need to wave his d**k around as a show of strength. As opposed to Parts' walking through the gate, Omi had simply shown himself to be the loudest person in the room by his entrance and the loudest person in the room was usually the first to die, or at least that's how Parts had found things went in life. He had once been the loudest person in the room, but then he lost his arm in the American Civil War fighting "those damned jungle loving gook bastards" and had quieted down considerably.
The imagined memories of warfare in the tropical jungles of the great state of Virginia made Parts made parts reach over and touch the stub of his lost left arm with his cybernetic right. He bowed his head in a moment of silence.
He finally said, "The day where I requireth my AK has come. It is not a good day."

Everyone had entry music. Normally, Edward found the theatrics annoying, but out of spite picked the first thing that came up in Hexinea's cyber brain. The leader of Team Kurt Douglas thought it absolutely appropriate. And ghetto. IntroFollowing behind J., and allowing Hexinea to take the rear, Ed entered the arena rubbing one of his eyes, his hair up in a multitude of cow licks. ******** style. He wasn't here to impress bitches. A white poster, the words written upon in black marker, hidden from all as he held it the other way around. It was an end match thing, for the purposes of humiliation. The cyborg wore a pair of long, black denim shorts, yellow sneakers, a black long-sleeved oxford, and a yellow tie. A pair of round sunglasses, with a checkerboard frame covered his eyes. Some of the demons and humans in the crowd would be able to catch a glimpse of the red wrench hanging from a belt loop on his back. He looked to the armored figure that Parts hilariously referred to. Ed rolled his eyes behind the tinted lenses of his glasses. Armor. The cyborg wasn't here to p***y out. Dropping the poster, Ed patted J. on the shoulder, "To think... That you'll forget about Ice Cube on the morrow." It was a reference to Private's excessive bipolar disorder. The captain lifted himself into the ring and approached it's center to have a meaningful chat with Team GUILT's captain. He gave the opposing team the one fingered salute. Hilariously, his face was completely blank while doing it. He wanted more sleep, not that he wasn't ready though.

Hissing and crackling, the metal monstrosity moved with a lithe grace that only three days of intense cleaning and lubrication could give. The tiny lights in its head-dome becoming blank black pits in the metal as it winced into the sunlight. It was still groggy from its heavy sedation, confused, but subdued as its dead-ish tissues were swimming in a potent cocktail of depressants and mood stabilizers. It was a necessary precaution - no point in spending millions on a tournament if one of your warriors disqualifies itself in a bout of ill-timed berserk rage. Hex was not good around crowds, and though the beast couldn't show it, the ticking hiss slithering out from between its clenched teeth was getting faster. Hungry.
A tiny head nestled between shoulder-globes five times the size - disproportion seemed to be the motif in its construction. Its body dangled between outlandishly huge arms; each looking like they could put an elephant into a headlock. It had hands big enough to crush the imagined pachyderm's skull between them without effort; it was walking on these. The body itself was clothed in a form-fitting black body glove while yet more out-sized metal was draped down its back, completely covering its spine in an interlocking section of plates that ended just above its buttocks which were, fortunately, covered by the glove. Legs swayed gently with every movement, the outsides of its hips, thighs, and calfs sporting silvery metal support rods. Its bobbing feet were encased in heavy metal bricks. All of the metal was etched with crazy symbols that hurt the eyes to look at and, unless looked at directly, seemed to crawl and glow on their own. It was a nightmare, it was a piece of art; it was an accident, it was a son. It is Hexinea.

(([X] Wilian Dawnmorrow strode in after his team member, a smirk on his face."Not just your time, I assure you." He had been eating an apple, the core of which, now finished, he threw into the throng of roaring demons. He chuckled as they fought over the scrap. "Slightly more intelligent than our foes, eh?" Over his normal shirt of black samite, with leather panels sewn in, he wore a red jacket. Besides the jacket, the thief was all in black, except for his eyes. The icy spheres met each of his foes' in turn, the smirk never wavering. His staff was on his back, his daggers were hidden, and a coin pouch lay at his waste. He had downed a metal vial before this, and he downed another now, wiping his mouth with the back of a leather-paneled hand. He leaned against the wall of the stadium, hands in pockets, waiting for their group leader to show himself.

