And lol, isn't Vegas.. too... sinful for Head? The place is home to everything he's meant to be against xD. He'll probably try to convert the entire place into some sort of twisted charity or preach-fest.

NOOOO! THAT'S HORRIBLE :'(. You're not allowed to take some sort of leave from the Base for a few hours? I'm not sure if Australian military rules are different, but a friend of mine was allowed leave from her Base for 5 hours to see Opeth (she said she had to visit a sick relative though xD) - and she's an artillery officer!