"Slightly? I think them several leagues ahead, give them a little more credit than that. After all, they're battling over food to continue surviving; where as our opponents are willingly sending themselves to their deaths. I needn't say which is the wiser."
Grinning even more toothily, the reactions of the enemy team were expected - no, encouraged by Barsait. Too often do people favor themselves sagely in comparison to their 'barbarian' opposition, whom then wind up buried ten feet under; if his displays meant the enemy team thought him arrogant and foolhardy, all the better. It would be meaningless conjecture where it all truly mattered: the ring.
Unfortunately, one thing that was sincere of Barsait's demeanor: he was not going to be patient. Every inch of his body was screaming to engage in combat, and as luck would have it, G.U.I.L.T.'s leader Kenji Hiroshima was going to be running late. And with no alternate for the time being..
"Oi' Wilian? Mind me two favors real fast." Spitting onto the dew-laden texture of the ground below in response to the fellow flipping G.U.I.L.T. the bird, he added over his shoulder: "Watch those freaks from the east gate extra careful, and-" Grasping the right ear of his glasses, Barsait thrusted them several feet backwards in an arc, concluding: "Take care of those. I like 'em."
Hands thrusting into his pants-pockets, Omi used only his feet to propel himself up and onto the 4' high edge of the platform, much to the chorus of the crowd abound. He then started walking towards the center of the ring lazily, the fighter's entire body hunched over an inch or so as though about to lay down in bed; the only outer-detail showing him taking this seriously at all, were those unblinking eyes and that broad, nearly unhinged grin.
10 feet. 42 feet. Coming to a rough distance of 150', to the apex of that stone circle's radius - Barsait was standing perhaps an inch from being toe to toe with the enemy captain. Only giving the slightest, almost unnoticeable nod of his head - he spoke with a surprisingly polite tone: "It is my dearest regret to inform you, our captain will be late. Ergo, I, Omi Barsait-" (Ah-me Bar-sight) "-am the current captain of Team G.U.I.L.T. - a pleasure to meet you face to face. I propose a rather .. classic form of combat, if you'll agree to it. One versus one the whole way through; winner fights the next opponent, loser gets their corpse kicked to the side."
Despite the tone of voice he was taking, the expression on the dark-clad fighter's face was nothing if not disrespectful; his eyelids furthermore, never shut once. Those amber-hued pupils weren't even shaking, they just remained etched on Ed's own two eyes whether they returned the gaze or no. Leaning forward the entire time, hands tucked away - it was almost like Barsait was taunting the enemy opponent to lay a hand on him, as though knowing of an unforeseen consequence that would follow.
"Furthermore, if you would please, I will be the first combatant from G.U.I.L.T.; would you be interested in being your team's first representative?" As another distant thunderbolt cracked the air in two, a final sentence picked up by the tourney's sound systems caused a small uproar in the crowds:
"Of course.. if you're the sort who likes to send men in your place to take your beatings, I enthusiastically understand and will fight one of your more capable comrades. Your decision?"

I'm an author and here's my story... Wilian chuckled at his team mate's comments. The man certainly was direct about things. Wilian had lived long enough to recognize someone like him, someone he did not want to mess with. Good thing he's on my side, the thief thought. As the man threw his glasses, Wilian burned iron. Pale blue lines sprung up, going from his body outward to sources of metal. The thief wasn't really burning it, more he was smoldering it, or at least, that's what it felt like. He noted, pleasantly, that metal pylons surrounded the arena, and that there was a foundational support directly under the center of the stage. Those would be most useful in the bouts to come. He saw the thin line that went to the glasses, and gave it a mental tug, iron pulling it to him. This time it did burn, not a painful burn, but a pleasant warming burn in his stomach. His eyes, as always, scanned the enemy for hostility. ...My life's been full of pain, now where's my glory?

Arrogance, foolhardiness, courage, deception. They were all wasted on the steel-like pit of dead rage that was slowly being coaxed out of its torpor under the colander-dome covering Hex's skull. These higher impulses were fleeting things to it, so fairy and fleeting that it could take no strength from them, and so instead discarded them. All that mattered was the warm, liquid flush slowly draining its spinal column of depressants, it knew what this meant and it savored what was going to come next. It yearned for the white hot rush of synthetic adrenalin, longed to feel the familiar need for violence.
It did not heed any order given to it, it simply began to advance towards the raised ring, easily stepping with its hands onto the lightly sanded stone. And there it waited for the rush, grinning amidst the roaring of a crowd that it didn't care about, its panoramic attention focused on the loud little bag of wet grease before it.
"Sk-st-tk-tk-tk-tk-turn to goo."

The cyborg nodded too. His facial expression unsure as to what to make of Team GUILT's stand-in leader. He looked like he could fight, sure, but good fighters were a dime a dozen at fighting tournaments. All Ed could say was that this Omi was getting a bit too close. He wasn't sure whether his opponent was displaying his bravado, or if he was trying to score a smooch from the prettiest girl at school? Like he thought, this guy was just awfully close, and the tired cyborg was just uncomfortable. His right hand attempted to rub out the itch that had no cure with a few awkward scratches across his left bicep.
Edward stared at Omi's eyes through his huge, sunglasses; adjusting his crotch inappropriately before opening his mouth. "Hmm.." It was certainly the best way to let every know you were thoughtful, or stoned, but some could argue that both words could be used interchangeably. Omi's proposition sounded fun, but the chip attached to his biological brain which forced things like responsibility to take the forefront came forth.
"Sounds fun. But we'll just have to agree to disagree.." Swagger, just swagger. "The Mood Stabilizers isn't going to keep the big guy over there still for much longer. I need to give him something to do and soon. You'll fight the big guy." He turned around without anything else and walked away. The two teams would just have to go default this round. <******** it. Hex was already on the ring and nothing was getting it off it.
The cyborg would walk over to the much larger cyborg, tapping it on it's trunk of an arm. "Stop practicing for the spelling bee and fight THAT guy." Ed pointed at Omi.
He promptly walked over to Private, "It's nice day, huh?"

"Ice who?" Private Parts responded to Edward's initial question, but didn't get a response as the team's leader went up to talk to the obnoxiously arrogant man from the other team. Parts focused his pink eyes on the guy for a second before shrugging and deciding that he was dead anyway; Parts could smell the aggression in the air from Hexinea, and once Hexinea was unleashed, nothing survived. It would be an interesting fight, but Parts was already distracted by a few interesting looking demons in the crowd...
Hm- oh, yeah. That was Edward addressing him. Parts smiled with his black metal teeth and said, "Yessuh it is a verr-eeeee nice day, with the pink skies and the talking clouds and the woman with the kaleidoscope eyes..."

[ #1] Breaking his concentration at Edward's turn, Barsait shrugged lightly while offering the retreating leader's back a final word: "I didn't think I could bluff my way into taking you out right off the bat, anyway. Ah well, you live to fight another day." Snickering as the man with two snake-headed pauldrons gazed upon his apparent opponent - a mechanical monstrosity looking nothing if not unstable, Omi removed his hands slowly from his pockets..
.. and outstretched them fully at shoulder length, the left to the south, the right to the north. Fingertips at their peaks, his laughter now a full chorus aimed directly at the far larger opponent; more words following to acknowledge his consent to the hell-machine's intentions: "Well! Come on over, friend. Here I am, after all - my warm red blood ready to spill. Smash my bones and rip my flesh apart!"
Stepping backwards as each word was spoken, his hands remained in that scarecrow position - only the long-haired gentlemen's thumbs moving, twirling themselves in circles. It was deliberately slow movement backwards, those uneasy eyes now coating the surface of the monstrous cyborg.
It was a straight line between Barsait and Hexinea. The far smaller fighter, standing at 5'11'' and not even reaching 200 lbs. was presumed to be at a terrible physical disadvantage against the titan of steel and death; yet then again, fighting opponents four times his weight with the sole intent of ripping his spine apart was where Barsait was in his element. It was nothing new, after all. Dragons, ogres, he-men, giant demonic turtles - a cyborg would just round out his arsenal of felled Goliaths.
Roughly 150 feet. That was the distance between platform edge and the center Barsait stood upon; all Hex need do would be to traverse the radius. Still, even if the titan was faster than the fury of hell, it gave Omi plenty of time to analyze the opponent's approach..
.. or more importantly, cross his left hand over in a dramatic punching of his own right snake pauldron.
"HERE!" Striking a point on the flat-head side of the pauldron, the entire snake-head fell from the shoulder, before his fingertips slid into the under-base. Crashing into the pauldron, the Teeth of Ignus gauntlet and the Holocaust Brace pauldron locked together via a series of magnets within the material of each.
When all was said and done, Barsait now had a free right hand still in its gauntlet, a pauldron-free right shoulder.. and a left hand now obscured by the open-mouth head of the pauldron, ornate 'fangs' first whilst the fingers twittered about inside.
First, Omi wrenched the left arm ahead, the snake-head facing Hex; then he smashed his right palm over the forearm, fingertips lacing over tightly - as though steadying the left arm. His right leg arched back, left leg tensing itself and straightening forward.
Then? The G.U.I.L.T. fighter was still.

Koto clutched her mic close to her, watching the exchange of words between Ed and the stand-in-captain Omi. "It seems Edward Queensborough of Team Kirk Douglas and Omi Barsait of Team GUILT can't come to a consensus, so the matches will default to three one-on-one matches with the winner declared by the best two out of three" Koto clarified. "Omi Barsait will be the first combatant and will face off against Hexinea of Team Kirk Douglas!" Koto announced, followed by a surprised gasp from the foxgirl. "Oh my! It seems Omi has already begun his assault!" Normally, fighters were supposed to wait until Koto had given the go-ahead, but it didn't seem like these competitors cared anything about listening. Not that Koto minded, of course-- the sooner the blood was spilt and cracking bones were heard, the happier she'd be. ((Edit'd.))

((I didn't agree, actually.))
Ed looked up at Parts with a perplexed look on his face, entirely due to the other cyborg's response. He didn't pay much mind to the match, not having much of an opinion at any rate, or generally being in disinterest. Hex was a monster. If the thing won, then it was expected. If the cocky man won, then a congrats were in order. Omi would have to prove himself within the ring, but even then Edward was unlikely to respect the man, as if Omi wanted some anyhow. The cyborg wasn't as presumptuous as to believe people wanted or needed his respect. But as his cyber brain picked up on the potential for magic, Edward couldn't help the words that came out of his mouth. "******** Meta."
He brought his attention back to the tall cyborg next to him, "Are you still thinking about the girl you threw in the lobby?"
